Skittles candy, which has the slogan, "Taste the rainbow," is the latest company to take heat from consumers because of new packaging that has the phrase, "Black Trans Lives Matter." Some consumers are now calling to boycott the candy company for its "woke" approach to support the LGBTQ community. Skittles is a product from the Wrigley Company, which is a division of Mars, Inc. When visiting Skittles.com, the top of the page has a clickable option titled, "SKITTLES Pride," and when clicked, the animation says, "There’s a story in every rainbow." "We’ve given up our rainbow so that the LGBTQ+...

Speaking with CNBC in an interview set to air in full Monday evening on Last Call, DeSantis said that he and his allies have 'basically moved on' from the fight with Disney. 'They're suing the state of Florida. They're going to lose that lawsuit,' he added, claiming that if Iger called him today he would give him the advice to 'drop the lawsuit. 'All we want to do is treat everybody the same, and let's move forward,' DeSantis said, ready to bury the hatchet. 'I'm totally fine with that. Here was what Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz had to say in May about the upstate New York area getting a flood of illegal alien migrants. “I have been advised by representatives of New York State that we will soon be joined by an as-yet unknown number of asylum-seekers, people who have been forced out of their own countries by authoritarian rulers or for other serious life-threatening reasons. These individuals are all legally in the country seeking asylum, have been vetted by federal authorities prior to arriving here and will be coming from New York City.”“It should be noted,...

Politico released a detailed piece about McConnell’s efforts to curb the ascending Trumpist wing of the Republican Party and fend off Trump-leaning Republicans’ noninterventionist sentiment. He told Politico that the “most important thing going on internationally right now is the Ukraine war.”

Melbourne Freedom Fighter Pauline is shocked at the torture of Julian Assange for telling truths. All we mortal human beings usually seem to need to speak our truths as best we can. Godless tyrants now frequently destroy what's best in themselves and too many innocent victims. “I do not play games," Mila Kunis has said, "but always just say what’s on my mind. Ostentatious Godless tyrants now frequently destroy what's best in themselves and too many innocent victims. – for fools. If a man's afraid of your honesty, it means that he is not the one you need."

Attorneys representing former President Donald Trump on Friday excoriated the Fulton County District Attorney's office for posting charges against him before the grand jury proceedings had finished, contending that the incident suggested the case was mired in constitutional errors. A county website on Monday briefly posted apparently criminal charges against the former president, including ones on state racketeering, conspiracy to commit false statements and solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer. They were quickly removed from the site, but not before numerous outlets highlighted the evidently inaccurate posting. The Trump legal team fumed over the posting, saying "[t]he...

Michael Oher, the former NFL offensive lineman and inspiration for the 2009 box office success "The Blind Side," told a Tennessee judge on Monday that contrary to the film version of his life he was never adopted by the Tuohy family, and alleged that the family earned millions from the story. Oher, now 37, has petitioned a Shelby County judge to revoke the conservatorship from the Tuohys, arguing that he's old enough to handle his own business affairs. The Tuohys "have falsely and publicly represented themselves as the adoptive parents of Michael," the petition claims. In "The Blind Side," Lee...

An everyday man comes out of rural Virginia with a folk song empathetic to the working class, and the executive editor of National Review is triggered into attacking him and the song. This establishment elite is so above it all he dissects “Rich Men North of Richmond” lyric by lyric. Honestly, the best way to read these excerpts is in the voice of Thurston Howell III: “Yes — it is a damn shame what the world’s gotten to. But we can fix it. We don’t have to just dream about it.Indeed, if we want to, we can fix it on...

The Bulwark, a site founded by ex-Republicans who hated Trump so much that they also jettisoned whatever conservatism they claimed to believe in, substacks its thinkpiece as, “The Media Still Doesn’t Get Biden Voters”, complaining that the media spends a great deal of time studying Trump voters, but not Biden voters. Reporters don’t do safaris to “Biden Country,” seeking to understand the voters who put him in the White House. While there are pieces explaining how, for example, black women in Georgia suburbs made a big difference in the 2020 election, there’s nothing approaching the ongoing coverage of white men...

Climate is the description of the long-term pattern of weather in a particular area, according to NASA. We think of Florida or Aruba having a warmer climate, compared to Maine or Canada. Weather is short term, whereas climate is long term. As NASA explains:The difference between weather and climate is a measure of time. Weather is what conditions of the atmosphere are over a short period of time, and climate is how the atmosphere "behaves" over relatively long periods of time. What is meant by “long periods of time”? Given the Earth’s age of around 4.5 billion years, one might think...

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre both mispronounced the names of Hawaii’s two Democratic senators and misgendered one of them at a Monday press conference after the island suffered the most devastating US wildfire in more than a century. “Senator Harino [sic], who I said the president spoke to just last night, he thanked the president for the immediate support of federal agencies have delivered for residents of Hawaii,” the Biden administration’s chief spokesperson told reporters, “and so does, has, so has Senator Shorts, Sharts — Schatz.” Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), the first female senator from the Aloha State, is...

"And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing." "And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. "And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him." Luke, Chapter 22 1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. 2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they...

The catastrophic wildfires on Maui have spurred many to speculate on what caused such a tragedy on an otherwise lush tropical island. And, of course, many in the climate cult are simply closing their eyes, covering their ears, and shouting that climate change is the cause of this tragedy, and that everyone of us with our use of fossil fuels is personally to blame. As of this writing, at least 93 are dead and the community of Lahaina lies in smoldering ruins as firefighters struggle to contain blazes on the island. People have been stunned to hear about a wildfire,...

It’s always interesting when the media make someone or something a cause. A few may remember, for instance, golf prodigy Michelle Wie. In the early 2000s when she was about 14, the media relentlessly promoted the six-foot lass after she showed promise and boasted of how she was going to beat the men, including then-world number one Tiger Woods. For the media love feminism-buttressing, girl-power stories, and Wie wasn’t complaining: Much like Barack Obama getting a Nobel Peace Prize based on perceived potential, the positive press eventually won the golfer a $50 million Nike contract. Oh, today, at age 33,...

California lawmakers are considering legislation that critics warn could criminalize parents’ speaking out at school-board meetings or otherwise criticizing school officials. Passed by the California Senate in May and now under consideration in the Assembly, SB 596 would amend state law to classify causing “substantial disorder” at a school-board meeting or engaging in “harassment” of a school employee as a misdemeanor punishable by fines and imprisonment. It would also broaden the definition of “school employee” to include “any employee or official of a school district, a charter school, a county office of education, a county board of education, the state...

Video: https://twitter.com/ClownWorld_/status/1691096692345753600Santino Burrola thought he was following the rules. When he noticed a man pushing a cart full of laundry detergent out of the Denver-area King Soopers grocery store where he worked as a security guard, the former military police officer pulled out his Samsung Galaxy S22 phone and started filming. Following the man and a second suspect out to the parking lot, Burrola recorded the pair hastily loading the haul into a black Chevrolet Trax, where a third man was waiting in the driver's seat. When one of the men closed the hatchback, Burrola noticed the license plate was...

Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted a draft law that would end the requirement for Russia to notify the Council of Europe when it declares or lifts martial law. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, there has been speculation about whether Putin would put Russia on a full war footing, including a declaration of martial law and full mobilization. Russia had to notify the Secretary General of Europe's 46-member human rights organization, as well as the United Nations, if it intended to declare a state of emergency, which would restrict the rights of its citizens.
