“Jesus got up and began to follow him, and so did His disciples” (Matthew 9:19). Jesus was always willing to go out of His way to serve others in the Father’s name. This trait was certainly evident as Christ reached out to Jairus with accessibility and availability. There were certainly many other needy people in the region near Jairus, but the urgency of the synagogue leader’s circumstances demanded that Jesus go to Jairus’s home. From a distance the Lord could have sent the power to raise the man’s daughter from the dead. He chose, however, to manifest selfless love and...

Chicago carjackings are on pace to rise again in 2022 after already dramatic increases in 2020 and 2021, trending towards a number that would be six times higher than just eight years ago. "The data on Chicago carjacking through the years, and especially through the first half of 2022, serves as an unfortunate example of what happens when a city becomes 'open' for crime, with no real deterrence or consequences in most instances," wrote Wirepoints Senior Editor Matt Rosenberg, who analyzed the 2022 data. Chicago is on pace for 1,960 carjackings in 2022, according to data compiled by Wirepoints, blowing...

"And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him." "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." "Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God." John, Chapter 8 1...

It can be confusing at times what role God plays in pain, hardship and suffering versus what is sin or the fall. We see in scripture that God created a good earth and that everything he’d created in those six days was good. Then sin enters the scene, and much of the good is spoiled. Satan’s evil is part of this. I believe Satan has been given some leeway under the authority of God. God doesn’t cause any of the evil that Satan does, but he has given Satan some leeway to have that hostility. The evil of sin in...

A United Nations diplomat from Africa was accused of raping one of his neighbors in Upper Manhattan over the weekend — but NYPD cops released him because he has diplomatic immunity, authorities said Monday. Charles Dickens Imene Oliha, 46 — a career diplomat for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in South Sudan — was arrested in Sunday’s alleged sex assault on a woman inside her apartment around noon, according to a police report obtained by The Post. Oliha was taken into custody on suspicion of rape and brought in for questioning, cops said. But once he informed...

Canada’s federal government has ordered a ‘full and thorough’ investigation after a Veterans Affairs Canada employee encouraged a veteran to undergo assisted suicide when he called for help. The Canadian Forces veteran was seeking treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and a traumatic brain injury when he was casually offered medical assistance in dying (MAiD) in July. A VAC employee reportedly brought up MAiD unprompted in the conversation with the veteran, who was ‘deeply disturbed’ by the suggestion.

The transgender prisoner who impregnated two of her fellow inmates at a women's prison in New Jersey has revealed she tried to remove one of her testicles with a razor after being misgendered at her new men's facility. Demi Minor, 27, was moved from Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in Union Township to the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility (GSYCF) with male inmates in June after guards learned of the pregnancies. Minor, who is serving a 30-year sentence for stabbing her former foster father to death, has since complained that she has been mistreated and abused at her new...

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says the Greta Thunberg cult has “gone bust”. “A mere child, full of rage, obsessed with doom, totally devoid of any practical solutions – but here she was lecturing the world on how to fuel their 21st century economies,” Mr Bolt said. “Thunberg is now a victim of her own success in scaring people into doing very, very stupid things that we're now paying for.”

A Republican-led House in Congress will hold Dr. Anthony Fauci accountable, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Monday following Dr. Anthony Fauci’s announcement. “Dr. Fauci lost the trust of the American people when his guidance unnecessarily kept schools closed and businesses shut while obscuring questions about his knowledge on the origins of COVID,” McCarthy said Monday, adding, “He owes the American people answers,” McCarthy said Monday.

Parents of school-age children are right to be concerned about the Department of Education’s (DOE) proposed Title IX rule. Among other problems, the rule redefines “sex” to include “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” and “pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions.” [snip] Even if you home-school your children or send them to private or religious schools, your children will still be affected. How? First... they will be surrounded by other kids—friends, neighbors, members of sports teams, Sunday School classmates, youth group members, and fellow participants in clubs and activities—who do attend public schools and who will be inculcated into a radical sexual ideology that...

A Republican candidate gained ground against a Democrat candidate on the generic congressional ballot since May, according to a poll by NBC News released Sunday. The generic Republican is ahead of the generic Democrat on the congressional ballot by two points, showing they took the lead, as both parties were tied on the May generic congressional ballot. On NBC News’ August poll, the respondents were asked what was their “preference for the outcome of this November’s congressional elections… a Congress controlled by Republicans or a Congress controlled by Democrats?” The August poll showed that 47 percent would vote for the...

As the peak time for U.S. hurricanes arrives, utilities along the nation’s coastlines are facing unprecedented delays in obtaining new power transformers, the critical grid equipment that moves electricity over wires. “There are shortages [of transformers] all over, in all four corners of the U.S.,” Marshall said. “We’re talking about a crisis we see, but a lot of the outside world doesn’t.” An already tight supply line for transformers has become more constrained as an array of forces push supply and demand further apart, a Department of Energy investigation documented this year. U.S. utilities are heavily dependent on foreign transformer...

China’s property sector is crumbling in the wake of the country’s tough pandemic restrictions, with frustrated homeowners taking part in unprecedented mortgage boycotts. In August, the nation recorded its 12th straight month of falling property sales, as cash-strapped developers struggle to complete projects. The country’s economic growth was just 0.4 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter – its slowest rate since the initial Covid outbreak. So far, more than 20 major developers have defaulted on their debts in the past year alone, with S&P Global Ratings warning around 20 per cent of Chinese developers are now at risk of...

SEA SHELL CITY WAS SET up in 1957 and relocated in 1963 to its current location. The kitschy shop has been selling seashells since. Though none of the shells are native to the area, the shop sells an incredibly wide variety. The crown jewel of the shop is The Man Killing Clam, a bleached shell of a Giant Clam (Tridacna Gigas) that sits proudly along the back wall of the shop. The shell is more than 500 pounds and is ivory in color. There’s a light installed inside the clam to illuminate the maw of the shell. The clam’s image...

NBC Nightly News seemed to have discovered that the U.S. is in a “housing recession” under President Joe Biden on Aug. 18, after MRC Business ripped the network for initially ignoring the story. CNBC on Aug. 15 reported that The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index “dropped 6 points in August to 49” for its eighth consecutive monthly decline. Anything below a 50 is considered negative. NAHB Chief Economist Robert Dietz said in a statement obtained by CNBC that “‘[t]ighter monetary policy from the Federal Reserve and persistently elevated construction costs have brought on a housing...
