A federal judge in California denied a request by Oakland landlords to stop the city eviction moratorium. One of the reasons was because the moratorium is supposedly temporary, but after nearly 3 years it’s hard to believe that to be the case.

FALMOUTH; Va., Wednesday, Nov. 26. It is expected the railroad will be finished to-morrow from Aquia Creek to the Rappahannock, opposite Fredericksburgh. The bridge over Potomac Creek was reported this morning as nearly completed. The cars carry supplies as far as Brook's Station, six miles from Aquia Creek, which greatly accommodates our troops. Notwithstanding the late bad condition of the roads, Quartermaster's supplies have been promptly furnished. Long lines of roads have been corduroyed under direction of Col. INGALL, Chief Quartermaster of the army, and are in good condition. The camp-fires of the enemy are constantly increasing within sight of...

The culture of death on display about us mass murder does the location really matter or even who the perps are other than to say they are drunk, drugged and living in a fantasy world. What do the established forces of "Artificial Intelligence" or "Artificial Morality" on my MSN homepage offer?... And the ultimate "Live Performance Art" of Nazi Germany with the industrial scale snuff pornography of the Holocaust. The legacy of the Holocaust Oh Lord Robert Maxwell (he lost his family) would end up having a daughter Ghislaine... Now this guy's name was Andre but there's something of Adolf...

The FBI announced that it will be investigating the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh but was silent when an American was injured in a bombing. By Stephen M. Flatow November 27, 2022 The Biden administration’s Justice Department recently announced that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the accidental death of an Arab-American journalist in Israel. So why isn’t it investigating this week’s intentional attempted murder of a Jewish American citizen in Israel? Shireen Abu Akleh, a reporter for the Qatari media agency Al Jazeera, was accidentally shot and killed while covering a shooting attack by Palestinian Arab terrorists...

Once the government can control all money in America with the push of a button, anything approaching liberty is dead on arrival. When I first saw the acronym “CBDC,” I may have betrayed my California roots when I thought it was some new cannabis product that will join all the other CBD products sold everywhere, including at truck stops. I’m not so naïve now, and I know that CBDC, which stands for Central Bank Digital Currency, is possibly the most dangerous idea ever bandied about in American politics. The plan is that the federal government would end paper and coin...

... KAI's factory is adjacent to Sacheon Airport, which is used for military and civilian purposes. Since summer, the company has been using the airport to stage test flights for prototypes of the KF-21, South Korea's first homegrown fighter. Mass production is due to start 2026. The KF-21, developed in conjunction with Indonesia, is billed as a 4.5 generation fighter, meaning its capabilities fall between fourth-generation fighters -- the mainstream type in service globally -- and cutting-edge fifth-generation fighters. KAI is responsible for assembling the fighter, collecting data from test flights, and improving designs of the KF-21. South Korea's air...

Video Chicago, Illinois' Mayor Lori Lightfoot is facing scrutiny after a social media post on twitter regarding what happened in Colorado Springs, while seemingly denying that Chicago, IL is facing worse issues. But this goes along with how Chi town has been facing the same issues for awhile, but the voting patterns seem to be unchanged.

Elon sneezes, and the Left catches pneumonia. In between watching the scandalous FTX crypto scam unfold and making all the Thanksgiving fixings, I’ve joined Twitter, which I’ve refused to participate in for years. One reason for my about-face on the social media site is that Elon Musk, the new owner, is creating a genuine open forum and he’s actively participating as a commentator in the most amusing way. I prefer the Facebook technical setup but despise the way it (like the former Jack Dorsey-run Twitter) uses it to stifle real debate, regularly in one way or another blocking other than...

The position of lady-in-waiting has been scrapped at Buckingham Palace, bringing to an end a centuries-old tradition. Combining the roles of companion, adviser and secretary, ladies-in-waiting played a key part in Royal life, accompanying the late Queen and her sister Princess Margaret on official duties and foreign tours. But in a sign of the new Queen Consort Camilla’s unfussy approach, they will be replaced by six aides styled ‘Queen’s Companions’.

I did some analysis on the Federal Reserve and it looks like a Fair Value on their Net Worth is now considerably less than NEGATIVE 1 trillion US dollars. This means that if there was a "run on the bank" with them like happened to Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, FTX, and many other entities throughout history then they'd come up over 1 trillion short in meeting their obligations. If my math is off then please provide your numbers along with justifications so it can be fairly scrutinized.

On July 20th, 2006, Tom Tilley of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada was on a canoeing trip with his dog, Sam. A predatory black bear stalked them during a portage. Sam, an American Staffordshire, warned his owner Tom of the bear’s presence. As the bear closed in, Tom’s dog Sam interposed himself between the bear and Tom. When the bear attacked Sam, Tom leaped on the bear’s back, Tarzan style, and killed the bear, using a hunting knife with a six-inch blade.Wawa is a township not far from Lake Superior, about 400 miles North and West of Waterloo. It is about a...

A statue of young Abraham Lincoln has been splashed with red paint with the words 'COLONIZER' and 'LAND BACK' written below it in Chicago. The statue, which has stood in the Edgewater neighborhood since it was donated to Senn Park in 1997, also had the words 'Dakota 38' written on it. Dakota 38 refers to Lincoln's ordered execution of 38 Sioux, who were publicly hanged for participating in the Sioux Uprising in the US-Dakota War of 1862 in Minnesota.

Church worshippers cried 'heresy' at the Dean of Trinity College as they left a sermon claiming Jesus may have been transgender 'in tears'. But the view of a transgender Jesus is 'legitimate', according to Dr Michael Banner, the Dean who stepped in to defend the claim made at a Sermon last Sunday that Christ had a 'trans body'. Dr Michael Banner, the Dean of Trinity College, was backing up junior research fellow Joshua Heath, who displayed Renaissance and Medieval paintings of the crucifixion depicting a side wound that he likened to a vagina in front of the congregation.

A train from Los Angeles pulled into Cleveland with some $355,000 worth of items missing, according to a federal lawsuit. A Hong Kong company, Orient Overseas Container Line, filed the lawsuit last month in federal court in Cleveland, saying the merchandise was pilfered from a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway train somewhere in California. The company accused the railroad company of negligence and breach of contract. Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer reached out to Burlington Northern Santa Fe officials for comment. Los Angeles has recently seen a barrage of theft from trains. Union and Pacific Railways estimated in January that...

@SenMarkey .@elonmusk could respond to my tweets but failed to respond to my letter by yesterday’s deadline and answer basic questions about Twitter verification. Congress must end the era of failed Big Tech self-regulation and pass laws that put user safety over the whims of billionaires.

The first weeks of Advent focus more on the Lord’s second coming in glory than on His first coming at Bethlehem. The gospel clearly states that we must always be prepared, for at an hour we do not expect, the Son of Man will come. “Ready” is the key word, but how should we be ready? The second reading from today’s Mass (Romans 13:11-14) gives us a basic recipe for readiness. We can distinguish five fundamental instructions in Paul’s recipe.Wake up – The text says, … you know the time; it is the hour now for you to awake from...

**SNIP** The laptop has been a source of significant reporting about Hunter Biden’s personal and business life, but many news organizations have treated its contents with trepidation because it emerged late in the 2020 presidential campaign and, at the time, they were unable to verify its authenticity. **SNIP** At several points Comer referenced a deal Hunter Biden tried to strike with CEFC China Energy, an energy conglomerate. Many aspects of his financial arrangements have been examined by news organizations, including The Washington Post. But at a news conference, Comer made assertions that have not been proved, are in dispute or...
