The Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Tuesday, 07 March 2023 that it had filed a lawsuit seeking to block JetBlue Airways' $3.8-billion purchase of Spirit Airlines. In a 43-page document, the DOJ alleged the merger would reduce competition among U.S. domestic air-carriers and drive up consumer air-fares. Specifically, the department argued the deal would adversely impact low-income and cost-conscious travelers who depend on budget airlines—like Spirit—to provide bargain air-fares. In their complaint, DOJ lawyers wrote: "If the acquisition is approved, JetBlue plans to abandon Spirit’s business model, remove seats from Spirit’s planes, and charge Spirit’s customers higher prices....

Mysterious January 6 figure Ray Epps lied to the January 6 Committee about when he left the Capitol grounds on the day of the riot, Fox News’s Tucker Carlson argued Monday. Carlson, releasing never seen video footage from January 6, 2021, alleged that Epps misled the January 6 Committee in a sworn testimony. Carlson claimed to have Epps’s text messages that he sent to a relative about leaving the Capitol grounds later than he disclosed to the committee.

President Biden’s approval rating hit its highest point since June, rising to 42 percent, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll. Biden’s approval rating improved slightly from February, when it was recorded at 41 percent, and improved significantly from last summer when it was hovering as low as 36 percent, the poll released Wednesday found. The survey also found that 81 percent of Democrats support Biden’s student loan forgiveness program, which the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on last week. Only 29 percent of Republicans approved of the program, the poll found. The poll also found that 84 percent of Republicans...

Podcaster Joe Rogan labeled President Joe Biden as mentally "gone" and said he would vote for former president Donald Trump rather than Biden. During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan spoke with British standup comedian Russell Brand about the Biden administration, noting that officials have been chosen for their identities rather than their experience. Rogan explained why he won't vote for Biden in 2024, labeling the president's Cabinet as a "sideshow of diversity." "I would vote for Trump before I'd vote for Biden. Just 'cause I think with Biden, like, he's gone. Like, you know, he's gone. You're...

President Biden is set to formally propose an array of tax increases on wealthy individuals and corporations in a budget plan that he says will reduce the deficit by $2 trillion over the next decade, setting up a battle royal with Republicans on Capitol Hill. Biden told lawmakers during his State of the Union address last month that his budget will lower the deficit and extend the solvency of the Medicare Trust Fund “by making the wealthy and big corporations begin to pay their fair share.” The White House on Tuesday unveiled a proposal to raise the Medicare surtax on...

VIDEOWho are you going to believe? The second-hand hearsay of the January 6 Committee's star witness Cassidy Hutchinson whose account was CONTRADICTED by the first hand witnesses or your own lyin' eyes viewing some of the over 40,000 hours of J6 video presented by Tucker Carlson? If, as the liberals claim, that video was "selectively edited," then those liberals should ask for access to that video (which they NEGLECTED to do for the past couple of years) and put it in what they claim is the proper context. However, instead of trying to counter the message of what we plainly...

(Daily readings from the USCCB)As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the Twelve disciples aside by themselves, and said to them on the way, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.” Matthew 20:17–19What a conversation that must have been! As Jesus was traveling to Jerusalem with the Twelve just prior to the...

Far-left “Squad” Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) has paid more than $100,000 in campaign money to a former Black Panther who claims he is hundreds of trillions of years old, can teach “psychic self-defense,” and that the Rothschild banking family helped start the COVID-19 pandemic. Nathaniel Davis III, also known as Aha Sen Piankhy, has received around $137,000 from Bush’s campaign since 2020 for “security services,” according to Federal Election Commission filings. The St. Louis-based “spiritual guru” — whose online antics were first reported by the Washington Free Beacon — has claimed on Facebook that he is “109 trillion years old...

Manila apparently ran out of patience. After a decade of suffering China's aggressive acts against Philippine vessels, fishermen and energy exploration efforts in waters within the archipelago country's Exclusive Economic Zone, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recently welcomed an expanded US military presence.Marcos now has responded to continued Chinese belligerence by granting US forces access to five additional military bases on Philippine territory. In a direct rebuke to China, two of these new bases are on Palawan, one of the disputed Spratly Islands, which are also claimed, as is much else, by Communist China.Philippine officials have failed to persuade China to abide by...

