Paul often refers to himself as “the prisoner of Christ Jesus.” In Ephesians 4:1, he says being a prisoner of the Lord is actually his vocation, his calling! He considered this God’s gift of grace to him (see Ephesians 4:7). Paul wrote to Timothy: “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God” (2 Timothy 1:8, NKJV). Even into his old age, the apostle rejoiced in having been apprehended by the Lord and taken captive to his...

Back in our early days in the U.S., circa 1964-66, we lived in Wisconsin and traveled to Chicago to visit a Cuban store there. It was a quick drive on I-94 and the sights of Lake Shore Drive and O'Hare Airport were spectacular. My parents always complimented how clean and orderly everything was. I guess that there was something good about Mayor Richard Daley after all. On Tuesday night, Mayor Lightfoot was rejected by the voters. She came in 3rd place and will start packing her bags for a post-political life. My guess is that she'll end up at MSNBC...

It’s the latest and highest-profile attack on the judgement, which many have wrongly suggested gives the LGBT community freedom to get married in Kenya. It appears that DirecTV dubiously dropping Newsmax and One America News within months of each other may be connected to the lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against the two news outlets. AT&T, which holds the majority ownership stake in DirecTV (70 percent), is overseen by its liberal Board Chairman William Kennard, who’s been accused of directly interfering in the decision by DirecTV to drop OAN April 2022. This development happened just under a year after it was reported that Dominion Voting Systems, the voting tech company that was the subject of controversy during the 2020 election, had launched billion-dollar lawsuits...

A few years back, visitors at the Washington DC National Zoo got to witness a live lion hunt, only it wasn’t some pre-planned exhibit for season pass holders… A fawn was walking around Rock Creek Park, which surrounds the zoo, when it decided to be adventurous and check out what was behind one of the many concrete walls. Through a tragic strike of truly awful luck, the fawn just so happened to find itself in the lion’s den… No, not some metaphorical bad place to be, the literal lion’s den, complete with two hungry lionesses. The crowd gathered around to...

Scientists uncovered a hidden nine-meter long corridor near the main entrance to the Great Pyramid of Giza, officials said Thursday. The discovery was made as part of the Scan Pyramid project, which has been using non-invasive technology to study the structure since 2015, Reuters reported. Researchers used a mixture of infrared thermography, 3D simulations and endoscopes to explore inside of the structure, which is assumed to be 4,500-years-old (though the age of the Great Pyramid, and all others, is hotly contested). Mostafa Waziri, who heads Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, said the corridor was presumably created to help redistribute the...
