Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said Monday that District Attorney Fani Willis had indicted former President Donald Trump and 18 others for a “conspiracy” that was exactly what Democrats did in challenging the 2000 election. The tactics of the Trump team, including claims of fraud, were neither more nor less than what Democrats had done in claiming that the election had been stolen from then-Vice President Al Gore by Republicans pushing for then-Governor George W. Bush. Fox News reported: Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz, speaking to Fox News Digital, criticized the pending indictment, calling Trump’s actions “very similar” to...

California cities are adopting rent control as housing production plummets, leading to further declines in the housing development necessary to make rents more affordable. The neighboring Los Angeles County cities of Maywood, Bell Gardens, and Cudahy, each dense, renter-heavy communities long known for their affordability, have adopted rent control measures, according to The Los Angeles Times. The efforts are aimed at preventing outmigration of longtime residents as vast shortfalls of housing production and increasingly high desirability have led housing prices to explode. Citing high levels of local poverty, especially among the elderly, the City of Maywood froze rent increases through...

A new ad released earlier this month by the Trump campaign shows the starkest contrast between the Trump economy and Biden's disastrous economic agenda yet and it is perhaps the most powerful message contrasting the two men in the 2024 race. The ad opens with a focus on Biden's failing economy, the so-called 'Bidenomics.' The Biden economy is emblematic of high inflation, high gas prices, and high-interest rates."Thanks to Joe Biden's war on American energy, in 2022, Americans paid the highest gas prices ever. Over $5 a gallon," the narrator says. "In fact, Joe Biden has set a lot of records....

In life, when you find out your friend is not there for you, will not defend you, ignores you, betrays you, fails you, and doesn’t even like you – you move on. It’s better to be alone than to face the pain of betrayal over and over again. Last night was the last straw.

On Monday, prosecutors charged disgraced former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried with seven counts of fraud and money laundering, alleging he had stolen over $100 million in customer funds to make contributions to political campaigns. Bankman-Fried was originally indicted for conspiracy to make unlawful campaign contributions in 2022, however, prosecutors dropped that charge in order to ensure the Bahamas allowed for his extradition back to the United States. The superseding indictment stays true to that agreement, and does not include that charge. According to Reuters, the US Attorney's Office in Manhattan filed a superseding indictment on Monday evening, accusing him of...

The federal judge overseeing the 2020 presidential election case against former President Donald Trump raised the point last year that Trump was still “free” after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who has overseen a number of cases against Jan. 6 rioters, made the observation while sentencing one of them in October, a revelation that comes as critics raise concerns about perceived bias in Chutkan's background. “I see the footage of the flags and the signs that people were carrying and the hats they were wearing and the garb, and the people who mobbed that Capitol...

My daughter is marrying in England, rather a bit above our station, and Mrs. Jewbacca I need help on how to write the wedding invitation. My daughter matched (and mutually liked) with a great kid (man) in England. All agree they are rather wonderful together. His parents are a bit high born compared to this redneck Israeli family. We are tasked with ordering wedding invitations, and, while the mother of the groom will approve the invitation and (undoubtedly notice) errors, she is so polite and proper, she may think it rude to tell us we've messed up. We'd like to...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then...

Unknown gunmen killed presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio – running on a strong-on-crime, anti-corruption, anti-China platform – on Wednesday night before a massive crowd outside of a campaign event in Quito, Ecuador. Villavicencio was one of eight candidates vying for the presidency of Ecuador. The election remains scheduled to take place on August 20, the result of current President Guillermo Lasso, a conservative, using a constitutional provision to dissolve the National Assembly (the federal legislature) in May and call for general elections. Lasso claimed the unprecedented measure was necessary because leftist lawmakers’ incessant attempts to impeach him had made the regular...

August is the time of year that the majority of Europeans head off on vacation, and Americans reading the news are reminded of how crappy the paid time off policy is in the US.That is no doubt true. Attorney General Merrick Garland once again reminded the country on Friday why he has never deserved to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS).With evidence mounting of Joe Biden’s role in his family’s foreign business ventures, Garland announced the launch of a special counsel investigation into Hunter Biden for purported criminal activity. According to the Biden-appointed attorney general, the investigation will be led by David Weiss, the same U.S. attorney who concocted the now-derailed sweetheart plea agreement granting Hunter — and by default, Joe — immunity from future federal charges.Unsurprisingly, Garland did not take any questions from reporters following the...
