In World War II, after Germany had conquered most of Europe, and just after the Fall of France, leaving England alone in Europe to carry on against the Nazis, a cartoon by the artist Low appeared, showing a defiant Englishman shaking his fist at the sky, and underneath was the caption “Very well, then—alone.” This cartoon comes naturally to mind when we consider the threat that a nuclear-armed Iran poses to the world, and the certainty that only one country can be counted on to prevent that threat from being realizing. Tiny Israel is now having its “very well then...

Media acceptance of lab-leak theory is the turning of the COVID ratchetThe mainstream media is attempting to reconstitute its COVID narrative after multiple government agencies confirmed that a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan was the likely origin of the virus. On Sunday, the Wall Street Journal dropped a report based on classified evidence from the Department of Energy revealing that the agency believed the lab-leak hypothesis was the most likely explanation for COVID-19. Even as progressive media outlets like NPR and alleged comedians like Stephen Colbert voiced opposition to government confirmation of a theory of origin that they had already attacked,...

The Black Lives Matter race riots in New York City were among the worst in the country. Racist mobs injured hundreds of police officers, started fires, looted stores and vandalized parks and statues. At least 450 businesses, many of them small and family owned, were damaged or looted by the rioters who claimed to be angry over the drug overdose death of George Floyd: a vicious career criminal who had previously robbed a woman by putting a gun to her stomach. While Black Lives Matter was swimming in hundreds of millions of dollars, funneled to it by radical nonprofits, major corporations...

Alas, as more people become familiar with the tactics of the professionally Republican, what...

This song is a Babylon Bee parody of the song “California Dreaming” by the Mamas and the Papas. Performed by the Bee Boys. Between 2020 and 2021, the once Golden State of California has lost over 300,000 legal residents. *Since 2010, about 7.5 million people moved from California to other states, while only 5.8 million people moved to California from other parts of the country. The only reason the population is not shrinking that much is because of immigration ( legal and illegal )* See here : https://ktla.com/news/california/californias-population-keeps-shrinking/

Yesterday’s inflation report (in the form on skyrocketing labor costs) helped lead Bankrate’s 30-year mortgage rate to over 7% … again. Here is yesterday’s horrible unit labor costs YoY chart showing the fastest growth in labor costs since 1982 and Fed Chair Paul Volcker. Despite even some Democrats criticizing Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's response to the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment, the Washington Post chose to ignore that and focus in on Republicans who are "seizing" (formerly "pouncing") on the accident to attack poor Buttigieg. Reporters Yasmeen Abutaleb, Ian Duncan, and Justine McDaniel acted more as a Buttiegieg defense team than as journalists on Wednesday in "Republicans seize on train derailment to go after Buttigieg."

Pelosi, and Senate Leader Chuck Schumer, refused Trump's offer of additional security that day – and hundreds of people rioted, some breaking into the Capitol to vandalize it and others walking past security guards who held doors open for them and taking selfies in the building. The trigger for the riot...
