One of the signs of the slow and uncertain development of the Ukrainian counteroffensive is the large number of destroyed armored vehicles, including those of NATO origin. Despite this, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (OSU) continue to put pressure on the first line of defense, ignoring their own losses. At the same time, one can already assume what could serve as a sign that the counter-offensive is beginning to wind down after all.

The Biden administration is cracking down on water heaters by imposing greater efficiency standards. Consumers will have to shovel out thousands of dollars more to install a heat pump water heater rather than a conventional storage water heater in order to fall in line with new standards released on Friday by the Department of Energy. If the proposal is adopted, by 2029, all new electric water heaters must deploy heat pump technology and all gas-fired ones will use condensing technology.

The chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, which has taken a leading role in the House’s inquiry into Hunter Biden, is not fond of the idea of a special counsel being appointed to investigate the president’s son. Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the Oversight Committee, said he doesn’t want to see a special counsel appointed by the Department of Justice to investigate Hunter Biden because his committee, along with House Ways and Means and Judiciary Committees, are already doing the work. “I have no confidence in special counsels,” Comer said this week. “I have no confidence in...

You would think that amidst countless disagreements between the Left and the Right, one vital area might see agreement: the welfare of children. You also would think that both sides would concur that luring children, grabbing them off the street, or snatching them at the border by those who sell them into sexual slavery, is truly abominable. Alas, you’d be wrong. A movie, The Sound of Freedom, making the rounds in America should not be political in any way. It is, after all, about a worldwide phenomenon that is despicable beyond words. If ever evil existed in the world, it...

Lieberman was responding to the news that the Biden administration was going to target hot water heaters for more regulation. Apparently, the regulatory gurus at the Department of Energy claim that “the new water heater standards will curb carbon dioxide emissions and save Americans billions in the long-term,” according to a Friday press release.“Consumers aren’t going to like any of it,” Lieberman continued,...

The Miss Italy beauty pageant will not allow transgender women to compete in the contest, organisers said. Miss Italy patron Patrizia Mirigliani said contestants must be a 'woman from birth' and the competition would not be jumping on the 'glittery bandwagon of trans activism'. It comes after the Netherlands crowned its first male-born winner of a female beauty pagaent, 22-year-old Rikkie Valerie Kollé, on July 8. She added it was a 'little absurd' beauty pageants were trying to attract attention by including transgender contestants. But Ms Mirigliani said she was happy for the Dutch contest if it wanted to include...

On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, Huw Pill, the Bank of England's chief economist, warned U.K. citizens that they need to accept that they are poorer and stop pushing for higher wages. "Yes, we're all worse off," he said, saying that seeking to offset rising prices with higher wages would only fuel more inflation. "So somehow in the U.K., someone needs to accept that they're worse off and stop trying to maintain their real spending power by bidding up prices, whether higher wages or passing energy costs through on to customers, et cetera." This was a somber assessment of the state...

How's this as a consequence of radical leftist policies that coddle society's troublemakers? As of Sunday, the San Diego Union-Tribune ran a Page One above-the-fold story by Paul Sisson headlined "Hospitals in County Look for Ways to Cut Attacks on Workers," which is an important story indeed because it points to the consequences to innocent hospital workers of constantly coddling bums, illegals, drug addicts and criminals, all of whom were named as perpetrators in the piece. For some strange reason, the story not there on the San Diego Union-Tribune's website and I looked and looked. I don't think it's a...

Last week, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced charges against 16 Trump electors who submitted their votes as alternates amidst belief that there would be an honest investigation into the 2020 election. The charges include forgery, election fraud, and conspiracy. The Gateway Pundit published a video where the electors publicly called their votes a “back up slate” and affirmed, “this is not a replacement.” Their actions were to give a “life vote” to Michigan legislators under the presumption that there would be an honest investigation/audit of the Michigan election, especially in Wayne County, where canvassers initially refused to certify the...
