Americans are pulling hundreds of billions of dollars out of banks at the fastest pace in nearly 39 years as many economic experts are beginning to predict a repeat of the 2008 “Great Recession.” According to an analysis of the most recent data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), “depositors took a total of $472 billion out of their accounts in the first quarter of this year – shattering a 39 year record,” the Daily Hodl reported. “The quarterly decline is the largest reduction reported in the QBP since data collection began in 1984. This was the fourth consecutive...

Tehran (AFP) – Iran and Saudi Arabia took a further step Saturday to seal their reconciliation as Riyadh's top diplomat made a landmark visit to the Islamic republic following a seven-year rupture. Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan held talks with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian focusing on regional security. He later met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, and was due to hand him an invitation "to visit the kingdom soon". Sunni Muslim power Saudi Arabia severed relations with Shiite-led Iran in 2016 after its embassy in Tehran and consulate in the northwestern city of Mashhad were attacked during protests...

Former President Trump slammed the House Republicans who voted with Democrats to block the resolution that would have censured Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.). Trump said in a Truth Social post on Friday that any Republican who opposed the censure resolution should face a primary challenge for the GOP nomination for their next election.

On Wednesday, the longtime soccer rivalry between the U.S. men's national team and Mexico will begin a new chapter. For the first time in match involving these two teams, a U.S. Soccer Federation policy that bans discriminatory chanting will be in effect. When the game at StateFarm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, kicks off, it will then be revealed just how serious the USSF is about rooting out an ugly aspect that has long stained the rivalry. At issue has been the anti-gay slur in Spanish that fans yell at games when there is an opposition goal kick. That slur is...

An opinion column in a major San Francisco newspaper tied American drivers’ frustration with cyclists to "racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia." The piece, published by University of California, San Francisco professor Ruth Malone this week in the San Francisco Chronicle warned readers that the annoyance they may feel at sharing roads with bicyclists during their commutes comes from the same place that racial hatred and other major societal stigmas come from. It also argued that cyclists’ push for equal status on the road as drivers is similar to gays coming out of the closet, and women’s suffrage. The column began...

Tucker Carlson began his most recent episode of Tucker on Twitter relating the story of a top Fox News producer who was just fired by the network. The producer had been with the network for a decade. His offense was to air a chyron calling Joe Biden a “wannabe dictator” under a clip that was up for 27 seconds. The White House and other leftists immediately complained with Fox speedily apologizing. Fox News ran two live video feeds next to one another. On the right, Donald Trump addressed his supporters in New Jersey. On the left, Joe Biden spoke at...

Today — or rather, tonight — in history, Vlad the Impaler launched a midnight raid against Muslim invaders that would cause his name to live on forever as Dracula, the terror of the night. The year was 1462. Ottoman sultan Muhammad II (“Mehmet”) had demanded tribute, by way of gold and Romanian boys, to serve as his slave soldiers (janissaries). Vlad III Dracula — better known as Vlad Țepeș, or the “Impaler” — the ruler of Wallachia (in modern-day Romania) responded by sending the Muslim emissaries back to Muhammad with their turbans nailed onto their heads. So it would be...

There wasn’t any reason to think Cole James Bridges was anything more than an average young American. After he graduated from high school, he worked at a Papa John’s pizza shop in Stow, Ohio, for a while, and then, in Sept. 2019, joined the U.S. Army. He got sent to Fort Stewart in Georgia, where he became a cavalry scout. Thousands of young Americans have followed paths similar to the one Bridges embarked upon, but then he took a sharp turn no one expected: on Wednesday, Cole James Bridges pleaded guilty to trying to aid ISIS’ efforts to kill American...

On Monday the latest motion of censure against the government of President Emmanuel Macron failed in the National Assembly. 239 of the 577 members supporting it members from the Left and the National Rally along with the deputies from France's overseas territories. The government-aligned parties do not have a majority in the Assembly either but with the support of the Mainstream "Right" Les Republicains they found a majority to turn back the censure motion. LR leader Eric Ciotti has been making noise on immigration and was given an audience this week with President Macron... More fuel poured on the fire...

