Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the end of the war will be "diplomatic."
"Before, I thought that it would be possible to end only with a dialogue... I thought that it would be a dialogue, that in this dialogue it would be possible to find answers to many questions and many decisions with the Russian side," he said in an interview with the ICTV broadcaster shown during the Saturday telethon.
Now, he said, "I understand that the ending will be diplomatic." "Now it's like a car – not a gasoline or electric car, neither a hybrid. That's why the war is so difficult and the victory will be very difficult. It will be bloody, in battle, but the ending will definitely be in diplomacy," Zelensky said.
"There are things that we will not be able to complete otherwise than at the negotiating table. We want to return everything, the Russian Federation wants not to give everything away," he said.
Surrender is diplomatic. Try it.
On another internet news site I read that negotiations would re-start at some level on Monday - for whatever that’s worth.

As the Russians keep rolling up land, diplomacy will look like a better and better option to Zelensky, REGARDLESS of what the Neocons here or the EU wants him to do.

NYT’s editorial staff is now suggesting that Biden and Zelensky give careful consideration to negotiating an agreement that cedes territory to Russia.
It also states that the U.S. cannot continue to supply money and weapons and chastised Biden for calling for regime change, Austin for saying they want to “weaken Russia” and Pelosi for promising that we would be with Ukraine until there was victory.
I assume the very pronounced change of heart is likely based on concerns that the fact Ukraine is losing will make the mid-terms even harder for the Dems.
I don’t know how Biden and Zelensky will feel; but it appears the NYT is surrendering.
