Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) used the horrific shooting that took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, to argue that one way to prevent more school shootings was to pack the Supreme Court. Markey began by calling for gun control — as have a number of his Democratic colleagues and even President Joe Biden — and then immediately pivoted to argue that the only way to ensure that gun control laws would not face a challenge or even face the possibility of being overturned was to add at least two justices to the Supreme Court. “Ed Markey uses the...

Former President Donald Trump on Friday argued the United States should make it easier to confine "deranged" people and eliminate gun-free school zones after a gunman killed 19 children and two teachers this week at a Texas school. "Clearly, we need to make it far easier to confine the violent and mentally deranged into mental institutions," Trump said in a speech at a convention in Houston of the National Rifle Association, a gun rights advocacy group. Tuesday's fatal shooting of 19 pupils and two teachers in Uvalde, Texas, by an 18-year-old gunman equipped with an AR-15 style semiautomatic rifle again...

When a male cockroach wants to mate with a female cockroach very much, he will scoot his butt toward her, open his wings and offer her a homemade meal — sugars and fats squished out of his tergal gland. As the lovely lady nibbles, the male locks onto her with one penis while another penis delivers a sperm package. If everything goes smoothly, a roach’s romp can last around 90 minutes. But increasingly, cockroach coitus is going really, weirdly wrong Back in 1993, scientists working at North Carolina State University discovered a trait in the German cockroach, a species that...

Ascension Day, unfortunately, is not observed in a uniform manner across the United States. Catholics in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, New York, and New England will observe it on Thursday; the rest of the country observes it this Sunday. The First Reading and Psalm for this Solemnity are always Acts 1:1-11 and Psalm 47. Year C has the option to employ Hebrews 9:24-28; 10:19-23 instead of Ephesians 4:17-23 as the Second Reading (both are discussed below) and proclaims Luke 24:46-53 as the Gospel. This is an unusual Lord’s Day, in which the “action” of the Feast Day actually takes place in the...

Chasten Buttigieg is not only the husband of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, but he’s also a teacher. And as a teacher, he’s very familiar with school safety protocol. So if it’s all right with you, he’d like to offer his two cents on the idea of single points of entry and one-way exit doors in schools as means of reducing the likelihood and severity of school shootings: As someone who ran lockdown drills and worked on the school safety committee, a "one door" solution is an irresponsible and egregious recommendation far removed from reality. A shooter isn't going to stop...

The green is flowing in New Jersey. The Garden State raked in over $24 million dollars in recreational marijuana sales in the industry’s first month, according to the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission. Since a dozen dispensaries in New Jersey first opened for operation on April 21, recreational marijuana sales averaged nearly $5 million per week for a total of $24,201,875.38 from 212,433 transactions, NJ.com first reported. Jeff Brown, executive director for the CRC, said there is still room for substantial growth in the market as the commission approved an additional five dispensaries across the state.

Jimmy Dore does an outstanding presentation of the phony Russia hoax. It's succinct and to the point (even though it runs about 30 minutes.) This is a really good video to share with your normie friends. Dore is no Conservative, but he's open minded and has some credibility with the left.

The Crowder Crew took a trip to Livingston, Texas, to infiltrate Beto O'Rourke's Town Hall and see what all the "excitement" was about. What they observed was astonishing. What they heard was unbelievable. And Robert Francis "Beta" O'Rourke's campaign will never recover after this installment of Crowder Undercover

This week's massacre of 19 students and two teachers at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas reignited the debate between Republicans and Democrats on how best to prevent future mass murders. Democrats want to outlaw guns. Republicans want to harden the target zones and make it easier for private citizens to carry firearms. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blamed "Democrat opposition to two 2013 bills. One would have appropriated $300 million in federal grants to harden schools to make them safer, to make them more protected. The other directed the Department of Justice to prosecute and put in jail felons...

