  • CNN Shut Down the Town Hall Early . . . Mercy Rule?

CNN likely had more viewers of their town hall event with President Donald Trump Wednesday night than most of their regular shows combined. It was the first time I’d watched more than a clip from the network in years. Knowing the advertising boom this brought for them, it was odd that they cut off the interview over 20-minutes longer than they had allotted. Congressman Matt Gaetz has a theory: Did CNN cut it short because Trump was doing SO WELL? I’ve never seen a Town Hall get called like a “Mercy Rule” before. Did that really happen? Sometimes I wonder how Republicans get out of bed every morning without severely injuring themselves. Take a minute to hear the truth from a strange but accurate source: sex cult leader Osho. “Democracy basically means government by the people, of the people, for the people. But the people are retarded. So let us say government by the retarded, for the retarded, of the retarded.” I feel this. James Comer (R-Ky.) promised he was going to release evidence of financial misconduct by the Biden family. What we got instead of bank records is a memo written by the House Oversight Committee...
  • Major Retailer to Close Flagship San Francisco Store After Less than a Year

Another major retailer is leaving downtown San Francisco — this time Coco Republic, an Australian furniture store that is leaving the iconic Union Square less than a year after opening a flagship location there. The ongoing retail exodus from San Francisco follows years of worsening crime, drugs, and homelessness, plus a wave of “mass looting” events that have caused many other retail stores and chains to leave the city. Other reasons include a decline in foot traffic in downtown San Francisco as a result of pandemic restrictions that caused many workers to shift to work-from-home, and many residents to relocate...

When it comes to gas prices, there has been plenty to complain about since Old Joe Biden began his president act. There have also been numerous indications that aside from the alleged president’s fact-free boasting, the Biden regime actually likes high gas prices, as they help them push their green agenda. Another sign of the regime’s actual view of rising gas prices came when Old Joe tabbed Jared Bernstein to be chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. Like you and me, Bernstein has complained about gas prices. But unlike us, Bernstein thinks they’re too low.The Washington Free Beacon reported...

An Indiana sheriff’s deputy died protecting her young son from a “pitbull-type” dog that attacked them inside her home Tuesday night, according to authorities. Tamieka White, a deputy in Marion County for 17 years, was remembered as a “bright light” a day after the was pronounced dead at the scene of the grisly dog attack that also left her 8-year-old kid injured, ... R1S is a premium SUV in the line of electric cars from Rivian. It is a 7-seater EV with 3 rows and tons of cutting-edge features. Though it is a great car, it isn’t immune to certain problems. It has been recalled by NHTSA National Highway Traffic Safety Administration twice in a short span. The issues weren’t that serious, but they were causing problems nonetheless. This blog will focus on the 6 most common problems with Rivian R1S. Why are car owners facing these problems, and what can you do to solve them? SNIP 1. Loose Steering Knuckle 2. Defective...

There are geopolitical and energy realities coming to fruition that nuclear can solve. After more than sixty years, Germany closed all its nuclear power plants (NPPs) with Isar-2, Emsland, and Neckarwestheim-2 officially disconnected from the grid. Germany lost approximately 5% of its power generation. The German government went against science, reason, and grid reliability. Green hydrogen is the process of using renewables (wind and solar) for electricity to produce hydrogen. It is still in its development phase. However, to generate the amount of electricity required to unlock hydrogen from water BloombergNEF estimates: “would take more electricity than the world generates...

A man wearing a balaclava and pacing up and down a BART train this afternoon slashed a fellow passenger across the back with a meat cleaver, and caused more than a dozen other riders to scurry away in fear, according to a witness to the scene. Police arrested Charles Johnson, 24, near 1 p.m. as a suspect in the attack, according to a BART statement. Johnson was booked on two charges — assault with a deadly weapon and robbery — and violation of his probation. He allegedly attempted to steal the victim’s backpack, which was recovered, alongside the cleaver, at...

A man opened fire at a Mercedes-Benz factory in southwestern Germany on Thursday, leaving two people dead, the company said. The shooting occurred in Sindelfingen, a city near Stuttgart. The suspect, a 53-year-old man, was taken into custody, a spokesman for the Stuttgart prosecutor’s office said. Police received the first emergency calls around 1:45 a.m. EDT on Thursday morning, a police spokeswoman told the news agency dpa.

