Former President Donald Trump blasted Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Wednesday, even going so far as to predict he won't win reelection. Trump took to Truth Social to renew his endorsement of Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and call out Romney for not doing the same. "Mitt Romney is the junior senator from the Great State of Utah, which I won twice in a landslide, once by beating the candidate Evan 'McMuffin' McMullin who is currently running against Senator Lee," Trump wrote. "McMuffin does not represent the values of Utah, but neither, as you will see in two years, does Mitt...

Manson, she warned. SNIP One such tidbit takes us back to the Hollywood Hills of the 1960s, when Charles Manson was recruiting kids of the famous and well-to-do into what would become his infamous murder cult. Manson wooed, or attempted to woo, the likes of Terry Melcher, the son of Doris Day, Deana Martin, daughter of Dean Martin, and Lansbury's kids, Anthony and Deidre Shaw. Dame Lansbury recounted how Diedre in particular fell under Manson's sway and how she plucked both her kids out of Hollywood and absconded to Ireland in a 2014 interview with Mail Online. "It started with...

While all this is true, Columbus stands for and is a reminder of something else that is now little known if not completely (and intentionally) forgotten: he was, first and foremost, a Crusader — an avowed enemy of the jihad. His expeditions were, first and foremost, about circumventing and ultimately retaliating against the Islamic sultanates surrounding and terrorizing Europe — not just “finding spices” as we were taught in high school. … Many Europeans were convinced that if only they could reach the peoples east of Islam — who if not Christian were at least “not as yet infected by...

Los Angeles mayoral candidate Rick Caruso insisted he's not white, but really Italian — and thus "Latin" — during an awkward debate moment Tuesday in the nation's second-largest city. In bringing up the ongoing scandal, Telemundo anchor Dunia Elvir stated: “The next mayor of Los Angeles will be either an African-American woman or a white man." “I’m Italian,” Caruso interjected. Elvir responded, “Italian American," as Caruso insisted that his racial identification be stated on his terms. “That’s Latin, thank you,” Caruso said.

Last May, Charlotte, 31, and her husband packed up their one-bedroom apartment on Christopher Street after learning the rent would likely skyrocket from $5,000 per month to $7,000. The couple loved living in the West Village, but homeownership was out of reach, even with her job in finance and him being in tech. They were both working from home, so they could live anywhere. It was time, they decided, to leave New York. “We considered Bronxville, and surrounding neighborhoods [in Westchester], but for what we wanted we would have had to spend well over $1.8 [million],” Charlotte, who makes more...

Los Angeles Councilmember Nury Martinez announced she resigned from her seat “with a broken heart” Wednesday after she was caught on an audio recording hurling racist remarks. Martinez faced immense blowback after a recording was leaked over the weekend where she called a fellow council member’s young son, who is black, a “little monkey” and suggested the child needed a “beatdown” during an October 2021 conversation about proposed redistricting. “It is with a broken heart that I resign my seat for Council District 6, the community I grew up in and my home,” she said in a long statement.

The global debt market is orders of magnitude larger than the stock market, and debt instruments across the globe have nearly reached the breaking point due to the Fed’s steady increase in interest rates this year (combined with seemingly endless money printing and other disastrous fiscal policies). Because bond values have an inverse relationship with interest rates, as interest rates go up, the value of bonds and other debt instruments already issued goes down. With each Fed rate increase, bond values are cratering, leaving debt investors holding substantial losses and leading to a collapse in the number of potential buyers...

In a statement, the former NAB CEO said he was forced to step down from Essendon because of his role as a church chairman. “I was being required to compromise beyond a level that my conscience allowed,” he said. Mr Thorburn said people should be able to hold different views on complex personal and moral matters, and be able to live and work together, even with those differences, and always with respect.