More than 6.3 million Ukrainians have fled their country since Russia first invaded in late February 2022. The European Union has welcomed Ukrainian refugees, allowing them to enter its 27 member countries without visas and live and work there for up to three years. Every day, Europeans have also opened their doors – and pockets – to host Ukrainians and help them find daycare, for example, and other services. But there is still an uncomfortable reality: Ukrainian refugees are also Russian President Vladimir Putin’s political pawns, intended to politically destabilize the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Many...

Deranged Texas killer Salvador Ramos had been trying to buy a gun for at least eight months — and openly chatted about his reputation as a likely school shooter in social media messages posted in the months before Tuesday’s attack, officials announced Friday. “Ramos asked his sister to help him buy a gun” as far back as Sept. 21, Texas Department of Public Safety director Col. Steven McCraw announced Friday as he detailed the killer’s online activity. Then Ramos — who legally bought the rifle he used after turning 18 last week — had numerous group chats on Instagram in...

Left-wing critics are demanding that HBO “cancel” Bill Maher after accusing the HBO “Real Time” host of delivering an anti-transgender monologue on last Friday’s show. David Kilmnick, who heads the nonprofit LGBT Network, wrote an article in Advocate magazine on Wednesday titled: “Bill Maher Has Gone Too Far With Anti-LGBTQ+ Comments.” Maher was blasted for saying that “we’re literally experimenting on children” by providing them with puberty blockers and other treatments aimed at facilitating gender transitions. He also said that transitioning was becoming “trendy.” Maher hit out at Chase Strangio, a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union, who cheered...

The shooter had thousands of dollars worth of weapons, an expensive Phone, nkew how to shoot (per the grandpa), etc. The school had teachers and kids from families directly or indirectly related to the border patrol. The "police" milled about, did nothing, and actively prevented concerned parents from saving their children. It took a border patrol "special agent" to neutralize the shooter. What are the chances the shooter had been influenced by the cartel to commit this act? Could there have been such a threat put out to families of cops by the cartel that would have compelled the cops...

On June 1, the Detroit Tigers will host a special “Pride Night” game dedicated to “celebrat[ing] our Pride community partners, friends, and families” at Comerica Park. It’s not the first time the team has hosted a Pride Night — it began hosting a “Pride Pack Day” in 2018, originally scheduled on June 26 to commemorate “the 4-year anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage and the 6-year anniversary of the decision declaring the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional in the case of Windsor v. United States,” Outsports reported. But what’s noticeable about this year’s event is that the...

Texas gubernatorial hopeful Beto O’Rourke’s emotional outburst during Wednesday’s press conference on the Uvalde School shooting has drawn conflicting responses from either side of the aisle even as he appeared to shift his own stance in the aftermath. O’Rourke interrupted Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s press conference, telling the state leadership that they "are doing nothing." Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin responded by calling O’Rourke a "sick son of a b---h" before the latter was escorted out of the auditorium.

Rome Newsroom, May 25, 2022 / 07:55 am Bishop Daniel Flores said on Wednesday that he was sick of hearing people say that “guns aren’t the problem” after a gunman killed at least 19 children and two teachers at a Texas elementary school. “We sacralize death’s instruments and then are surprised that death uses them,” the bishop of Brownsville, Texas, wrote on Twitter on May 25, the day after the shooting. “Don’t tell me that guns aren’t the problem, people are. I’m sick of hearing it. The darkness first takes our children who then kill our children, using the guns...

According to Cardinal Raymond Burke, Pope Francis must dismiss the German bishops from their position if they do not distance themselves from the errors of the Synodal Path which they initiated in 2019 and which continues to attack Catholic doctrine. Cardinal Burke does not beat around the bush. Faced with the fact that a certain number of bishops have either come out in favor of changes in the doctrine of the Church – e.g., regarding the evaluation of homosexuality, the celibacy of priests, or the ordination of women – or have not explicitly opposed such proposals within the framework of...
