The West’s proxy war against Russia in the Ukraine has led to progressively more deadly weapons systems and ammunition to be delivered to Zelensky’s Nazi regime.Possibly, the most controversial of these deliveries are the deadly radioactive shells for Challenger 2 tanks that the British government has given Ukraine.Robert F. Kennedy Jr commented on Instagram:“In another reckless escalation, Britain has confirmed delivery of depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine. DU munitions should be banned. They partially vaporize on impact, poisoning the environment with uranium dust that causes cancer and horrific birth defects.”On Saturday, during a massive air and missile raid on Ukraine,...

New research has identified the month when people have the strongest suicidal thoughts, and that these thoughts occur a few months before the peak of suicide behaviors in spring/early summer. It also showed the daily peak in suicidal thought is between 4-5 a.m. Most people assume suicide rates will be highest in winter, yet spring/early summer is when suicidal behaviors peak and this finding has baffled researchers since first identified. Brian O'Shea and René Freichel show that suicidal thoughts are, in fact, highest in winter (December), and they developed a conceptual model for why suicidal behavior takes a few months...

Using new genetic tools to study statins in human cells and mice, researchers have uncovered how the cholesterol-lowering drugs protect the cells that line blood vessels. The findings provide new insight into statins' curiously wide-ranging benefits, for conditions ranging from arteriosclerosis to diabetes, that have long been observed in the clinic. Liu tested simvastatin on lab-grown human endothelial cells. Endothelial cells make up the lining of blood vessels, but in many diseases they transform into a different cell type, known as mesenchymal cells. "Mesenchymal cells are less functional and make tissues stiffer so they cannot relax or contract correctly," Liu...

Investigators found that fatty liver promotes the spread of colorectal cancer to the liver. The threat of climate change is so dire that the World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab is demanding that "standards of living in the west must be reduced by at least 75% if there is to be any hope of saving the planet. Every individual would have to give up personal car use, energy usage, meat-eating, and other wasteful so-called necessities. For most people, this lifestyle would mean abject poverty, misery and minimal, if any, freedoms." Of course, Schwab himself lives a life of unconstrained luxury and expects to continue to do so "because I am not like most people....

Cargo Cult Science Richard Feynman From a Caltech commencement address given in 1974 Also in Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! During the Middle Ages there were all kinds of crazy ideas, such as that a piece of of rhinoceros horn would increase potency. Then a method was discovered for separating the ideas--which was to try one to see if it worked, and if it didn't work, to eliminate it. This method became organized, of course, into science. And it developed very well, so that we are now in the scientific age. It is such a scientific age, in fact, that...

Recep Tayyip Erdogan has addressed his supporters from the balcony of his AK Party headquarters in Ankara, and started off by singing a love song for his supporters waiting for him. He continued: "Even though the final results are not in, we are far ahead. We still don’t know the final official results, we are still waiting for the will of the nation...

Approximately 60 students at a Kansas City high school walked out of classes Wednesday to protest a veteran teacher who had written a op-ed criticizing school diversity policies and allegedly doesn’t use students’ “preferred” pronouns. Caedran Sullivan wrote late last month in The Lion that she could “no longer stay silent” about the Shawnee Mission School District “fostering a toxic environment” with its DEI trainings. “There is repeated white shaming and a preoccupation with white people as the ‘oppressor,’ including staff field trips with a focus on ‘systemic racism,’ Sullivan wrote. “The white saviorism and virtue-signaling at DEI meetings is...
