A new poll from Republican firm Cygnal shows Democratic incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear and Republican challenger Daniel Cameron in a dead heat in the race for governor, five months out from the General Election. The poll, released on Thursday, places both Beshear and Cameron with 47% of the vote, with just seven percent of voters still undecided. In a statement, Cygnal pollster Brent Buchanan said the results show that Republicans can capitalize on swing voters’ overwhelming disapproval of President Joe Biden, giving GOP candidates an advantage in Kentucky’s elections. Sean Southard, spokesperson for the Republican Party of Kentucky, also said...

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is taking on a new role in education, less than a month after she left office. Beginning this fall, Lightfoot will teach a course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health tentatively titled "Health Policy and Leadership," according to an announcement from the school. Lightfoot, who left office on May 15 after losing re-election, will serve as the Richard L. and Ronay A. Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the school beginning at the end of August. The Menschel program, according to the school, "offers a rare opportunity for those who have recently served...

Hundreds of millions of U.S. tax dollars went to recipients in China and Russia in recent years without being properly tracked by the federal government, including a grant that enabled a state-run Russian lab to test cats on treadmills, according to Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa). Ernst and her staff investigators, working with auditors at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the Congressional Research Service, as well as two nonprofit Washington watchdogs—Open The Books (OTB) and the White Coat Waste Project (WCWP)—discovered dozens of other grants that weren’t counted on the federal government’s USASpending.gov internet database. While the total value of the...

A few weeks ago, 42-year-old Jared Bossly ventured out into his farm to plant alfalfa. Bossly’s farm in Brown County, South Dakota has been owned by his family for four generations. They grow corn, beans, and alfalfa in addition to raising cattle. They also plant trees all over the property as a windbreak to protect the herd. Bossley has put his entire life into his work, and has passed those values along to his children. He and his 17-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son work on the farm daily to do the right things for the land. Every spare penny the...

At least one person has reportedly been injured after violence broke out between parents protesting outside an elementary school in Los Angeles. Protestors were seen clashing outside Saticoy Elementary School in North Hollywood about an ongoing debate regarding a planned Pride event. Parents were protesting the scheduled Pride assembly at the school on Friday, which they deemed 'inappropriate.' Counter-protesters showed up to support the Pride event. The scene became frantic as parents on both sides of the issue, as well as other protesters and counter-protesters, faced off while police looked on. Aerial footage showed multiple punches been thrown during the...

The Beatles once sang, “All you need is love.” But will Kamala Harris’ professed LOVE for electric school buses – plus the $1 billion in taxpayer subsidies she announced last October – be enough to usher in the new paradise?Hmm. Let’s do the math. The $1 billion in rebates pledged is to help purchase 2,500 electric school buses in some 391 school districts around the nation. But there are in fact about 500,000 school buses transporting children to and from school, to and from ball games and other events, nearly every school day. By simple calculation, this suggests it will...

The family of a college student who died from heart inflammation caused by Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine has sued President Joe Biden’s administration, alleging officials engaged in “willful misconduct.”George Watts Jr. in a file image. (Courtesy of the Watts family)U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) officials wrongly promoted COVID-19 vaccination by repeatedly claiming the available vaccines were “safe and effective,” relatives of George Watts Jr., the college student, said in the new lawsuit. That promotion “duped millions of Americans, including Mr. Watts, into being DOD’s human subjects in its medical experiment, the largest in modern history,” the suit states. The Public Readiness and Emergency...

It is probably a surprise to Donald Trump that so many people have reacted negatively to his recent very personal attack on Kayleigh McEnany. The most loyal of Trump supporters aren’t bothered but many regular voters are disgusted with his attack on a woman that is viewed by a lot of conservatives as America’s sweetheart. Kayleigh got on the wrong side of Trump’s ego. He decided to try to make her pay for that on social media. Trump thinks Kayleigh got his poll number wrong in a recent poll, not reflecting a large enough lead for his ego, so he...

There has been an ongoing battle in New York City over whether or not to use standardized testing and competitive admissions to identity top students. Those who are in favor of competitive admissions and standardized testing say it grants slots at the best schools to the most prepared and hardest working students. At present, those students tend to be disproportionately Asian. Those who oppose the testing for admissions, including the previous mayor Bill de Blasio, want to see a greater percentage of black and Hispanic students get access to top schools. Their goal is to “desegregate the system” and they’ve...

