Meanwhile, the war is rapidly depleting NATO's own weapons stocks, fostering a dangerous alliance between Russia and China and costing the West support in the global south. In Ukraine itself, the number of homeless, widows, orphans, and amputees grows daily. Clearly Ukraine, Russia and NATO all need an off ramp. What matters now is not agreed preconditions for a settlement, but a clear-eyed acceptance of the need to start negotiating an end to a war that is destroying Ukraine in the hope of weakening Russia. Russia has long felt threatened by NATO's creeping expansion ….

Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX), Foreign Affairs Oversight and Accountability Subcommittee Chair Brian Mast (R-FL), Reps. Chris Smith (R-FL), Darrell Issa (R-CA), Maria Salazar (R-FL), Keith Self (R-TX), Cory Mills (R-FL), and Ken Buck (R-CO) mentioned that the committee would postpone reauthorizing the Global Engagement Center (GEC) as Republicans have accused the State Department subagency of funding censorship. The lawmakers accused the GEC of mission creep, expanding well beyond its primary mission of fighting terrorism to funding groups that hound conservative media outlets under the guise of diminishing disinformation. “The GEC’s founding mission, effectively, was to provide a ready resource for...

The City of Dallas confirmed that a ransomware attack compromised a number of servers in its system, including the Dallas Police Department's website. Late Monday morning, CBS News Texas' J.D. Miles reported that the outage impacted the department's computer assisted dispatch system, called CAD, which directs police to emergencies and other calls. The issue forced 911 call takers to manually write down instructions for the responding officers, who were only able to respond through their phones and radios. CBS News Texas obtained an image the ransomware note. The hackers claim that they encrypted the city's critical data, and threatened to...

Several counts brought against St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey will move forward. Tuesday, Judge John Torbitzky ruled there was enough evidence to move seven of the 10 counts brought against Gardner forward. The lawsuit accuses Gardner of willfully neglecting her office. The counts allowed to move forward allege that Gardner “has refused to perform a number of duties attendant to her office as Circuit Attorney,” the motion reads. The judge wrote that there was enough evidence for those counts to move forward. The three counts not moving forward are “isolated incidents to which...

Fractured American families and disturbed children. What - and who - is behind it? Over the years, a cause for teen angst, suicide, etc., has reportedly been the media. But there is no definitive evidence to corroborate that. In fact, every recent generation has traditionally pointed to the media or some other cultural factor as damaging to youth. In the 1920s, it was the Charleston, and in the 1940s, the bogeyman was radio crime dramas. Then in the 1950s, it was shoot-em-up westerns on TV and the advent of rock ‘n roll. But at the end of the day, most...

DETROIT – Leaders of the United Auto Workers are withholding a reelection endorsement for President Joe Biden until the union’s concerns about the auto industry’s transition to all-electric vehicles are addressed, according to a Tuesday letter sent by UAW President Shawn Fain to union staff. Fain, who was elected union president in March, said the UAW wants a “just transition” for workers. He argues that is currently not the case as automakers invest billions of dollars, with the support of taxpayer money, to move from traditional vehicles to EVs. “The federal government is pouring billions into the electric vehicle transition,...

Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity... W.B. Yeats, The Second Coming (1919) At the end of World War I, William Butler Yeats wrote his epochal poem The Second Coming, presumably reflecting upon both the apocalyptic and cataclysmic nature of recent events. Now, Mr. Yeats was no Christian by any stretch, but even he...

What will Tucker Carlson do next? He may try to do more than media commentary–he may run for president. Tucker will not run in 2024. That race is already Donald Trump’s to lose. The former Fox host, like most Republicans, doesn’t want to run against the former president. Tucker is a natural political candidate. He’s a people person, a good orator, and a charismatic personality. He would stand out among the stiffs who run for higher office. But his political positions would make him the best possible candidate. He’s one of the few public figures to denounce mass immigration, anti-white...

It’s still a little too early to predict the attack angle that Fox News Corp is constructing against Donald Trump for their announced control over the August 2023 presidential debate; however, the one thing we are certain of is the attack itself. You might not remember how CTH accurately predicted the attack by Megyn Kelly and the specific angle of using sexism during the August 2015 debate. That accurate prediction was an assembly of datapoints including Kelly’s lead in television appearances; the fact that FOX’s vice-president of political content, Bill Sammon, was in charge of the debate format; the fact...

A transgender female pedophile who filmed her seven year-old daughter being sexually abused for horrific porn videos is being housed in a New Jersey women's prison despite still having a penis, it is claimed. Marina Volz, 34, is serving her 25 year sentence at the notorious Edna Mahan Correctional Facility alongside her accomplice Ashley Romero, 30, who joined in the abuse of the girl. Volz, born a man named Matthew, is now recorded as 'female' in official prison records, with her presence at Edna Mahan said to be causing terror among biological women housed there. Shockingly, Volz is even said...

A New York judge tossed Donald Trump’s $100 million lawsuit against the New York Times and ordered him to pay all of the paper’s legal fees, according to a ruling Wednesday. The former president’s claims that the Gray Lady and three of its reporters hatched an “insidious plot” to get his private tax records “fail as a matter of constitutional law,” New York Supreme Court Justice Robert Reed wrote in the decision. In the 2021 suit, the embattled 45th president alleged that Times reporters Susanne Craig, David Barstow and Russ Buettner schemed with Trump’s niece, Mary, to disclose his 20-year-old...

President of National Border Patrol Council Brandon Judd warns that once Title 42 is lifted, the cartels are going to have complete control over the southern border. "Once Title 42 goes away and the explosion happens, they're going to control our entire southwest border," Judd said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "When they do that, that's when [the cartels] are going to be able to bring in all of their products such as the fentanyl, the dangerous drugs, the criminal aliens, and the aliens from special interest countries. All of that is...

GREENSBORO, N.C. — North Carolina House representatives will be voting on house bill 189 today pertaining to concealed carry permits. Republican lawmakers advanced legislation yesterday to make it to where anyone would be able to carry a concealed handgun without getting a permit from a local sheriff. This comes barely a month after the Republican-controlled General Assembly agreed with gun-rights groups and repealed — overriding Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper’s veto — another kind of permit issued by sheriffs before someone could buy a pistol. Those groups now are lobbying to eliminate the concealed handgun permit mandate, which has been in...
