Media, states leaders, and Westerners are perpetually feeding us with their constant and fallacious accusations of Israel, allegedly occupying territories that do not belong to it. In the long run, this litany, hammered out at every opportunity, has been adopted by all those who hunt for a scapegoat for their tribulations… In truth, they all know that it is a lie, that it is not a question of occupied territories, but in a rather particular way the positioning of the heavy load of illegitimacy on the Jews’ backs.
And since we are talking about legitimacy, we will simply rush straight to the legitimacy of all those countries that are eternally blaming Israel, in which case occasionally turns as the donkey of Lafontaine’s illustrious fable “The Animals Sick of the Plague.”
We are going to develop an excerpt from my study: “The Origin of the Jewish People out of the Biblical Context”:
“People, like states, are born and die. People are invented – yes, they are created. I think it’s worth watching a few examples to understand better.
The American nation is a recent phenomenon. It was created and invented at the end of the 18th century when New England English settlers rose victoriously against the tutelary power of their mother country: Great Britain.
But before becoming a people and forming a state, what were these settlers? All those who ventured out and settled in America waged a terrible war against the Indians – the original inhabitants of this region – defeated and subjugated them… In principle, the USA is an occupied land… Should they give it back to the Indians who lived there before the settlers arrived?
Mexico’s peoples, Colombia’s, Costa Rica’s, Venezuela’s, etc., are even younger: They date back to the beginning of the 19th century when Simon Bolivar initiated the fight, also victorious, of the Spanish colonists against the sovereignty of the King of Spain. The same story is repeated everywhere. Settlers from Spain, Portugal, and Europe in a word… fought the original occupants of these countries, subdued them, and even converted them to Christianity… together they formed these countries. Shouldn’t these settlers return these forcibly conquered lands to their original inhabitants? No one dares point a finger at them.
The presumed Palestinian people are much more recent: Until 1948, when the State of Israel was rehabilitated, they were simply part of the Arab people. And they too won it thanks to the bloodshed, and, above all, to the unfailing support of the Arab-Muslim world. One can obviously find this fight just and legitimate. But, this is obviously not enough. The so-called Palestinians are also settlers from Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and all the neighboring countries who came to earn their bread… All were Arabs.
Do you know the Biafran people? No. Because indeed, there are no Biafran people! However, at the end of the 1960s, there was a state of Biafra, resulting from secession from Nigeria. Everything came together for the birth of a state and a people: an ethnic group (the Ibos), a language, and a common religion (they were Christians). The Biafra war lasted more than a year. It was atrocious (1 million dead), and ended in the disappearance of the Biafra state. Was it just, was it legitimate?
Do you know the Kurdish people? Yes. 15 million men and women perfectly-identified and united (common religion, tradition, language) and, by the way, much more numerous than the Palestinians. Will there ever be a Kurdish state? No. This would require taking parts of the Kurdish regions of Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey. The Arab-Muslim world refuses to do so, and yet the Kurds have also paid the blood price, but without winning. Is this fair, is this legitimate?
And is the creation of the State of Israel just and legitimate? Unlike the Arabs, the Jews, who have been praying for more than 2,000 years to never forget Jerusalem, believe so. But what would have happened to this justice and legitimacy if, in 1948, and later, on several occasions, the Jewish army had not triumphed over the Arab armies? Finally, come to think of it, there are useful provocations. Justice is blindfolded. Its sword is as blind as it is! And it is always the one who decides…. “
I don’t even dare to think what would have happened to those Jewish fugitives from Europe and from Arab countries.
But before all that, is there in this world, a people who occupy their country of origin? There are none! All of them have been invaded, conquered, subjugated… and replaced… at the present time, this is still going on in the majority of Western countries.
So why should Israel, which has lived on this piece of land more than 5000 years ago, returns and seizes it – in fact snatches it from the hands of the usurpers who call themselves Palestinians, and be perpetually accused of occupying territories that do not belong to it?
All those invaders and settlers who to this day occupy countries that don’t belong to them should also sit in the dock, but not Israel.
Israel has only taken back what is rightfully his.
Therese Zrihen-Dvir is an Israeli-Canadian citizen who was born in Morocco and now lives in Israel. She has published over 20 books in 3 languages French, English and Hebrew, and speaks five languages.
“in fact snatches it from the hands of the usurpers who call themselves Palestinians”
at least the author admits that they took it from other people.
Actually yes, they do.
And yes they are building policies based on that.
I agree with his premises but this is not the foundation to build it on.
The people in Northern Ireland are descendants of people invited in to that area by what were the then rulers, they have lived there a thousand years, intermarried with the local population and they are still getting blown up by communists who proclaim "Ireland for the Irish!"
The term ‘occupied territories’ is a term of art that’s used when invaders want to justify violence for the achievement of their goals. I am here, they want to be here. Therefore I am in occupied territory. We might well remember this when referring to the innocence of the ‘occupy’ movement. Their desire to justify violence in the achievement of their goals.
I just read where the Canadian government is considering charging its citizens “rent” to live on “First Nations’ Land” - i.e., ALL of Canada.
The planet is God’s creation so obviously, it is His land. With respect to the Jews, the Biblical record is that God promised the Jews, Isreal (the promised land). The rest of the planet is up for grabs. What’s become obvious to me is that governments view themselves as separate entities from those they govern and so they lay claim to all the land within their respective territories. How this actually came about I don’t have a clue. You may think you own your real property, but your state thinks otherwise.
Bttt.

Palestinians were kicked out of Jordan. They never were part of Israel.
Those strong enough to keep it!
Good question you could ask anyone... Especially in states that collect property taxes.
