Humbly request prayers for my wife, Connie. A few days ago she developed a terrible cough, and she went to the ER. An EKG and an MRI revealed fluid in her lungs and around her heart. The cardiologist diagnosed it as congestive heart failure. Her injection fraction was only 30. She's going to likely be out on disability for at least a few weeks and will have a long slog recuperating. She's currently comfortable, and getting Lasix, antibiotics, and potassium IV. I'd like some of my fellow Freepers to kindly pray along with me.

President Joe Biden is urging Congress to quickly pass Ukraine aid in a move that would prioritize assistance for Kyiv over new Covid relief funding for the U.S. "I call on Congress to pass the Ukrainian Supplemental funding bill immediately, and get it to my desk in the next few days," Biden said in a statement Monday. His decision to separate the two bills should help clear the way for congressional approval of nearly $40 billion in funding for Ukraine, but it leaves in limbo a $10 billion pandemic relief bill that Biden and Democrats have said was a top...

Chris Christie of New Jersey or someone else from the party’s traditionalist wing. In a crowded contest in which a field of free-spending Republicans competed for the Trump vote, the performance of the one serious contender who distanced...
