While most of the recent discussion about Constitutional or permitless carry has centered around Florida (where a permitless carry bill is now queued up and ready for action on the floor of the House once the legislative session officially kicks off next month), the Sunshine State isn’t the only place where lawmakers are considering removing the requirement that legal gun owners obtain a state-issued permission slip before exercising their right to bear arms. A permitless carry bill is awaiting action on the floor of the Nebraska Senate as well, and in South Carolina the House of Representative overwhelmingly voted in...

It is well known that our enemies are astute followers of the Israeli social and political scene. They observe events with a keen eye and not just those relating directly to them, like defense and security issues. They look carefully for perceived weaknesses to exploit. A few days ago, he took the opportunity to embolden his devotees and send a message to Israel. He gleefully cited Israeli officials and former officials who talk of civil war...

Just hours before Boris resigned as the UK’s Prime Minister, a shocking report on deaths by vaccination status was quietly released by the UK Government. People who regularly use laxatives may have more than a 50% increased risk of developing dementia over people who do not use laxatives, according to a study. Researchers also found that people who used only osmotic laxatives, a type of laxative that attracts water to the colon to soften stool, had an even greater risk. Other types of laxatives are bulk-forming, stool-softening, and stimulating. However, the study does not prove that laxatives cause dementia. It only shows an association. Feng Sha, Ph.D.: "Regular laxative use may change the microbiome of the gut, possibly affecting nerve signaling from the gut to...

Laramie resident Lonny Vohland serves as state chairman for Wyoming Ducks Unlimited. He is especially busy this time of year traveling the state to attend fundraising banquets. Our federal government is too big and spends too much money. As a lifetime fiscal conservative, I want to raise our federal taxes and give it even more money. I want our government to take more money because the alternative, future federal bankruptcy, would be much worse. In fiscal year 2022 the feds took $4.9 trillion in revenue and spent $6.3 trillion, a deficit of $1.4 trillion, added to our national debt. My Oct. 22, 2022, column, “Cut federal spending,” described draconian cuts, including eliminating entire cabinet departments, but such major spending cuts would only reduce our deficit by one-third....
