While China is aggressively expanding its military, a new report from the National Defense University has exposed areas of possible concern for the People’s Liberation Army. Using the biographies of more than 300 senior Chinese military officers from 2015-2021, the researcher, Joel Wuthnow, found that they were largely homogeneous in age, education, gender, and ethnicity and that there was limited cross-training between military branches, both of which could pose long-term problems.

NBC News compared the illegal immigrants who landed in Martha’s Vineyard this week to “trash” in a since-deleted tweet. The corporate media outlet posted an article about how the migrants, who are primarily Venezuelan, are dividing the Venezuelan-American community.

Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) said Friday on MSNBC’s “The Reid Out” that his Republican opponent J.D. Vance was a dangerous “weirdo” who could not be trusted. When asked about Vance’s abortion position, Ryan said, “It’s absolutely incredible to think that this guy wants to be in the United States Senate. I mean, generally speaking, you’d say, ‘This is a pretty weird guy, you know. This is a weirdo. That’s the problem that we run into today. This guy is not sitting on some bar stool somewhere. This guy is actually running for the United States Senate....

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that the administration has taken “unprecedented action” to secure the border–even as we face an ongoing border crisis. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended the Biden administration’s record on immigration at a press conference, answering a reporter who asked about the border crisis by remarking, “We understand that we have work to do, we understand that, and we have been doing the work to do that.”

Over in Europe, and particularly in those countries in the vanguard of the green energy transition, the enormous costs of this folly have begun to hit home. In the UK, average annual consumer energy bills were scheduled to rise as of October 1 to £3549/year, from only £1138/year just a year ago. (The figure may now get reduced somewhat by means of massive government subsidies, which only conceal, but do not obviate, the disastrous cost increases.) Germany’s regulated consumer gas bills are scheduled for an average annual increase on October 1 of about 480 euros, about 13%, from an already...

Longtime Martha’s Vineyard residents hailed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ move to relocate migrants to the vacation island as a way of highlighting Biden’s border crisis — with one suggesting that Barack Obama’s $12 million estate should have been used as a processing center. The idyllic enclave off the coast of Massachusetts was plunged into chaos and the local tourist board declared a “humanitarian crisis’’ after just 50 Venezuelan migrants landed there. ... Bostrom added, “I don’t blame DeSantis one bit.” “He’s trying to draw attention to the problem America has currently,” . “It’s not an anti-immigration move. It’s bringing the...

Jones and Smith have delivered the definitive short guide to the development of wokeism, inclusive of Maoism. Wokeism is conventionally traced back through progressivism and Marxism to the fake liberalism of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The histories of wokeism have failed to focus on Maoism, even though some observers noticed the similarity between Mao Zedong’s cultural revolution of the late 1960s and the West’s cultural revolution of the late 2010s. In 1966, China’s students rallied for “rebellion,” against “reactionary” teachers and courses, and against Mao’s “four olds” (old ideas, old culture, old customs, old habits). Then came the witch hunts, show trials,...

"Without voter suppression, Stacey Abrams would be the governor of Georgia; Andrew Gillum is the governor of Florida," then-Sen. Kamala Harris said. ... Immediately below are 10 representative examples of election denial by leading Democrats, followed by a link to a more extensive list: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has at least questioned, if not outright denied, the outcomes of the 2000, 2004, and 2016 presidential elections, as well as the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election. She said that the Supreme Court "took away a presidency," following the 2000 presidential election, in its ruling in Bush v. Gore. Clinton also...

Ancona (Italy) (AFP) – From parched rivers to a glacier collapse and this week's deadly storms, Italy has suffered numerous climate events this year -- but many politicians pay the subject little more than lip service. Desperate to see some firm commitments ahead of September 25 elections, climate activists staged a sit-in at the Rome offices of frontrunner Giorgia Meloni earlier this month. They demanded a public meeting with the far-right leader, but police carted them off the premises. Concern over the spiralling cost of living has drowned out the debate over how to tackle the devastation caused by global...

