As he, for the second time, seeks to become a United States senator, Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman claims that he only got involved in politics to fight crime in “his city,” Braddock PA, after two of his students were gunned down. Fetterman, so he implies, is not interested in status or money. He just wants to help people. The truth is, however, that Fetterman spent his entire adult life deliberately creating a narrative that he would use to achieve his ambition of getting elected to the United States Senate. After growing up in York and earning an MBA in Connecticut,...

Senate Republicans are on track to pick up two seats in the western United States in the 2022 midterms to win back a majority in the upper chamber, according to a projection 30 days until Election Day. Blake Masters could beat out Arizona Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, a RealClearPolitics projection shows, despite the incumbent having an average 1.8 percent polling advantage over his GOP challenger in the adjusted October figures. The projection also estimates that Republican Adam Laxalt will best Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto in Nevada in November. Laxalt has a 1.3 percent average polling advantage over the incumbent...

Yes, it could happen, but it would take a giant solar storm... Solar storms...occur when the sun releases an intense burst of electromagnetic radiation. This disturbance throws off waves of energy that travel outward, impacting other bodies in the solar system, including Earth. When the wayward electromagnetic waves interact with Earth's own magnetic field, they have a couple of effects. The first is that they cause electric currents to flow in Earth's upper atmosphere, heating the air...These geomagnetic storms can create beautiful auroras to appear over polar regions, but they can also disrupt radio signals and GPS. What's more, as...

Germany fears an increase in attacks on infrastructure and possible sabotage. General Carsten Breyer, the commander of the territorial command of the Bundeswehr, warned about such risks for the country in an interview with Bild am Sonntag. “We are in command, first of all, we are ready for hybrid threats. This is a state between not quite peace, but not war either,” he said. The general noted that after the cases of drone flights over barracks and military facilities, as well as explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, Germany’s defense forces have increased their readiness for possible new attacks....

Looking for a good spotting scope in the $600 range, for sighting in at 100 to 150 yards. Also, some nature watching. I want something in the 60 x50mm range. Lots of new brand names to navigate out there. Leupold and the like are good but expensive and a bit of overkill for what I need. I know the glass (lenses) are a critical factor. Suggestions?

“Early retirement” is a strange way to describe a 44-year-old’s acceptance of a new government role, but for Mikk Marran, Estonia’s spymaster, it feels a lot like that. As of next month he will no longer helm Välisluureamet, the Baltic state’s foreign intelligence service, which, long before Vladimir Putin’s faltering invasion of Ukraine, was at the forefront of assessing the threats and capabilities of a resurgent and revanchist Russia.(snip) According to one former high-ranking U.S. intelligence officer, “Estonia punches far above its weight on Russian affairs. The respect for Marran and his service in the U.S. intelligence community is quite...

Billionaire musician and entrepreneur Kanye West was suspended from Twitter and Instagram this weekend after he made several antisemitic posts, including a warning that he intended to go to “death con [sic] 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE” in subsequent posts. The trouble appeared to begin with West’s interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, during which he claimed that Jared Kushner brokered the Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab states solely because he appeared to be interested in making money. There is currently a congressional probe into an investment by a Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund into one of Kushner’s...

The exquisite golden tiara, inlaid with precious stones by master craftsmen some 1,500 years ago, was one of the world's most valuable artifacts from the blood-letting rule of Attila the Hun, who rampaged with horseback warriors deep into Europe in the 5th century. The Hun tiara, also known as a diadem, is now vanished from the museum in Ukraine that housed it — perhaps, historians fear, forever. Russian troops carted away the priceless crown and a hoard of other treasures after capturing the Ukrainian city of Melitopol in February, museum authorities say. The Russian invasion of Ukraine, now in its...

At least 13 people have been killed by Russian missile strikes on the south-eastern city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian officials say. Dozens more were wounded, and several residential buildings destroyed. The city is under Ukrainian control, but it is part of a region that Russia says it annexed last month. Zaporizhzhia has been hit repeatedly in recent weeks, as Russia hits back at urban areas after suffering defeats in the south and north-east of Ukraine. Parts of the Zaporizhzhia region, including its nuclear power plant - which is around 52km (30 miles) from the city - have been under Russian control...

ZAPORIZHZHIA, Ukraine (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday called the attack that damaged the huge bridge connecting Russia to its annexed territory of Crimea “a terrorist act” masterminded by Ukrainian special services. The Kerch Bridge, which holds important strategic and symbolic value to Russia in its faltering war in Ukraine, was hit a day earlier by what Moscow has said was a truck bomb. Road and rail traffic on the bridge were temporarily halted, damaging a vital supply route for the Kremlin’s forces.“There’s no doubt it was a terrorist act directed at the destruction of critically important civilian infrastructure...

Are The Majority Of US Bishops Pro-Abortion? That question above is not facetious. I am quite serious when I ask that. Consider the following. While Mark Houck's situation continues to develop, we are learning of yet another antic by Federalized Bullies for Intimidation (FBI). Brian Gibson, director of Pro-Life Action Ministries, revealed to LifeNews that FBI agents harassed two of his team.Recently Michael Hichborn of the Lepanto Institute released a report revealing the overtly pro-abortion activities of Faith in Action, a recipient of CCHD grants totaling $500k. I said "overtly" because Faith in Action is quite blatant about their support...

A new study indicates that President Joe Biden's energy policies have cost the U.S. nearly $100 billion in annual output, leaving millions more barrels that could have been produced. The Committee to Unleash Prosperity — a group founded by economists Steve Forbes, Art Laffer, and Stephen Moore — discovered a trend while reviewing oil and gas production under the previous two administrations.Between 2 and 3 million more barrels of oil would be produced each day if former President Donald Trump had a second term, with another 20 to 25 billion cubic feet of natural gas produced as well, according to the...

Targeting "crime-loving" Gov. Steve Sisolak and crime in Democrat-run cities Saturday night, former President Donald Trump denounced sanctuary cities and states, calling for America to be a "sanctuary for law-abiding citizens.""Radical Democrats want to turn America into one giant sanctuary for dangerous criminal aliens," Trump told his Save America rally in Minden, Nevada, which aired live Saturday night on Newsmax. "In the Republican Party, we believe our country should be a sanctuary for law-abiding citizens who love our nation."If we are going to make America great again, we have to make America safe again. Two people were shot outside the Long Island home of GOP gubernatorial candidate Rep. Lee Zeldin on Sunday while his teenage twin daughters were at home, he confirmed to The Post. “My daughters Mikayla and Arianna were doing homework on the first floor,” said Zeldin, who was not home at the time. “They heard the shots. Boom! They went upstairs and locked themselves in the bathroom. “They’re freaked out,” the congressman said. Vertappen became the F1 World Champion today, after winning the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. 12 wins out of 18 races this year with 4 more races to go. Could break the single season record of 13 wins. 32 F1 wins altogether. Only 25 years old. Probably going to end up with at least 5 world championships altogether if not more.
