  • The Case for Admissions Selectivity. Let’s remind colleges what they’re supposed to care about.

For how many years have elite colleges been playing a double game of inclusivity/selectivity? Some years back, Yale President Peter Salovey had an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal affirming the high regard the school placed on inclusion and the opening of Yale to voices of all responsible kinds. A variant of the beloved word appeared seven times in the short discussion. None of it was true, of course; too much inclusion means a loss of prestige. For all the egalitarian talk on campus, the happy photos of smiling diverse faces in marketing materials, and the pledges of sensitivity and...

Isn’t the FBI’s reputation with much of the public already far enough in the toilet without tossing something like this onto the bonfire? A recently leaked internal FBI memo from their Richmond office warned agents about the lurking danger of “radical traditionalist Catholic ideology” (RTC ideology). The document spoke of “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism,” suggesting that anyone who prefers to attend traditional Latin mass is somehow prone to racism or xenophobia and violence or whatever. Oh, and they allegedly also tend to be anti-Semites, so they’re probably out there attacking synagogues. Honestly… you just can’t make this stuff...

As racial justice protests broke out nationwide in the summer of 2020, a man driving a silver hearse became a regular at the demonstrations in Denver. He was a paunchy 5-foot-7 with a ruddy complexion and wore military fatigues with patches on the sleeves. By activist standards, he was an old timer: pushing 50 as he sawggered through crowds of teens and 20-something protesters, a cigar clamped in his lips. "I didn't know much about him, but he drove a hearse," said Zebbodios "Zebb" Hall, a Black activist in Denver. "Inside this hearse was a lot of guns: AR-15s and...

North America’s largest Catholic parish church – St. Charles Borromeo with seating for 3,200 souls – was officially dedicated Thursday (Feb. 2) in front of a packed house that included bishops from throughout California. The $21 million church in west Visalia may be sparkling new with its 48-by-53-foot mural on the wall behind the altar, dome murals and California mission style exterior but it has already garnered attention nationally. St. Charles Borromeo, the new parish church of The Good Shepherd Catholic Parish in Visalia, is a template for the Catholic Church as it consolidates smaller and struggling parishes into one...

Hoping the Democrats will be honest for once is a pipe dream. For decades, the public has been warned about the existential threat of global warming and climate change based on computer models. An outlet out last year even reported on an admission from scientists that models weren’t accurate because they didn’t accurately model clouds — the article was aptly titled “Scientists Conclude Dire Climate Change Models Were Wrong, Now What?” The public has been told that Earth has warmed one to two degrees in the last 150 years. Yet, this article asserts the “experts” overestimated the temperature of the...

How boring. And stupid.Lucasfilm has added another retcon to the Star Wars saga, and it is almost as bad and stupid as George Lucas changing the fact that Han Solo shot first in the Tatooine tavern.Luke Skywalker is gay. Canonically, as they say–means that Disney has officially endorsed the claim that the iconic character is gay.In 1977 this would have been a stunning and brave revelation. Today it is dull and silly. A concession to the nutty idea that films should have “representation” for every variation of the human experience. The idea has been floating out there for a while, but...
  • Brett Favre sues Shannon Sharpe, Pat McAfee for alleged defamation over Mississippi welfare case

After years of criticism over an ongoing welfare scandal, Brett Favre filed defamation lawsuits Thursday against Mississippi state auditor Shad White, Fox Sports commentator Shannon Sharpe and popular radio host Pat McAfee, according to documents acquired by Mississippi Today. Favre's legal team alleges the trio's claims that Favre stole money from poor people to be "malicious lies" and to have tainted the Green

Who is in your potential dating pool? That was the question asked in a recent study, and the choices included a variety of gender “identities,” including cisgender woman, transgender man, and someone who is non-binary. Unsurprisingly, 87.5% of individuals only chose either cisgender man or cisgender woman (translation: man or woman!). And one of the study’s authors, writing for Psychology Today, is upset about these “societal prejudices.”

When news broke on Wednesday evening that Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) had been rushed to the hospital and was being kept “overnight” for observation, I wasn’t sure how to respond. For months on end, some of us in the conservative commentariat begged and pleaded with Pennsylvanians and the national press to take Fetterman’s health issues seriously. After all, this was a man who had a major stroke just months prior to the campaign and was essentially unintelligible in the only debate he attended. We were ignored.Oz: "Fetterman didn't pay for his own house. He got it for a dollar from his sister."Fetterman:...

Leading Anglican body warns that the historic vote has ‘triggered a widespread loss of confidence’ in Justin WelbyThe Church of England is to be ostracised by the body that represents the majority of Anglicans after it backed blessings for gay couples. For the first time in its history, General Synod, the Church of England’s legislative body, voted on Thursday for vicars to be allowed to give same-sex couples, including those in civil marriages, prayers of blessing. On Thursday night, the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (GSFA), which claims to represent 75 per cent of Anglicans worldwide, warned the result...

The long-term consequences of Covid-19 vaccination are now being realised… A year ago, doubly vaccinated Australians were 10.72x more likely to catch Omicron than the unvaxxed. Now they are 20x more likely and the triply or more vaxxed are 35x more likely, as the latest NSW Health stats show (see below). Meanwhile, the latest Cleveland Clinic Data and the latest US data analysed by Josh Stirling, founder of Insurance Collaboration to Save Livess and former #1 ranked Insurance Analyst, shows a really really disturbing trend. The damage to health caused by each vaccine dose does not lessen over time. It...

Green laser scan, 1-28-23 (Credit: Subaru-Asahi Star Camera/YouTube) I’m not entirely sure where to begin with this one. First, in all the kerfuffle over China’s wandering weather spy balloon which, coincidentally (or not), initially entered US airspace on January 28th, I (we?) missed out on the news that on that same date, bright green lasers shot over the night sky in Hawaii. No, really. Initially, the lasers were thought to have come from a NASA spacecraft:A camera attached to a telescope on Hawaii’s tallest peak recently captured footage of a series of eerie, bright green lines that shot across...

I suspect that most of those who allowed themselves to be tricked into accepting the covid-19 jab now wish that they had ignored governments, advisors, media doctors and celebrities. This is the script of my video which appeared in December 2021. The video can still be seen HERE. It was, inevitably, treated with scorn at the time. I invite the sceptics and 12-year-old ‘fact-checkers’ to take a look and see if they can find anything with which they now disagree. (snip) We all know that the short-term risks for those accepting the covid-19 jabs are horrific – worse than the...

As is well known, big-hearted Pope Francis doesn’t take sides in the Israel-Palestinian conflict. As far as he is concerned, both sides are equally guilty of unleashing violence against the other; both deserve to be chastised and their respective acts of violence equally deplored. But of course there is no moral equivalence between Palestinian terror groups, that plot to stab, shoot, and blow up with rockets innocent civilians, and the IDF, that seeks to defend the people of Israel by punishing and preventing such attacks. (snip) Note the order of things. The Pope first expressed his sorrow about the “dozens...

We must be Bereans. Who were the Bereans? Acts 17:10-11 KJV – “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” You see? We must search the Scriptures… Do you know what the Tribulation is all about? The Day of the Lord has three layers. God’s dealing with Satan and his demons, God’s dealing with the nations,...

This is art, not a music video. You won't hear it on the radio. I've never really seen anything like this, especially from a single artist. It is music, acting, singing, directing, and live performance all wrapped into a video - like a one man live musical. I can't speak to this kind of talent, what did I just watch? LANGUAGE WARNING!