It’s a fishing expedition. We all know this, but the Democrats’ larger aim is to gin up the GOP base to the point where they carry Donald Trump over the finish line in the Republican primary while saddling him with endless legal drama. The GOP is then rendered invalid in carrying out a meaningful campaign, as every story about Donald Trump will be about his potential trials. He’s already facing one from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over the hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. That case is even more absurd than the Russian collusion hoax, with misdemeanor charges elevated...

oe Biden Friday evening attacked MAGA Republicans in Congress and told several lies in his first Oval Office address to the nation. This is the first time Biden has been seen in public since he took a bad fall at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado. And he’s seated in a chair. Biden falsely claimed he cut the deficit by $1.7 trillion. Moody’s already debunked this lie. Joe Biden claimed he “took office four years ago” during his address to the nation. Fact check: Joe Biden did not take office four years ago. He also took a shot...

Yesterday, acclaimed women’s activist Riley Gaines announced her endorsement of Ron DeSantis. Today, she appeared with DeSantis and his wife for a South Carolina rally. Riley has worked hard to stand against biological men participating in female sporting competition. She faced this issue first hand when a biological male decided to identify as female, change his name to Lia and compete in women’s swimming.Made it to Greenville SC, where hundreds are filing into the convention center for @RonDeSantis’ final SC event of this swing. Things kick off in 20 minutes. Expected here is ex-collegiate swimmer/transgender sports inclusion opponent @Riley_Gaines_ who...

I wrote about this story earlier today, pointing out that prior to this week the media’s general approach to unsubstantiated allegations about a US president was to publish the allegations and hash them out in public with the understanding that someone else was responsible for figuring out what’s true later. This afternoon, Fox News has another update on the story. This report claims the source behind the allegation is considered credible and has been used by the FBI in multiple previous investigations. Boy, this is really giving me a Christopher Steele flashback. A source familiar told Fox News Digital on...

The direct fiscal cost of the war — spending on soldiers and machines — is estimated to be about 3% of Russia's GDP, or roughly $67 billion a year, according to the report. By historical standards, the current war pales in comparison. The Soviet Union during World War II, for example, spent about 61% of GDP, and the US at the same time put about 50% of its GDP toward the conflict. ...Printing additional cash to fund the war would push inflation higher and weigh on Russia's citizens. Saddling banks with war debt could do the same, and both options...

A recent review of court records reveals an alarming trend at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) concerning its treatment of January 6 Capitol riot defendants. Federal prosecutors have deployed a tactic of seeking to impose fines on defendants, in addition to their prison sentences with the alleged goal of preventing them from financially benefiting from their participation in the 2021 events in DC, especially in cases where the accused has received a court-appointed public defender. Attorneys for the defendants see the DOJ’s fine requests as impairing rights to legal representation.Legitimate Fundraising?Shortly after pleading guilty to his involvement in the...

The Republican Party, after having a dismal showing in last year’s midterm elections, has still been trying to figure out what went wrong. Many on the right have pointed to issues like abortion, ineffective messaging, lack of election integrity, and other factors to explain why the red wave never materialized. But a new report suggests that the GOP might be better served by looking inward at its campaigning practices to identify what is likely a prime culprit in this matter.According to an article by NBC News, the Republican Party’s large-scale voter contact effort, which involves canvassing and door-knocking, is plagued...

Two opposing crowds of gender activists clashed yesterday after masked trans protesters carrying banners reading 'arm trans kids' descended on a women's rights event hosted by anti-trans campaigner Kellie-Jay Keen. The 'Let Women Speak' event at London's Hyde Park was disrupted as demonstrators and counter-demonstrators tried to voice their opposing views. Police restrained people at the scene after violence broke out, with officers later confirming they had made three arrests. Many trans rights activists were pictured carrying banners displaying slogans such as 'Trans joy will outlive you all', 'Cis d**** for trans rights' and 'Terfs off our turf, defending trans...

Readers likely remember when in early December 2020, Google-owned social media platform YouTube began enforcing a new policy about what it considered “misinformation” about the results of the 2020 presidential election. The platform admits that due to the policy, it took down user videos numbering in the “tens of thousands.”Now, the Big Tech company has announced it’s doing an about-face on the policy—beginning immediately. YouTube wrote in a blog post Friday that it will stop its policy of removing the videos from the platform:As of June 2, 2023, YouTube has reversed that decision: The video giant announced that it “will...

You probably could have predicted that Joe Biden would take a victory lap after the debt deal finally went through on Thursday. Indeed, I predicted earlier in the day how it would go when I was talking to a family member — Biden would claim what a great bipartisan achievement he’d shepherded while attacking the Republicans over Social Security and Medicare (saying he saved it for Americans). Then he would take no questions.Damn, if I wasn’t right on the money. Of course, it wasn’t anything special — it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to game out their plan. I’ve just...