As usual, Biden’s federal government is aiming for the wrong target. Twenty armed IRS agents reportedly raided a Montana gun store, but only for forms filled out by gun purchasers. The Biden administration is apparently compiling data on gun owners. The Washington Free Beacon reported in January 2022 that the Biden administration had almost a billion of Americans’ gun purchase records in an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) database. It seems the administration is still gathering data on legal gun owners. This comes as Biden and Democrats push gun-grabbing measures and the IRS is set to hire 87,000 more agents...

As a stroke victim, Senator John Fetterman has my deep sympathy. As well, he has my best wishes for recovery, a task to which he should devote himself full-time. But as he demonstrated yesterday in a hearing covering the damage to Interstate 95 in Philadelphia — a link vital to many of his constituents — he is incapable of representing them in the Senate. I watched with a mixture of pity and horror as he was unable to form basic sentences in English, much less pronounce simple words correctly, when Senator Carper from neighboring Delaware asked him to comment: Senator...

Many liberals celebrated when Hamtramck, Michigan, elected a Muslim-majority council in 2015 but a vote to exclude LGBTQ+ flags from city property has soured relations In 2015, many liberal residents in Hamtramck, Michigan, celebrated as their city attracted international attention for becoming the first in the United States to elect a Muslim-majority city council. They viewed the power shift and diversity as a symbolic but meaningful rebuke of the Islamophobic rhetoric that was a central theme of then Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign. This week many of those same residents watched in dismay as a now fully Muslim and...

Father’s Day is this weekend, and I’ll honor my father, First Lieutenant Harold Graboyes, by recalling a few of his World War II-era Army stories. Among other things, he heard about Pearl Harbor two days before the attack, was ordered to report to Germany as an interpreter despite knowing no foreign languages, was disciplined for criticizing Japanese American internment camps, established strong camaraderie with African American soldiers in a segregated town and Army, and turned down a promotion to captain because it entailed filling out too many forms. I’ll tell his stories, because Dad has been gone for 25 years...

In a just and sane world, the people trying to rip the country apart should never be near the reins of power. The fact that we have descended into a clown world tells you what happens when they do. It also tells you what they are capable of in keeping a death grip on power and why that is extraordinarily dangerous. The number-one rule for understanding the fascist far left is that they will always accuse the pro-freedom right of what they are doing. And they take charges of hypocrisy as indications of success in this endeavor. So when they...

I will try to make this scam simple so that even most journalists can understand it. The government has a goal to destroy companies that use natural resources to produce reasonably priced energy. They falsely claim that the science is settled that our consumption of oil, coal, propane, natural gas, and other things cause temperatures to rise and that temperature rise causes ice to melt, causes storms to be worse, and will cause a very dangerous sea level rise. Of course, they never show the scientific data that show a correlation between crude oil use and temperatures because there are...

@joerogan Again, I’m going to ask you very clearly, are you willing to debate @RobertKennedyJr on my podcast? RE: @PeterHotez Joe if you are serious about addressing vaccines + the fact that 200,000 unvaccinated Americans needlessly perished during our awful delta/BA.1 Covid waves (including 40,000 in our state of Texas) because they fell victims to vaccine disinformation: I want to have that discussion @joerogan To those misunderstanding what he’s saying, he’s NOT agreeing to debate @RobertKennedyJr He’s just offering to come on my show by himself.

The bigger the government, the bigger the need for a huge, aggressive tax-collecting arm. Therefore, the Uniparty in Congress acceded to the Democrats’ demand for a larger IRS budget to allow the IRS to hire more agents—87,000 more agents. Today’s news brought a couple of stories about what IRS agents are doing. First, they’re using their access to businesses’ documents to collect information that the government is not supposed to have—specifically, information about gun owners: I met with Tom Vanhoose this morning after 20 armed IRS agents raided his store in Great Falls earlier this week. Tom informed me that...