In what may be the biggest news regarding the conflict in Ukraine since it began, The New York Times is now reporting that U.S. officials believe a pro-Ukrainian group blew up the Nordstream 2 pipeline. That comes via “new” intelligence that has apparently been kicking around for a while. WASHINGTON — New intelligence reviewed by U.S. officials suggests that a pro-Ukrainian group carried out the attack on the Nord Stream pipelines last year, a step toward determining responsibility for an act of sabotage that has confounded investigators on both sides of the Atlantic for months. U.S. officials said that they...

Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer is calling on the owner of Fox News to prevent network host Tucker Carlson from releasing any more footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol that House Democrats hid from the public for two years. Carlson’s team reviewed more than 40,000 hours of video from that day and on Monday aired previously unseen footage that contradicts numerous falsehoods peddled by Democrat politicos and corporate media. On Tuesday, Schumer melodramatically told reporters that Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch “has a special obligation” to bar Carlson from airing more unedited footage from Jan. 6...

Katy Perry has been accused of being a “mean girl” and “bullying” American Idol contestant Sara Beth Liebe during a recent episode. During the hit ABC reality TV talent competition on Sunday, fans said the 38-year-old “American Idol” judge was rude to the 25-year-old mother of three after Liebe’s revealed her singing expertise was basically the “church choir,” the New York Post reported. “Is this your dream?” Perry asked the contestant, who appeared rattled and simply replied, “Um.” “If it’s not your dream, you might need to leave because there’s a lot of dreams behind you,” Perry added. Liebe admitted...

A rich-kid New Yorker is among the nearly two dozen “violent agitators” charged with domestic terrorism after a protest at the site of a future Atlanta police training facility descended into chaos. Mattia Luini, 30, and his fellow protesters are accused of carrying out Sunday’s “coordinated attack” on the under-construction Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, which saw cops pelted with Molotov cocktails and fireworks. Luini, whose late father, Ivan Luini, helped popularize high-end plastic furniture in the US, was still stuck behind bars as of Tuesday afternoon, online court records showed. His mother, Micaela Martegani, who is involved in the...

The only way to explain the sudden rise in deaths in June/July 2021 that fits the data is the COVID vaccine, AFAIK. There are only two causes that have been suggested: the safe and effective vaccine because people in nursing homes were denied hospital treatment. We can see from the chart that a rapid increase in dementia deaths in June to July exactly coincides with the vax rollout for aged care. Just a coincidence? Pretty unlikely I think. If you have an alternate hypothesis, it would have to fit the June/July timeframe for the biggest effect. Evidence for causality Dementia...

“Freelance journalists in California will either be out of work or face limitations on how much content they can produce,” CNN warned. Independent truckers shut down the Los Angeles-Long Beach port to protest the same disastrous law and are leaving California. The bill known as AB5 which restricts freelance employment so severely that it’s practically a ban on freelance workers has been blamed for contributing to the mass exodus with California unprecedentedly losing population every year that the law has been in effect. But California’s bad ideas rarely stay inside its borders. In 2021, House Democrats under San Francisco’s Pelosi passed the PRO...

The New York Times, that intrepid warrior for anything and everything that the Left is hysterical about, on Friday published a lengthy piece about a source of systemic racism that no one has ever noticed before: It seems that equestrian helmets are racist because they don’t accommodate the dreadlocks that some black horse riders wear. One black rider’s mother lamented: “Mostly everything in this sport isn’t designed for us.” Well, that’s got to change, and these Jackie Robinsons of the Coiffure, with the Times’ generous help, are leading the way to the Equestrian Helmet Justice that our society so desperately...

As the country heads towards a debt ceiling showdown later this summer, a dangerous idea is gaining currency. It is that the U.S. Constitution makes debt default impossible. This idea risks breeding complacency among our politicians about the economic and financial market dangers associated with the debt ceiling standoff that lie ahead. The essence of the idea is that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution unequivocally states that “the validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law . . . shall not be questioned.” If the debt ceiling were breached, so the idea goes, the government...