CNN CEO Chris Licht plans to offer Kaitlan Collins a new contract and the 9 p.m. time slot at the network, Puck News reported on Wednesday. Dylan Byers reported the news just hours before Collins is set to host a 90-minute town hall in New Hampshire with former President Donald Trump. It is Trump’s first town hall of the 2024 presidential campaign and his first appearance on the network in years. “Kaitlan’s offer is not contingent on her performance at tonight’s town hall, but, given the Trump X-factor, those 90 minutes have the potential to modify, accelerate, or stifle the...

The city of Berkeley has long been associated with leftism. Famed San Francisco columnist Herb Caen nicknamed the city Berserkeley as an homage to its radical politics. The extremism infects both the town and its famous campus, the University of California, Berkeley. Although most other college campuses have caught up with UC Berkeley, it’s still the grande dame of leftist extremism. That’s what makes it so lovely that Berkeley is wrestling with a bitter historic truth: The name “Berkeley” is an homage to a one-time Rhode Island-based slaveholder who was unimpressed by Native Americans. From the Bay Area News Group:The problematic...

The university has adopted radical politics in order to “dismantle systemic racism.” Texas A&M is a systematically racist institution. According to whom? According to the leadership of Texas A&M. In recent years, the College Station-based public university, originally founded with a focus on agriculture and engineering, has built a vast “diversity, equity, and inclusion” bureaucracy that has adopted the narrative of left-wing racialism, segregated students by race, and told colleagues to “stop centering whiteness.” I have obtained a collection of documents through public-records requests that reveal this stunning process of ideological capture. According to these materials, virtually every academic and...

It’s becoming a lot of fun to watch the propaganda organs react to the recently announced plan of Tucker Carlson to use the recently liberated Twitter as his future platform, post-Fox. The combination of Elon Musk, who has become a free speech disciple, and is not-so-incidentally one of the world’s richest people and widely admired by the public for his pioneering entrepreneurship, with Tucker Carlson, who already was the most important political commentator in America, has got them scared. NBC News dug up Brian Stelter, the recently-fired CNN commentator, to help its own Tom Costello bemoan the fact that nobody...

After the town hall, CNN’s Gary Tuchman spoke with eight members of the audience, most of whom were Trump supporters. One of the interesting things about their response was that they felt the same way about Trump after the event, it didn’t make them think more or less of him. But CNN immediately got hammered with their first question. Tuchman didn’t act as much like a moderator trying to get their opinion as a Democratic propagandist trying to impose his own opinion on them. He prefaced his question by saying Trump was a liar and then asked about Trump talking...

Ukrainian forces says they are conducting “effective counterattacks” in the Bakhmut area, in comments that are in line with claims from the leader of the Russian mercenary group Wagner that Kyiv has recaptured some territory. Yevgeny Prigozhin on Wednesday accused a Russian brigade of abandoning its position in front-line Bakhmut, allowing Ukraine to seize territory. He has repeatedly accused the defense ministry of failing to give his forces the supplies they need. Prigozhin also accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of lying, after he remarked that Kyiv still needs “a bit more time” before it launches a much anticipated counteroffensive. “Zelensky...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said his country needs more time to launch a much-anticipated counter-offensive against Russian forces, as the military awaits the delivery of promised aid.The expected attack could be decisive in the war, redrawing frontlines that, for months, have remained unchanged. It will also be a crucial test for Ukraine, eager to prove that the weapons and equipment it has received from the West can result in significant battlefield gains. Ukrainian authorities have tried to lower expectations of a breakthrough, publicly and in private. Earlier this month, a senior government official, who spoke on condition of anonymity,...

On Wednesday, former Army Sergeant Daniel Perry was given a sentence of 25 years in prison for his self-defense shooting of an armed Black Lives Matter rioter, even as Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas) has vowed to pardon him. As reported by Politico, District Judge Clifford Brown claimed in his remarks just before sentencing that Sergeant Perry received a fair trial, and that his conviction by an Austin jury “deserves our honor and it deserves to be respected,” despite the fact that Austin is a heavily Democratic city that is more likely to be biased in favor of far-left protesters. Brown...
