House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s leaked draft opinion set to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision “slapped women in the face.” Pelosi said, “I do think that it puts an urgency on what’s happening in the election. Two more- one or two more senators could sweep back the filibuster rule for this purpose, and then women would have a right to choose. This is about something so serious and so personal and so disrespectful of women. Here we are on Mother’s Day, a week where the...

One of Vladimir Putin's closest cronies claims Russia could destroy all NATO countries 'in half a hour'. Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Kremlin's space agency, Roscosmos, also admitted the strongman's aim is to defeat the 'enemy' West and expunge Ukraine from the map. 'NATO is waging a war against us,' said the former deputy premier of the 30-state Western military alliance. 'They didn't announce it, but that doesn't change anything. Now it's obvious to everyone.' He said: 'We are liberating Ukraine from NATO occupation and pushing the worst enemy away from our western borders.'

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel wouldn't enforce an "incredibly draconian and strict" abortion law that would take effect in the state if Roe v. Wade is repealed, she told NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday. (snip) "As attorney general, I have statewide jurisdiction. And I ran on a platform of understanding that likely during the course of my term, Roe v. Wade would be overturned," Nessel said.

That reflects a 3.2% increase in hourly compensation and a 7.5% decrease in productivity. Analysts polled by Refinitiv had projected a 5.4% decline in productivity and a 9.9% rise in labor costs. Thursday's data underscores the robust labor market, where competition for workers has pushed up...

he Kremlin denied Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett for Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's remark that Adolf Hitler may have had "Jewish blood." A Kremlin statement issued Thursday detailing a phone conversation between Putin and Bennett did not mention any apology. Additionally, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the leaders' talks were "exactly as disclosed" in the statement, The Cradle reported. The denial could intensify already strained tensions between Russia and Israel that stemmed from Lavrov's controversial remarks. The conflict may cause Russia to lose a key Middle East ally in Israel, which...

Just add a wig, some makeup and some extreme-Left promotions of child perversion and you've got a "production" fit for a communist-run country that's pushing sex-thinking on kids and blasting it all over social media, including YouTube. It's gender fluid programming of children's minds and then blasting out the "production" and conversion to trans-everything-thinking.

If you just followed news reports on Ukraine, you might think that the war has settled into a long, grinding and somewhat boring slog. You would be wrong. Things are actually getting more dangerous by the day. For starters, the longer this war goes on, the more opportunity for catastrophic miscalculations — and the raw material for that is piling up fast and furious. Take the two high-profile leaks from American officials this past week about U.S. involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war: First, The Times disclosed that “the United States has provided intelligence about Russian units that has allowed Ukrainians...

Antifa vandals hurled at least one Molotov cocktail into offices of an anti-abortion group in Wisconsin and scrawled a chilling message on the wall that read: 'If abortions aren't safe you aren't either.' The damage was discovered on Mother's Day morning when a passerby called police and reported seeing smoke coming from the headquarters of the anti-abortion group Wisconsin Family Action in Madison. The Antifa symbol - a capital 'A' inside a circle - was also scrawled on the wall, as well as the numbers 1312 - a code for the letters ACAB, which stand for 'All Cops Are Bastards'...

In February, the European Commission announced that it wanted to extend freedom of travel in the European Union during the pandemic with a digital green certificate, also known as the Covid passport, until July 1, 2023. Citizens can prove that they are fully vaccinated, recovered, or have a negative PCR test with such a certificate. During a debate in the European Union Parliament, Bulgarian MEP Angel Djambazki was very critical of the passport. The certificate is not practical and does not work because vaccinated and unvaccinated people get sick, exclaimed the leader. The certificate is destroying companies, especially small and...

Explanation: Most galaxies don't have any rings -- why does this galaxy have two? To begin, the bright band near NGC 1512's center is a nuclear ring, a ring that surrounds the galaxy center and glows brightly with recently formed stars. Most stars and accompanying gas and dust, however, orbit the galactic center in a ring much further out -- here seen near the image edge. This ring is called, counter-intuitively, the inner ring. If you look closely, you will see this the inner ring connects ends of a diffuse central bar that runs horizontally across the galaxy. These ring...

"The groomer doth protest too much, methinks!" – Queen Gertrude, in "Hamlet," by William Shakespeare (paraphrased) One of the first things I learned as a newly minted pro-family activist in the late 1980s was that the closer one hits the mark in stating truths unfavorable to the LGBT cause, the more vocal and violent is the activists' outrage. I noticed it first regarding public comments pointing out the obvious, factual association of AIDS with sodomy: extreme, rend-your-garments level over-reaction. I observed it again in response to my book "The Pink Swastika" thoroughly documenting the homosexual roots of the Nazi Party....

An outraged pro-choice protester sporting a one-piece bathing suit screamed 'I'm killing the babies' as she led a march of demonstrators targeting Catholic churches in New York City. 'God killed his son, why can’t I?' the protester, NYC-based performance artist Crackhead Barney, repeatedly screamed as she dangled a baby doll during a Saturday morning demonstration outside the Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral. A smaller group of pro-life activists assembled on the steps of the iconic Manhattan church, facing the abortion advocates, and prayed the rosary. They also sang the hymn Ave Maria. The demonstrations came amid a call for...

[Catholic Caucus] Pope to Students and Faculty of Sant’Anselmo, May 7, 2022: “Every reform creates resistance… All of these things scandalized closed-minded people” Today, the pope addressed the teachers and students of the Pontifical Liturgical Institute Sant’Anselmo (Italian original here), the think-tank of Traditionis Custodes and like-minded initiatives. He compares those who lamented Pius XII’s massacre of Holy Week to the Pharisees who rent their garments, and accuses lovers of the “sacred and great” Catholic tradition of weaponizing it against Church unity. His attacks on tradition are, as always, superficial, hypocritical, and judgmental, and his undying optimism for a...
