Moscow, May 17, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has come up with an initiative to prohibit private clinics from performing the artificial termination of pregnancies. "Proposals being articulated by lawmakers right now, specifically on stopping the facilitation of abortions in private clinics, which would make statistical data more accurate and eradicate the encouragement to chase profits by terminating children's lives, seem to be important," Patriarch said when speaking during Parliamentary Meetings in Russia's Federation Council on Tuesday. He went on to call on lawmakers to show a braver approach to the protection of life, without paying...

TRENTON, NJ – Last week, in light of the leak of a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to turn abortion rights over to the states, Governor Phil Murphy doubled down on his commitment to keeping abortions legal in New Jersey. Murphy’s administration issued a swift statement to combat the federal court’s decision. “With the U.S. Supreme Court poised to overturn Roe v. Wade – a decision that would have significant consequences for reproductive rights throughout the country – Governor Phil Murphy announced renewed efforts to secure abortion rights and bolster access to reproductive health care in New Jersey,” Murphy...

US stock prices and President Biden’s approval rating continued to tank, as inflation swamped household income. Only 39% of Americans approve of Biden’s performance, and just 33% of Democrats think the country is heading in the right direction. That’s no surprise, given the nearly 40% collapse of retailers’ stock prices this year. The S&P 500 is teetering on the edge of a bear market – that is, a peak-to-trough decline of 20% or more. The Biden stimulus – compounding the errors of the Trump Administration – amounted to a Ponzi scheme that threw $6 trillion of spending power at US...

We cannot believe this has happened. We sent business correspondence to our local U.S. Social Security Administration office two weeks ago by certified mail, return receipt requested. The documents were received by the Office, as we received the green Cert Mail card in return verifying same. Included in the envelope we had sent to SSA was an official SSA form whose instructions were to return the form to the local SSA office. Along with the SSA form was a detailed cover letter, and documentation SSA requested confirming legal status. Ten days later, we received an envelope in the mail from...

Tim Anderson accused Josh Donaldson of making a racist comment on Saturday that nearly ignited a benches-clearing brawl, but the Yankees third baseman said he believes the White Sox shortstop took his words the wrong way. After the Yankees’ 7-5 victory at the Stadium, Anderson said Donaldson used the phrase, “What’s up, Jackie?” multiple times to him during the game. Donaldson’s response was that he has jokingly called Anderson “Jackie” (as in Jackie Robinson) in the past because the infielder referred to himself in 2019 as “today’s Jackie Robinson.” “He just made a disrespectful comment. He was trying to call...
