[Catholic Caucus] Decade of DecadenceA pastor friend recently launched a postcard campaign to attract more people to his small parish. The photo featured 100 plus smiling faces from his congregation, with a caption that read, “Come Join Us!” On close examination, I noticed a rather comical looking face, which appeared many times in the photo. The pastor had photoshopped 10 faces a dozen times to give the appearance of a larger congregation. The Vatican may want to consider doing some similar photoshopping when it comes to Jorge Bergoglio. The number of those attending weekly papal general audiences or standing in...

The media hacks at Politico changed an outrageous headline characterizing the George Soros-tied Manhattan District Attorney as an apolitical, “by-the-book” prosecutor. Politico conducted a March 20 public relations stunt on behalf of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, who’s reportedly set to indict former President Donald Trump based on a seven-year old case. The Politico headline read: “By-the-book DA confronts unpredictable opponent in Trump.” Politico reporter Erica Orden fawned in her anti-Trump agitprop that Bragg was a “low key, politics-averse prosecutor prepar[ing] to take on the brash, mudslinging former president.” Orden must have forgotten that Bragg made prosecuting Trump a centerpiece of...

The leftist Big Tech giants that waged a political vendetta against Parler when each banned the app from their platforms are now silent on whether or not the communist Chinese government-tied TikTok app should be banned. Given the wave of growing concerns about TikTok, MRC Free Speech America staff reached out to Apple and Google, the two companies that banned the free speech app Parler from their app stores following the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot. Apple later restored Parler back onto its app store in April 2021 and Google followed suit nearly two years after the initial ban in...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

An adorable mixed-breed canine, who is the result of an illicit cross between a French bulldog and a Husky has captured the imagination of pet lovers on social media. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, fifty-three percent of all dogs living in US households are mixed breeds. However, of that fifty-three percent, only a few may be as cute as this French bulldog-husky mix canine named Finn, or "French Bullsky" as his owner calls him.

A team of election experts in New Mexico uncovered an election system that is being used in that state and multiple other states that do not comply with election laws. Election experts in New Mexico established that the post-election canvass reports in all 33 New Mexico Counties are being illegally prepared. Complete election records are being uploaded to an uncertified, centralized software under the control of the Secretary of State (SOS) called SERVIS, which is then used to create the official election results. Use of any uncertified software for this part of the election process is a violation of federal...

Tirien Steinbach, the diversity administrator at Stanford Law School who stoked a disruptive protest of Fifth Circuit appellate judge Kyle Duncan, is "currently on leave," according to a memo on the protest reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. Jenny Martinez, the law school's dean, said in a Wednesday morning memo to all law students that administrators "should not insert themselves into debate with their own criticism of the speaker's views." At future talks, the role of administrators will be to "ensure that university rules on disruption of events will be followed," Martinez said. Martinez gave no additional details on the...

Wednesday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said the prosecutions of former President Donald Trump were working in his favor politically. However, Graham said prosecutors were doing long-term damage to law overall. “So, you get this stupid case in New York, you get a case in Georgia where a giggly Wiccan is running the grand jury, and then you get the document case that’s a wash because Biden’s got a worse off situation,” host Jesse Watters asked. “Where are we with everything, Senator?”

A former Meta recruiter has revealed that she 'did nothing' for the embattled tech company while raking in a $190,000 salary - months before Mark Zuckerberg culled thousands from the workforce. Madelyn Machado took to TikTok to reminisce about her time in Silicon Valley, recalling that the firm's approach to work 'blew my mind' and she 'didn't do s***' during her six-month stint at the company. The recruiter bafflingly claimed that despite her role requiring her to seek out new employees, she was told by her bosses she wasn't even expected to do that. 'We weren’t expected to hire anybody...

Six people were killed Wednesday when a car crashed into a work zone on Interstate 695 in Baltimore County and struck multiple construction workers. The crash near Woodlawn on the Baltimore Beltway left the driver hospitalized, authorities said. It occurred around 12:41 p.m. on the Inner Loop before Exit 17 to Security Boulevard. The driver of a gray Acura entered a work zone, going between temporary Jersey barriers and striking multiple construction workers before the vehicle flipped over onto its back, police said. Maryland State Police said that six people were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the...

