Elon Musk called out an old Hillary Clinton tweet as a “hoax” Friday after a Twitter user flagged it for misleading disinformation and was ignored. The tweet, written Oct. 31, 2016 during Clinton’s failed presidential campaign, is a statement issued in response to a news report about an alleged secret server at Trump Tower that was being used to covertly communicate with Russia. “Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank,” Clinton wrote in the tweet alongside the statement issued by one of her then-top aides, Jake Sullivan. A Twitter user tagged...

Throughout history, many dictators have expressed their admiration for the cinematic medium. While some have it as a tool to spread propaganda, others have marvelled at the magic of the movies. According to many reports, Adolf Hitler was also a cinephile and one of the films he allegedly watched multiple times was directed by none other than Charlie Chaplin. In fact, many historians have discovered that Hitler’s idea about war was deeply informed by the cinematic medium since he mostly experienced it through newsreels and documentary clips that were shot on the battlefields. In addition to those, Hitler’s close associates...

Vladimir Putin's enemies are keeping a close eye on a bird in pointe shoes, because a broadcast of "Swan Lake" may reveal his demise. -snip- First, a bit of history about why so many historians and Eastern Europeans took to Twitter to pray for Swan Lake's swift appearance. To see dancing swans is, to use @asiktspolitruk's words, "the equivalent of white smoke from the Sistine Chapel's chimney in Rome announcing a new Pope." The broadcast would indicate that the end of Vladimir Putin was near. When Leonid Brezhnev died in 1982, state-run television broadcast a full-length Swan Lake in lieu...

Charges have been dropped against the teenage rapper accused of shooting an NYPD officer during a scuffle in the Bronx earlier this year, officials confirmed. The gun and assault case against Camrin Williams, a 16-year-old reputed gangbanger and rapper who goes by the stage name C Blu, “cannot be prosecuted,” the city Law Department said in a Friday statement, without elaborating. Williams had been facing the charges after allegedly shooting 27-year-old cop Kaseem Pennant in Belmont while he was on probation for a prior gun case in January.

Now protesters have expanded their demands, calling for more political freedom, an end to the Islamic Republic and the downfall of its leaders, according to witnesses and social media posts. Videos posted online showed demonstrators burned images of Iran's top authority, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and called for the return of Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of the toppled Shah of Iran. Footage on Twitter showed protests in dozens of provinces such as Ardabil, Khuzestan, Lorestan and Razavi Khorasan. Some state-affiliated media, meanwhile, said calm had been restored in the country. However, Protests continued on early Sunday in at...

SACRAMENTO - Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) released the following statement regarding San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J Cordileone's decision to deny Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) communion because she supports abortion access: "After supporting Prop 8 and refusing to get vaccinated, our right wing Archbishop is now attacking one of the most effective leaders in the history of our country, because she supports reproductive health and safe access to abortion. The Archbishop's refusal to give communion to Speaker Pelosi is shameful. He is deeply out of step with San Francisco and should be removed."

U.S.—The results of a CNN poll revealed that 52% of Americans are in favor of abolishing the nation's Democratic Republic in favor of a monarchy ruled by an Ultra MAGA King. Another 39%—mostly bureaucrats—are reportedly satisfied with the current system of government. The poll findings, released Thursday, have alarmed both Democrats and Republicans in government who are reportedly "shook" that citizens don't appreciate them. "I don't know why anyone would trade in an oppressive and corrupt totalitarian government for a monarchy ruled by divine right," said Rep Adam Schiff. "Frankly, I'm shocked people don't appreciate how much we lie to...

The less than month-old Disinformation Governance Board established by President Biden has been "put on hold" due to backlash against the idea that the Board reminded too many people of the "Ministry of Truth" in George Orwell's distopian novel 1984. Given the chance to continue on the payroll with no job responsibilities, Nina Jankowicz decided to resign, saying "there's no point in me staying on if I'm not going to be allowed to censor anyone's erroneous statements or beliefs." Presidential Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called this turn of events "tragic. We were putting together the most extensive and comprehensive suppression...

TheHill.com House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) said “the country is in danger of imploding” while weighing in on the Buffalo, N.Y., shooting and the mood of Black voters in a wide-ranging interview published Friday. “It’s just a mystery to me that we’ve become so tolerable of these kinds of incidents,” Clyburn told The Washington Post in an interview published in its Early 202 newsletter, referring to last weekend’s shooting in a predominantly Black neighborhood that left 10 people dead and three injured.

On Thursday – just hours after approving another $40 billion in US taxpayer dollars for Ukraine – the US Senate blocked a bipartisan $48 billion aid package for restaurants, gyms, and other small businesses that have been struggling in Biden’s post-lockdown economy. Presumably, they can’t launder that money as easily as shuffling it off to Ukraine, so American business owners get the shaft yet again from its traitorous elected officials. In other words, just another day in the DC Swamp… Needing 60 votes to move forward, the Senators killed the package with a 52-43 vote. Five Senators refrained from casting...

SAO PAULO (CNS) — A Catholic prelature in Brazil's Amazon has decreed that its parishes will not accept donations from any person or company that displaces minorities or damages the earth. Bishop José Ionilton Lisboa de Oliveira of Itacoatiara has prohibited parishes, pastoral communities, groups and movements linked to the prelature -- similar to a diocese — from receiving financial resources from those he says "damage the Amazon." "We decree, for an indefinite period, that in parishes, communities, pastorals, groups and movements of the Prelature of Itacoatiara, we will not receive financial resources, in currency or other goods, from politicians,...

New emails from the days following the rigged and stolen 2020 election reveal the Republican effort to guarantee election integrity, security, and transparency.
