“ATTENTION – Your gas guzzler kills. We have deflated one or more of your tires. You’ll be angry, but don’t take it personally. It’s not you, it’s your car.” The letters placed on windshields, along with said deflated tires, are what greeted several Bay Area drivers on the morning of July 5. The letters contained a message written by an international group that deflates the tires of SUVs and other larger vehicles in the name of fighting climate change. “We did this because driving around urban areas in your massive vehicle has huge consequences for others,” the leaflet says. “We’re...

Alan Dershowitz slammed Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) on Fox News moments after the congresswoman demonized people who are pro-choice. Appearing on Friday’s Hannity, Boebert told a whopper to guest host Gregg Jennings, stating that “genocide squad” progressives want abortion even when it comes to babies that have been birthed.......... Dershowitz said he opposes protesting justices at restaurants and their homes, but then ripped into Boebert for her remarks: Look, I oppose the reversal of Roe v. Wade. I think, by the way, what Congresswoman Bobert said – calling people on my side of the issue the “genocide squad” and saying...

...Vaccine opponents have appropriated “My Body, My Choice,” a slogan that has been inextricably linked to reproductive rights for nearly half a century, to fight mask and vaccine mandates across the country — including in California, where lawmakers had vowed to adopt the toughest vaccine requirements in the U.S. As the anti-vaccine contingent has notched successes, the abortion rights movement has taken hit after hit, culminating in the June 24 Supreme Court decision that ended the federal constitutional right to abortion. The ruling leaves it up to states to decide, and up to 26 states are expected to ban or...

Canadian fashion mogul Peter Nygard's Montreal court appearance on sex-related charges has been put off due to the Rogers Communications network outage. Prosecutor Jerome Laflamme says it is impossible to have Nygard, who is detained in a Toronto jail, appear in court by videoconference due to the outage at the Toronto-based telecommunications company. Laflamme says Nygard will appear in Quebec court next week for a bail hearing, but a date was not set. Nygard faces one count of sexual assault and one count of forcible confinement in Quebec. He also faces six counts of sexual assault and three counts of...

For months, Germany has feared having to ration energy amid Russia’s increasing willingness to turn off the tap. Now those fears are becoming a reality as Germany prepares for a return to 1970s-style energy rationing, when the OPEC oil embargo forced governments to mandate measures like dimmer lights and car-free Sundays. Only, the energy crisis of 2022 isn’t limited to oil. Last year, Germany relied on Russia for 55% of its natural gas imports. Germany has since been able to reduce that number to 35%, but with Russia seemingly prepared to further cut gas shipments to Europe, German officials are...

Thousands of people have been making fake reservations at Morton's steakhouse after the restaurant defended conservative Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade last month. Abortion rights protesters in D.C. learned that Kavanaugh was having dinner at Morton's and gathered outside the restaurant on Wednesday night, forcing the Supreme Court justice to exit out a back door. While the court has yet to comment on Kavanaugh's behalf regarding the incident, a representative for Morton's wrote in a statement to Politico: "Honorable Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh and all of our other patrons at the restaurant were...

hy are so many unusual outbreaks of disease suddenly happening all over the planet? We were already dealing with a seemingly endless global pandemic coming into 2022, and so far this year a bird flu pandemic has resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of our chickens and turkeys, the worst monkeypox outbreak in history has spread like wildfire in the western world, and now it is being reported that there is an outbreak of the Marburg Virus in Africa. We have already lost our opportunity to contain monkeypox, and that is really bad news. But if authorities are...

Confessed Highland Park shooter Robert Crimo III admitted to cops three years ago that he was a depressed teenage drug user when quizzed about threatening to “kill everyone” in his family, newly released documents show. A Highland Park police report details why the then-18-year-old alleged shooter was flagged as a “clear and present danger” in 2019 — just a few months before his dad helped him start amassing the arsenal he allegedly used to kill seven and injure dozens at his local Fourth of July parade.

Those who knew the 21-year-old suspect, Robert Crimo III, say he habitually smoked cannabis, a habit he appeared to share with young mass shooters, including at Uvalde, Dayton, Parkland and Aurora...At some point, his father moved out of the family home into a house two miles away in Highwood, while Crimo stayed with his mother and the Highland Park house fell into disrepair...But when Crimo turned 18, his personality changed, Pacileo told NBC News,..."Instead of therapy, he turned to drugs..."...Another former friend, Bennett Brizes, described the Crimo he knew from age 14 to 17 as "an isolated stoner who completely...

“‘Everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. . . . Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand’” (Matthew 7:24, 26). An important way to discern between true believers and those who merely profess faith in Christ is to consider Jesus’ illustration of the hearers and builders. The crucial element to understand is the foundations upon which people build hopes. While there are clear...

BIDEN HOPS ON THE RAPE BANDWAGON I wrote here about the sensational story of a 10-year-old rape victim in Ohio who had to travel to Indiana for an abortion. The story, phoned into an Indiana newspaper by an abortionist who seems to spend most of her time promulgating pro-abortion propaganda in the press, spread around the world almost instantaneously. But there is little reason to believe it is true. No one, including Snopes, has been able to verify it, there is no sign of any criminal investigation or prosecution of the supposed rapist, and the abortionist who originally peddled the...

Injections of hyaluronic acid (known as viscosupplementation) to treat knee osteoarthritis make almost no difference to pain and might raise risk of adverse events, suggests research. Knee osteoarthritis is a chronic disease that involves inflammation and structural changes of the joints, resulting in joint pain and limitations to physical movement. It is a leading cause of disability among older people. National and international guidelines vary in their recommendations, but most advise against the use of viscosupplementation. In England, guidelines recommend against its use, but health care systems in other countries including the U.S. still offer it to patients. An international...

York officials on Friday said police officer Clayton Swartz will receive an $82,000 settlement after agreeing not to return to work for the city. However, the city planned to take the case to Commonwealth Court before recently concluding the trial, scheduled to start next week, would cost the city more than $250,000, according to a news release. In the news release, Mayor Michael Helfrich said, “I stood my...

Copper exposure in the environment and the protein alpha-synuclein in the human brain could play an important role in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. A team from was able to show how the protein forms into an unusual shape when exposed to large amounts of copper ions. Researchers have now taken a closer look at the abnormal shape of these alpha-synucleins in the form of protein rings. In doing so, they were also able to visualize at the nanoscale the connection with environmental pollution by copper. The researchers are targeting a protein that is involved in several molecular processes in...
