Over the past decade or so, many folks on the broad Right have noticed that practically all of our institutions don’t really work as they should. The natural tendency on the part of normie conservatives is to chalk this up to incompetence and corruption. Granted, those do come into play - and will continue to do so increasingly. Yet structurally speaking, our institutional dysfunctionality runs a lot deeper than a little graft or some skimming off the top. Our institutional failures are both purposeful and towards a specific end. Normies can perhaps be forgiven for not immediately coming to this...

Reading the mainstream media’s reaction to today’s payrolls report, one would be left with the impression that it was generally on the goldilocks side and indicative of a possible soft-landing – consider this from Bloomberg: “the US labor market stayed resilient last month while wage gains cooled, raising hopes that the economy may dodge a recession and the Federal Reserve will further slow its aggressive campaign of interest-rate hikes.”.. Which is accurate: wage growth indeed slowed down following a major revision to the data (remember that 0.6% M/M jump in average hourly earnings that freaked out the market last month?...

Maxine Waters flips out on the House floor. (Credit: C-Span.) There have been some positive aspects of this fight over the Speaker of the House. It’s shown us who is willing to fight for rules that are more favorable for the members to fight for their constituents as opposed to just shoving bills through without any thought or discussion. We’ve seen Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) hold that banner high, as well as some of the other 20 who are fighting for that cause. That’s an important thing to fight for, to bring some sanity back to the decision-making. Rep. Matt...

Heavy rain, powerful winds and over 30-foot waves battered Capitola overnight and into Thursday afternoon, wreaking havoc to coastal businesses. "We have sustained some significant damage on the Capitola Wharf, so we're declaring a state of emergency," Mayor Margaux Keiser said Wednesday afternoon. About 350 people were given evacuation orders in Capitola Village—the city's main tourist destination filled with shops and restaurants—and a neighborhood along the Soquel Creek, where the water level shot up above ten feet, beyond what city officials predicted. "Where we would have expected it with this high tide is probably around six feet, yet we were...

The AI will run on a smartphone, listening in to the proceedings of the courtroom before instructing the defendant on what to say via an earpiece as reported by the New Scientist. The location of the court and the name of the defendant are being kept under wraps at the moment. In case...

On the eve of Pope Benedict XVI’s burial, Piero Laporta, a retired Italian brigadier general, published a stunning piece on his own blog. This Catholic author, who previously lobbied to have Benedict participate (and influence) the controversial Synod on the Family some eight years ago, is now revealing that in the first weeks after the election of Joseph Ratzinger to the papal throne in 2005, an official of the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) “was bragging about the resignation to which H.H. Benedict XVI of revered memory would soon be forced.”If this story is true, however, “soon” would have to mean...

You’d almost think, based on the media coverage in Boston, that the Messiah had showed up in the Massachusetts State House to be inaugurated as governor, not Maura Healey. Despite the inability of Supreme Court Justice Brown Jackson to be sure what a woman is, the media are trumpeting the “Historic Day” and just can’t stop congratulating Bay State voters on their wisdom in electing her, with extra special bonus points for her being a lesbian. These screengrabs from WBZ-TV, CBS Boston complete with "Historic Day" plastered over the video and smug grins from the talking heads express the masturbatory...

In late May of 2021, the Illinois General Assembly jammed through SB 818, a bill to require so-called “comprehensive sex-education” to be taught in public schools, starting in kindergarten through 12th grade. It was signed by Governor JB Pritzker and became law on August 20, 2021, despite the hue and cry of parents and grandparents throughout the state. Public schools that taught health and safety classes would have to now teach left-wing sexuality classes to our impressionable young students. Because 70 percent of school districts have opted out of these new (destructive) standards, State Senator Ram Villivalam (D-Chicago) has filed...

Steve Bannon, President Trump’s former Chief Strategist, wholeheartedly supports the 20 Never-Kevins in their pursuit to elect a Speaker who represents all Republicans in the House and the Trump-supporting base of voters. For years now Republicans in Congress and the US Senate have brazenly ignored and mocked their voters by their refusal to stand on principle and fight the toxic left in America today.

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott thanked a long list of people for going above and beyond since safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field Monday night in Cincinnati, but he had one very important shout-out at the end of the list. “Finally and just as important as anything is glory to God for his keeping Damar and his family in the palm of his hand over the last couple of days and his healing powers,” McDermott said during a Thursday news conference. “The amount of faith, hope and love that we saw on display over the...
