This is a tale of two columns written by the same columnist. One is utterly sympathetic with a president who has to deal with dictators. The other one angrily trashes a president who has to deal with dictators. Both columns were written by Max Boot of The Washington Post, and the only difference is the presidents to whom he referring. The new column is about Joe Biden dealing with presidents and you can see the fawningly sympathetic attitude of the column titled, “Cut Biden some slack. U.S. presidents have to deal with dictators.”

Pope Francis Calls on Humanity to ‘Repent’ for Abuse of Mother EarthROME — We humans “must repent and modify our lifestyles” because of our abuse of Mother Earth, Pope Francis states in a message released Thursday. In his Message for the Celebration of the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, the pontiff decries the “mistreatment” of our common home stemming from “our consumerist excesses,” “tyrannical anthropocentrism,” “predatory economic interests,” and “short sighted and selfish actions” leading to “the collapse of our planet’s ecosystems.”“In the first place, it is our sister, mother earth, who cries out. Prey to our...

“You tried to create a censorship board inside a law enforcement agency of the federal government,” Posobiec continued, “And I took it down. We don’t do that in the United States of America.” In late May Jankowicz publicly named Posobiec as the person she most singularly blames for her downfall and the Ministry of Truth‘s evisceration. In her first interview since the board’s end, Jankowicz told MSNBC host Chris Hayes that her resignation was the result of a grandiose conspiracy or “coordinating mechanism” as “all these sensationalized narratives about what people thought the board was going to do was completely...

Fucoidan, a kind of sulfated polysaccharide present in brown algae, is considered as a promising therapeutic agent because of its multiple bioactivities. Despite growing evidence that fucoidan has a protective effect on diabetes, the effect of fucoidan on brain abnormalities in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients remains unclear. Recently, a research team discovered that low molecular weight fucoidan (LMWF) could promote angiogenesis in db/db mice (type 2 diabetes mice). The researchers used a low molecular weight fucoidan (LMWF) prepared from saccharina japonica to investigate its effect on the cerebrovascular damage in db/db mice. Results showed that the degree of...

One little known fact about the abortion pill, formerly called RU-486, is that it has ties to the manufacturer of the deadly gas Zyklon-B, used by the Nazis during the Holocaust. Zyklon-B was originally used as a pesticide against rodents and other vermin until the Nazis realized the gas, manufactured by the German chemical company I. G. Farben, could also be used as a way to exterminate large numbers of humans. According to the New York Times, “I.G. Farben played so important a role in Hitler’s war machine and in the Holocaust that it came to be called ”the devil’s...

In an article about opposition by pro-lifers to birth control that the Obama Administration is expected to force insurers to cover, Mother Jones columnist Kate Sheppard describes the abortifacient effectof the pills and then claims it is not abortion. Sheppard offers a quote from Jeanne Monahan of Family Research Council’s Center for Human Dignity: The other problem, says Monahan, is abortion. Specifically, abortion opponents argue that some emergency contraceptives — so called morning-after pills — can cause very early abortions by preventing the implantation of fertilized eggs into a woman’s uterus. “So those 7 to 10 days before a baby...

Experiment in ChaosOregon’s decriminalization of drug possession is proving disastrous. In 2020, Oregon became the first state to decriminalize possession of drugs, including hard drugs. Portland district attorney Michael Schmidt gleefully announced that his office would immediately stop prosecuting drug possession even before the law went into effect, saying, “Past punitive drug policies and laws resulted in over-policing of diverse communities, heavy reliance on correctional facilities and a failure to promote public safety and health.” Less than two years later, Oregon is suffering through the predictable results of this experiment: overdoses are skyrocketing, violent crime is rising, and virtually nobody is...

Too often, political debate resembles nothing so much as King of the Hill, a mad dash to see who can claim for themselves the coveted label of “mainstream” and condemn his or her foes to the “fringe.” Activists and partisans almost value the perception that their views are “safe” more than they value actual moral correctness or intellectual consistency. Case in point: on Sunday, the Washington Monthly’s Ed Kilgore warned that pro-life activists are more extreme than an unsuspecting public would ever imagine: [M]ost of them want to ban not only every single clinical abortion, but also devices and medications...

CLAIM: Biden announced that he has cancer. THE FACTS: Biden appeared at the Somerset, Massachusetts, power station to announce new steps to combat climate change. At one point during his speech, he discussed the impact of environmental pollution from oil refineries near his hometown, sharing an anecdote about his childhood. Right-wing accounts quickly began sharing a clip of this remark with the claim that Biden was revealing that he had cancer. But Andrew Bates, a White House spokesperson, confirmed on Twitter that Biden was referring to the publicly disclosed fact that he had skin cancer removed before he became president....

With the announcement Thursday that President Biden has COVID comes the naked double standard in how the liberal media treat an ill Republican president. In a perfect example, The View gave Biden a “get well soon dude,” meanwhile they angrily denounced how then-President Trump was receiving "privileged treatment" "at taxpayer expense" and compared him to a dictator. On October 5, 2020, the Monday after the news of Trump’s diagnosis broke, co-host Whoopi Goldberg opened the show by whining about his treatment. “He's the head of the free world. So he's -- whatever they're giving him, they're giving him to pump...

Ford Motor Co. is planning to cut as many as 8,000 jobs from its internal combustion engine division as it seeks to channel more funding into its electric vehicle division. The cuts, reported by Bloomberg, follow Ford CEO Jim Farley's previously announced plans to cut $3 billion in company costs by 2026, including through employee layoffs, as well as his efforts to restructure the company radically. To that end, Farley has separated Ford into two separate units: “Ford Blue,” which focuses on traditional, industrial combustion engine vehicles, as well as the newer “Model E” division that focuses solely on EV...

As we highlight in today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report, a new poll brings more devastating news to the Biden Administration and to Democrats hoping to salvage something in the upcoming elections: a healthy majority of Americans oppose the President’s policy toward Ukraine. This poll was not commissioned by the GOP or RPI or any hostile entity. It was commissioned by a news outlet most invested in the Biden Administration and the Democratic Party: CNN. When the Democrats lose CNN… well it’s probably similar to Republicans losing Fox News. But according to the poll, not only does a scant 25 percent...

SIXTEENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME MATTHEW 13:10–17 Friends, today in our Gospel, the disciples ask Jesus why he speaks to the crowds in parables. Jesus is explaining the kingdom of God in these provocative and puzzling stories and images that seemed to be his preferred way of preaching. And he replies to his disciples, “This is why I speak to them in parables, because ‘they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.’” In other words, because the crowds refused to believe in him and what he has to say. Many parables are strange and...
