The days of “an honest wage for a day’s work” are long gone. In addition to having to work harder while inflation eats up their pay increases, employees are now forced to monitor their behavior and even their own thoughts in order to keep their jobs. Freedom of speech and expression are gone -- even when you’re not at work. Corporations are caving to pressure from liberal groups and government bureaucracies and establishing policies to silence all forms of conservative thought and speech in order to advance the liberal agenda. The January US inflation numbers are out and they were grim. US REAL average hourly earnings fell … again … to -1.8% year-over-year (YoY) from a revised -1.6% YoY in Deember. That makes 22 straight months of negative hourly earning growth. CPI Month-over-month (MoM) was revised upward for December, and increased from 0.1% in December to 0.5% in January. CORE CPI remained unchanged from the upward revision in December to 0.4% MoM. Components of inflation include FOOD AT HOME (up 11.3% YoY), utility (piped) gas service (up 26.7% YoY) and shelter (up 7.9% YoY). So, the middle-class inflation tax (food,...

"As recently as Friday, Thompson told NJ PBS "it is my anticipation" he'll once again back Trump for president in 2024. So, Thompson — 87 years old and who the NJ Globe described as a "conservative" Republican — announced he will switch parties and seek re-election to a fifth term as a Democrat. Thompson was a Trump delegate twice, in 2016 and 2020. NJ Globe reported that NJ Republicans leaders urged Henry to step down and retire, so Henry could run."

Former chair Demi Kouzounas was ousted during a closed-door meeting over the weekend. “This is a new day for Maine Republicans,” Stetkis, of Canaan, said in a statement. “Electing waves of Republicans at the local level and growing our party with an eye to the future begins now.” Stetkis, who represented House District 105 from 2014 to 2022, won with 83 votes to 57 for Kouzounas. Eighteen months after an insurgent “MAGA” movement took over the Greenville County Republican Party, the South Carolina GOP headquarters that’s at odds with the group is planning to seize control of the county party’s upcoming local organizational efforts. State party Executive Director Hope Walker said the move is rooted in concerns that the leadership of the county party has alienated mainline Republican voters who state leaders want to attract as they look to the 2024 election cycle. Jeff Davis, chairman of the Greenville GOP, called the state’s intervention a “tyrannical” power grab using dirty tricks to find any justification to...

Ubangi is the name of a river in central Africa. In the Oxford handbook of African languages, based upon the typological resemblances with the Kwa-Kru languages, the author saw a relationship with the name/word to the Nigritic section of the Sudan languages. Ubangi is also the name of African peoples living in the Republic of the Congo in the Congo River Basin west of Mossaka. Ubangi is also an old slang word people from Wyoming called people from Utah, implying people from Utah slept with sheep. I take the time to make these tutorial distinctions, because W.C. Fields used the...

Hot, cold, wet, dry, sunny, clear, snow, no snow – it doesn’t matter, it’s caused by global warming, the climate alarmists tell us over and again. Their desperation is palpable, the cords that keep them tethered to reality fraying more than ever, their charade coming apart. For more than 30 years, the crisis peddlers have carried the narrative that man’s carbon dioxide emissions are creating an existential threat. They’ve cajoled, bullied, lied, deceived, screeched and burned an immense volume of fossil fuels to get their hard-left agenda codified and executive ordered, and they have some successes to refer to. But...

Your tongue is the only muscle in your body that is attached at only one end. The tooth is the only part of the human body that cannot heal itself. As I write this Super Bowl LVII is tied in the first quarter. I am not here to discuss the game. I am here to discuss the “Black National Anthem”. Or rather that we CAN only have one National Anthem and that ain’t it. Don’t get me wrong “Lift Every Voice and Sing” is a Beautiful piece of music. Our Nina wrote about the history of the song two years ago. The lyrics are beautiful... It is a beautiful piece but it is NOT our National Anthem. Newsweek was distraught that Representative Lauren Boebert pointed this out: Boebert became the...
