At least 13 people have been killed by Russian missile strikes on the south-eastern city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian officials say.
Dozens more were wounded, and several residential buildings destroyed.
The city is under Ukrainian control, but it is part of a region that Russia says it annexed last month.
Zaporizhzhia has been hit repeatedly in recent weeks, as Russia hits back at urban areas after suffering defeats in the south and north-east of Ukraine.
Parts of the Zaporizhzhia region, including its nuclear power plant - which is around 52km (30 miles) from the city - have been under Russian control since early in the invasion.
Ukrainian officials initially put the death toll at 17 but later revised it down.
The BBC's Paul Adams, who was recently in the city, says the buildings struck are not obvious military targets and the attacks seem entirely indiscriminate.

While western diplomats were being regularly kidnapped in Lebanon a Soviet diplomat was only kidnapped once. Why? Because the KGB proved to the terrorists that the KGB was much better at terrorism than they were. No one ever bothered a Soviet diplomat again.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
My grandfather was born close to Kiev but considered himself Russian. Until the Bolsheviks destroyed their farm in 1915.
They took all their crops and livestock. They were Kulaks so had to be punished.
The BBC does this same jive when Israel goes after Hamas or Hezbollah. ‘No military bla blah’.
- Crimean Bridge is back in operation - further repairs are required but road and rail traffic resumes;
- Western media notes the US is out of ammunition to send Ukraine and that US allies have even less;
- Nations like France have reached the limits of what they can send in terms of heavy weapons;
- Regional weather and subsequent mud is limiting the mobility of ground forces on both sides, giving the advantage to Russia which possess a larger air force, more drones, and long-range weapons indifferent to ground conditions;
- Ukrainian forces are losing ground in Bakhmut, indicating Ukrainian forces are already overextended - a situation that will only worsen in time;
- Russian forces are preserving their men and equipment and will soon be reinforced by an additional 300,000 troops;
Pretty good if they can take down one section of a building and leave the rest. Wonder what was in that section.
If it’s anything like what Ukraine military does using schools and churches for their military to camp out in then it’s likely an apartment complex would certainly work.
Looks like also the WhiteHouse is calling for negotiations - if true then Zelensky’s armament routes might well get cut off..... read Putin is also calling for negotations. ....Of course Zelensky won’t agree, he wants war since he’s not paying for it.
Innocent civilians.
...after Russia pulls all of its troops out of Ukraine. Period.
Nope -what a foolish thing to say - that was already tried in a simple cease fire - Ukraine military didn’t stop. So why on earth would Russia pull out and watch Ukrainians snuff out those in the areas now annexed. So that’s not going to happen.
Ukrainian military.
I guess the irony in your statement here is completely lost on you.
From 2014 Ukraines army has caused thousnads of deaths in those areas - so no not irony even a little bit.
Not Russia’s m.o. It either had Azov or Ukrainian force operatives using it for beuviwack or mission planning or, what most likely happened, knowing Ukraine’s past history of false flags, the building was taken out by them to then blame it on the Russians.
