I’ll be interested in seeing the statements from African leadership regarding their relationship with Russia. I doubt the Africans will be much swayed by Western propaganda. I know a good many of them are wanting to join South Africa in BRICS. We will see who they blame for the grain deal being blown up and the hundreds of thousands of tons of free Russian fertilizer destined for Africa that are now blocked in EU ports.

If they’re in St. Pete this Thurs/Fri, they’re going to miss seeing the Rays, who will be in Houston against the Astros. The way the Rays have been playing this month, that might not matter.

Oh, never mind...

It is obviously clear that no African has bought into the Western grain deal narrative. It was handled so incompetent that most Africans hate the West at this point.
It was advertised as the way to prevent Putin from starving Africans, Putin has offered Africans free grain and fertilizer on terms that the West lifts the sanctions on Russian shipping.
In the end the sanctions weren’t lifted and no free grain and fertilizers arrived from Russia which is evidently a Western fault.
Of the Ukrainian grain, only 2,8% arrived to Africa, and most ended up in Spain, crashing the price and bankrupt in local farmers at the same time.
I mean the entire plot is so dim-witted in terms of reputational damage for the West as if Putin himself plotted it.