New Orleans overtook St. Louis as the US murder capital in the first half of this year, as the city struggles with its lowest police staffing level in modern history amid a crisis of officer morale. In the first six months of 2022, New Orleans recorded 41 murders per 100,000 population, a higher homicide rate than any other US city, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of data from the Major Cities Chiefs Association. By comparison, the first-half murder rate per 100,000 was 11.5 in Chicago, 4.8 in Los Angeles and 2.4 in New York City.

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemMatthew 3 John the Baptist Prepares the Way 3 In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” 3 This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’”[a] 4 John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. 5 People went out to him...

President Joe Biden warned Vladmir Putin to avoid using nuclear weapons as his forces are beaten back in Ukraine or face 'consequences.' In a preview for this Sunday's 60 Minutes, Scott Pelley asked the president what words he would have for his Russian counterpart if he is considering using chemical or tactical nuclear weapons in the Ukraine. Biden responded: 'Don't. Don't. Don't. You will change the face of war unlike anything since World War II.'

The Biden administration is spending nearly $80 million on a new system to monitor illegal immigrants that prohibits the use of any GPS technology, a decision that experts say will make it impossible to locate their whereabouts after their release into the United States. The system, according to government records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, is meant to track illegal immigrants via monthly check-ins via phone. Migrants released into the U.S. interior aged 18-19 are eligible for the program. Any GPS monitoring that would give exact locations, such as ankle monitor tracking, is explicitly forbidden, according to the contract....

The spectacle of the left’s reaction to a mere 50 “migrants” turning up in Martha’s Vineyard has to be the most satisfying since Nixon’s Christmas bombing of Hanoi in 1972. Just when you think liberal hypocrisy and virtue signaling can’t get any more obvious, two airplanes and a few buses show how easy it is to find more depths to it. I believe this is what some notable person called “winning,” and I’m not tired of it yet. I think I’ll do my part and send a relief package of Mike Lindell’s pillows up to the beleaguered residents of MV.

" "If the storm maintains this intensity as forecast, it will make landfall as one of the top five strongest storms to strike western Japan on record," said Robert Speta, a typhoon expert who previously worked as a meteorologist in Japan. He said Nanmadol was the strongest tropical system anywhere on the planet so far this year."

How many more nails does the FBI coffin need before we can officially pronounce the organization done and defund it? The Washington Times broke a story on Thursday that deserves much more attention than it got: According to both current and former rank-and-file FBI agents, Joe Biden is so desperate to prove that White supremacists are a huge threat to America that he’s been pressuring agents to make up cases (something that may explain the FBI-inspired Gretchen Whitmer “kidnap plot” in Michigan). The whistleblowers are anonymous, so this story is still an allegation, but it’s certainly consistent with the administration’s...

When word came that Queen Elizabeth II was close to her death, media organizations around the world sprang to life, dispatching reporters to a royal castle in Scotland and breaking out coverage plans decades in the making. At age 96, the queen’s passing was hardly a surprise. Still, the British royal succession is a media event on steroids that will culminate in Monday’s live coverage of funeral services from Westminster Abbey. “It’s something I’ve always sort of dreaded and anticipated and worried about,” said Deb Thompson, assistant London bureau chief for CBS News in the United States, recalling nights spent...

On August 15, 2019, the San Diego Gun Owners Political Action Committee, James Miller, and others filed a lawsuit against then California Attorney General Beccera, challenging the constitutionality of the California “assault weapon” ban. As the case evolved, it became known as Miller v Bona. Here is a summation from the complaint filed on August 15, 2019:1. This is a facial and as applied constitutional challenge to California Penal Code §§ 30515(a)(2) and 30515(a)(5), California Code of Regulations § 5471, subdivs. (b), (n), and (p), and Defendants policies, practices, customs, and enforcement of said law, which define and prohibit certain...