If Dashiell Hammett were writing his 1930 classic, “The Maltese Falcon,” today, and John Huston’s 1941 movie adaptation of the same name, Ukraine and its trident coat of arms, likely inspired by a gyrfalcon, would be the object of everyone’s obsession, allegorically speaking. The cast of characters is assembled. Former President Donald Trump, who must control the object d’art. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who would possess it. The beguiling “dame” in the form of porn-star Stormy Daniels, and several would-be Humphrey Bogart leading man-type prosecutors angling to be the first to indict Trump for various alleged crimes. Yet, Trump may...

House Republicans will soon vote on a measure to end the U.S. Department of Education — a proposal supported by Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz. Kentucky GOP Rep. Thomas Massie, who has previously argued for abolishing the department, pinned an amendment to carry out his plan onto an existing education bill now before the House.

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Government Accountability Office has informed Headline USA that it will soon begin reviewing the FBI’s use of “assessments”—a constitutionally dubious practice that allows the bureau to target groups and individuals without evidence of criminal wrongdoing. FBI assessments have come under recent scrutiny in relation to the DOJ’s targeting of parents who hotly protested COVID-19 restrictions and other issues at school board meetings. A report published Tuesday by the House Weaponization Subcommittee revealed that the FBI conducted at least 25 assessments of school board threats—only one of which resulted in a full investigation, and none of...

Every few years, the idea of a flat income tax — with a tax form you could fill out on a postcard — is floated, either in D.C. or in various state houses (though not in the states that are growing massively now because they have no income tax). It would seem to make sense and be fair. No (or very very few) deductions and simple rate (or maybe two or three at the most) for everyone. Do a simple math problem and done — easy-peasy. The concepts are even usually discussed as being cost-neutral — if you pay (net)...

I will summarize the following article from the anti-Trump National Review, titled "A Second Trump Administration Would Be Bonkers":Republicans shouldn’t vote for Trump again because Democrats will act more violently than they did after Trump won the first time. Here it is:If Donald Trump’s Truth Social post about his impending arrest made it feel like our politics was about to reach another level of insanity, just wait. The impending Alvin Bragg prosecution offers a taste of what our national politics will be like post–November 2024 if Donald Trump wins the presidency again. The Left freaked out in 2017, and that was before...

The Patriarchate of Jerusalem, represented by Patriarch Theophilos III, along with the Holy Synod and the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre, the clergy and the faithful, condemns the heinous terrorist attack that took place during the Sunday service, at the hands of two Israeli radicals, which targeted the Church of Gethsemane in Jerusalem, where the Tomb of the Virgin Mary lies. The Patriarchate also denounces the attempt to cause physical harm to Archbishop Joachim, who was leading the service, as well as the attack on one of the priests in the church.

One of the things I often have to remind people about, including lawyers who should know better, is that each state has its own unique laws and procedures. What is no big deal in most places may be a fiasco in another. For Donald Trump, the upcoming New York "falsifying business records" charge he may be facing would be laughed out of court almost everywhere, as no money was stolen and no harm to anyone seems to have been done. Unfortunately for him, he is stuck in the Empire State. And as unfair as it sounds, I think Mr. Trump...

Like the old EF Hutton ads, when Treasury Secretary Janet “Too Low For Too Long” Yellen speaks, people listens. Particularly when she reverses course after bailing out he Silicon Valley/Big Tech buddies by guaranteeing deposits. Then in a US Senate hearing AFTER Fed Chair Powell tried to calm markets, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told Senators yesterday that ‘Blanket insurance’ of bank deposits is not being discussed. Look out below! So why did the Biden Administration and Janet Yellen bail out Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), regulated by San Francisco Federal Reserve (run by Mary Daly)? And then tell the US Senate...
