I use to call that kind of stuff "white wine rock", but "yacht rock" is awesome. It's like musical waterboarding to me, so...do the Eagles and Steely Dan make an appearance too? Also, the Tom Jackson-era Doobies were a great boogie band, until ruined by that white wine-sipping yachtsman Michael McDonald.

Great choices! I don't even know the names of the tracks on Last of the Mohicans, but I'm absolutely sure which piece you must be talking about. Absolutely gorgeous. And Ecstasy of Gold obviously is incredible.

For a song with lyrics, I've always thought This Woman's Work by Kate Bush, in She's Having a Baby, is fantastic. Rips the heart out of any guy who has been there for childbirth.
