And in Greenwich, a developer recently withdrew an application to build a project that would include 58 apartments priced below market rate, after residents living in nearby luxury condominiums objected Throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut, local residents and elected officials...

In 2022 many American conservatives are in a state of acute anxiety, convinced that they are under siege as never before and that they are losing. Across the nation, the commanding heights of the federal bureaucracy, the news media, the entertainment industry, Big Tech, and the educational system from preschool to graduate school are dominated by people who seem increasingly hostile to conservative beliefs. In social media and elsewhere, identity politics and the ideology of “wokeism” appear to reign supreme, and a censorious left-wing “cancel culture” operates with virtual impunity. Adding to the sense of conservative vulnerability is the declining...

It’s been a minute or two since I posted anything like this. In fact, it’s been decades. A long time ago, I wrote a lot of political posts, articles and even books in support of the War on Terror. During the research for my first non-fiction book, I had some online issues with someone who didn’t like my opinion. He really didn’t like it, and he believed I should die for expressing a view (a fact-based view) that he didn’t like. He was from Egypt, and in 2002 a death threat from someone in Egypt meant getting the FBI involved....

A top House Republican investigator has accused the Treasury Department of hiding information that could be damaging to Hunter Biden and is investigating if it is being done to protect President Joe Biden. Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the ranking member on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, sent letters to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in May and June and argued that the Treasury Department’s new response continued to stonewall his efforts to get answers on Hunter Biden’s financial transactions linked to China, Russia, and elsewhere. “It’s unacceptable that the Treasury Department continues to run cover for the Biden family and...

Just to restate what we've written about many times before, mask mandates don't work -- and they're especially needless and ineffective in schools. It's worse than that, actually. Forced masking can have an affirmatively harmful effect on some young children, rendering continued requirements not only anti-science, but almost abusive. We have known the facts about kids and COVID for at least two years at this point, and yet, as the 2022-2023 academic year is getting underway, a number of districts across the country are imposing this data-defying insanity upon students yet again. Philadelphia is one of the most science-hostile jurisdictions...

It was "appropriate" for a special master to be approved to oversee the examination of the documents seized from former President Donald Trump's home in August, as the Department of Justice and the intelligence community have a "poor track record" of acting in a nonpartisan way where he is concerned, Rep. Ben Cline said on Newsmax, Tuesday. "It is continually disappointing to watch as our DOJ muddles its way through this terrible procedure of executing the search warrant and collecting all kinds of potentially personal attorney-client privilege-protected information," the Virginia Republican said on Newsmax's "National Report." Cline added that one...

A public school district in southeastern Minnesota has banned pork offerings on all of its menus to accommodate Muslim students. Faribault Public Schools is no longer offering pork in its school cafeterias after a prior board meeting where concerns about the pork offerings were raised by the local chapter of the Minnesota Parent Union. Members of the Minnesota Parent Union and two managers from Sodexo, a food and facilities company, spoke about the significant menu change in a video last month, which was shared by the district. Activist Tiffini Flynn Forslund had met Sodexo district manager Lori McMahon at the...

"But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus." "Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes." "So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that...

New "The View" co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said Monday she hopes to represent former President Trump's voters in the ABC show's Republican seat, although she has become one of his staunchest critics and hopes he never returns to the White House. "I'm a millennial and I worked in the Trump administration," she said on ABC's "Good Morning America" in a segment previewing the show's upcoming season. "I've also since criticized the former president, but I still want to be a voice for the 74 million Americans who voted for him, and kind of tell them, from my experience, here's why...

The slow fade-out of dynastic politics in the US is continuing in 2022. Just in the last few weeks, Nick Begich III was defeated for the Alaska House seat his grandfather once held; his uncle was also a senator from Alaska. And in New York, State Senator Alessandra Biaggi, whose grandfather served in the US House, failed to win a House seat. Yet the most high-profile development this year is the apparent political demise of the Bush family, with Texas Land Commissioner George P. attempting to move up to state attorney general and getting squashed by a better than 2-to-1...

The left-wing PolitiFact hacks worked overtime to gaslight Americans on the deleterious effects of President Joe Biden’s student debt forgiveness scam. PolitiFact took a swipe at multiple criticisms of Biden’s irresponsible student debt policy on Aug. 26. The “fact-check” required three authors and came after Biden announced a legally dubious plan to cancel $10,000 in student loan debt for anyone making less than $125k (or $250k for couples filing jointly). In one portion of the 921-word article, PolitiFact targeted National Review for daring to share an estimate by the National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) that found that the average cost...

The green agenda coalition now is demanding the elimination of natural gas furnaces and appliances in homes nationwide, a move that could trigger replacements costs of $12,000 for homeowners. And the plan is being slammed as representing a federal government "out of control," according to a state lawmaker. The plan is being pushed by the Sierra Club and dozens of other "environmental" groups, who are demanding the Environmental Protection Agency ban the use of natural gas for home heating – everywhere in the country. The groups' petition claims that the federal agency absolutely has to regulate "deadly pollution" from the...

Embalmers around the country are reportedly finding staggering increases in the number of corpses presenting with “fibrous” clots post-mortem. Alabama funeral director Richard Hirschman told The Epoch Times that, prior to 2020, he found these clots in around 5% to 10% of the bodies he embalmed. This number has since increased to between 50% and 70%, Hirschman said. According to results from a lab in Texas, clots lack a number of key health markers for human blood, including iron, potassium, zinc, and magnesium. This suggests that the clots were not formed in blood, but further research is needed to identify...
