A federal judge in California denied a request by Oakland landlords to stop the city eviction moratorium. One of the reasons was because the moratorium is supposedly temporary, but after nearly 3 years it’s hard to believe that to be the case.

I suggest a “temporary” suspension of court funding and fees.

If the court won’t define temporary then by definition its not temporary. Seems to me you get to an unconstitutional taking pretty quickly.

The ruling is so extreme that the Supreme Court would feel compelled to overrule it.

It’s not a moratorium. It’s illegally attempting to change the terms of a valid contract in favor on one party and not the other.

This is non sensical lawlessness. The law now is what anyone wants say it is. These involve property and contracts, plain and simple.

An exampe of government targeting people to loot/rob... in this case landlords.

The ultimate solution will be to quit lamdlording where freeloading apes and neo-commies live... theh laugh at them when they’re living in the streets.

There is the unspoken matter of the theft of the utility value of the unpaid rent.

At the rate our laws are being unraveled we will be under anarchy in less than five years. Hence the move to ban guns.

This sort of crap is what causes people to take matters into their own hands. It’s coming.

I can’t see how anyone would be surprised by this. During the early days of the COVID fiasco, one of the most disturbing things to me was the number of people right here on this website who were such compliant babies that they were willing to surrender their freedom and liberties “temporarily” — and scold other Freepers who disagreed with them — just because they were such gullible fools.

After digging a little:

Judge Laurel Beeler:

taught Civil Trial Practice at the University of California Berkeley School of Law.

On September 20, 2020, Judge Beeler granted a motion for an injunction temporarily halting President Trump’s Executive Order banning the operation of Chinese social media application WeChat,

I know...a real shocker right?

Until these Demonicrat judges are tried, convicted, and sentenced to publicly hang for giving aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States, nothing will change.

I was just now speculating this must be an Obama Judge to be so willfully blind and unsympathetic to the property owners.

It sounds like the judge ought to have his paychecks stopped — temporarily, of course, so it will be constitutional.

This is a communist ruling. It takes from owners of property and gives to tenants who do not own the property.

The property owners still have obligations on the property. Real estate taxes, insurance, mortgages must still be paid. Without income from the properties, it will cause undue burden.
They don’t care imo.

If this was legal for a day, it is legal every day. It isn’t legal and this ‘judge’ should be forced to vacate the office.
