Media, states leaders, and Westerners are perpetually feeding us with their constant and fallacious accusations of Israel, allegedly occupying territories that do not belong to it. In the long run, this litany, hammered out at every opportunity, has been adopted by all those who hunt for a scapegoat for their tribulations… In truth, they all know that it is a lie, that it is not a question of occupied territories, but in a rather particular way the positioning of the heavy load of illegitimacy on the Jews’ backs. And since we are talking about legitimacy, we will simply rush straight to...

James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, is demanding records and a State Department briefing related to the agency bankrolling a "disinformation" tracking group that is blacklisting conservative news outlets. Between 2020 and 2021, the State Department-backed Global Engagement Center and National Endowment for Democracy granted $665,000 combined to the Global Disinformation Index, which is taking steps to shut down disfavored speech. Now, the State Department is being pressed for answers by Comer on this funding, which he has called an...

Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R-MO) has given St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner an ultimatum: resign by noon on Thursday, or be removed from office. There has been nothing but awful news about the unnecessary Covid-related shutdown of American schools. Study after study and a mass of anecdotal evidence show the harm done by the forced lockdowns.Yet more research, released in January, extends the grim scenario. A meta-analysis of 42 studies across 15 countries assessed the magnitude of learning deficits during the pandemic, and finds “a substantial overall learning deficit…which arose early in the pandemic and persists over time. Learning deficits are particularly large among children from low socio-economic backgrounds.”The analysis finds the losses are larger in math than in reading and in middle-income countries...

Her debut book, In Order to Live: A North Korean Girl’s Journey to Freedom (2016), recounted, first, her life in the incomparably vile Hermit Kingdom, where there were no words for tyranny, trauma, depression, or love, and where, for nourishment (and long before Klaus Schwab decreed that it was our common culinary destiny) she captured and ate insects on the way to school; second, her 2007 escape to China, where at thirteen she was a sex slave; and, third, her 2009 flight to South Korea, where she began to learn what it meant to be free.In sum, a remarkable story...

Vivek Ramaswamy, the anti-ESG investment entrepreneur, had hinted that he was contemplating joining the Republican presidential primary fray, so it wasn’t a complete surprise when he announced on Tucker Carlson’s show that he’s decided to run. And why not? Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign showed that Americans were sick of politics as usual, and that particular illness is probably going to be much worse after four years of Biden. The big question, of course, is what Ramaswamy has to offer. I happen to think that he has a lot to offer. Ramaswamy, 37, is a Midwesterner, having been born and raised...

According to White House physician Kevin O’Connor, “President Biden remains a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency,” even though the report came without an assessment of Biden’s mental competence. Without that test, according to Rep. Ronny Jackson, “this exam was a joke.” The former White House physician is on to something. Not so long ago, Joe Biden fell three times while boarding an airplane. The Delaware Democrat is sometimes unaware of his own location and mounts a public search for people who recently died, such as Rep. Jackie Walorski. To proclaim Joe Biden...

It took him 20 days to do it, but Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg finally made an appearance in East Palestine, Ohio, to tour the scene of the Train Derailment disaster. Of course, he did so as early in the morning as he could, surrounded by officials, obviously to avoid crowds of average people who might boo him or ask him difficult questions. He was decked out in his safety gear, too. What a stark contrast to President Trump yesterday. . . .

Legal pot sales in California shrank last year, falling 8% compared with 2021. This is the first time cannabis revenue has dropped since the sale of cannabis became legal in 2018. Customers purchased $5.3 billion worth of legal pot products in 2022, according to data released Wednesday by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. That represents an 8% drop, or a decrease of $473 million, from what customers purchased in 2021. The falling sales come as the legal cannabis industry faces multiple headwinds, including competition from a booming illegal market, crashing wholesale prices and yearslong licensing delays. Hirsh...

When Morrill High School (Nebraska) coach April Ott broke the news to Katrina Kohel that she was the only one left on the cheer squad, she promised her that even if she couldn’t compete at the state tournament, they could still enjoy the whole experience. They’d get fun coffee drinks, watch the more than 2,700 girls and 225 teams compete in the three-day cheer and dance competition in Grand Island and just have a good time. But Kohel, the lone senior on what had been a squad of four, had other ideas. After talking it over with her mom, Della,...

As I perused a list of rules the British Royal Family must follow, one rule in particular jumped out at me. The Royals cannot express any political opinions. They cannot vote. They can't even speak publicly about politics or run for political office of any kind. With companies around the country increasingly perpetuating political stances, I thought of how appropriate it would be for companies to take a similar stance to the Royals, by not taking political sides. A political side we see being heavily pushed at companies is neither Democrat nor Republican, but rather Marxist. The teachings by Frankfurt...

At about 1am on February 24 last year, Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, received a troubling phone call. After spending months building up a more than 100,000-strong invasion force on the border with Ukraine, Vladimir Putin had given the go-ahead to invade. The decision caught Lavrov completely by surprise. Just days earlier, the Russian president had polled his security council for their opinions on recognizing two separatist statelets in the Donbas, an industrial border region in Ukraine, at an excruciatingly awkward televised session — but had left them none the wiser about his true intentions. (snip) Later that day, several...

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Thursday) welcomed the authorization for Israeli planes to fly over Oman. "The Far East is not so far away and the skies are no longer the limit. This is a day of great news for Israeli aviation. Israel has, in effect, become the main transit point between Asia and Europe," Netanyahu said. "We have worked to open the airspace, first over Saudi Arabia, and from 2018 when I visited Oman, to add Oman as well so that we can fly directly to India and on to Australia. This was achieved today, after considerable effort, including...
