[Catholic Caucus] Our Pope Never Fails to DisappointI have never been inclined to papiolotry, as opposed to a great appreciation for the office created by Christ and its vast history, but if I had been, this kidney stone of a papacy would have cured me of that affliction.

The Ivy League university will establish the James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Program in Wealth Distribution, Inequality, and Social Policy. The program will allow Harvard researchers to “better understand and address the causes and consequences of wealth inequalities in different populations around the world,” the Kennedy School stated in a news release.

Top Democrats claim that nothing in America is more dangerous than white racism. As President Joe Biden said Oct. 21, “According to the United States intelligence community, domestic terrorism from white supremacists is the most lethal terrorist threat in the homeland.” “In the FBI’s view,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said June 15, “the top domestic violent-extremist threat comes from . . . those who advocate for the superiority of the white race.” House Armed Services Committee member Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) complained that the federal government insufficiently screens “servicemembers and other individuals with sensitive roles for white-supremacist and violent-extremist ties.” So...

Khulia Pringle would seem an unlikely critic of the local Minneapolis Federation of Teachers. The St. Paul native embarked on a teaching career in the hope of improving a school system that she saw as failing her daughter. By the time she finished her training in 2014, she had grown so disillusioned with the public school system that she took a job with an education reform group, helping to recruit and place hundreds of tutors in schools across the state. While she shares the union’s emphasis on pushing for higher pay and smaller classrooms, the self-described liberal education activist says...

Over the past three years, I can count the number of times I turned on any of the corporate media talking heads on one hand. It’s usually when there’s breaking news and it behooves me to see live coverage on the ground. Otherwise, I turn to independent media (like us) for the truth. The last few days I’ve been watching clips from corporate media talking heads, mostly sent to me as news tips or to make me chuckle because it’s really THAT bad. Responses in articles and on television to the Biden-Harris regime’s plummeting poll numbers is fun enough, but...

While no media have a good track record of outlining the conflict in Ukraine, retired Col. Douglas Macgregor has the most consistent perspective that reconciles what little factual information is visible with the reality on the ground. In this recent interview, Macgregor notes the Russian operation is currently focused on securing the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine, where fighting has been taking place since 2014. During an earlier interview on CNN, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy noted the largest and most experienced elements of the Ukrainian army are located in this region. According to Zelenskyy, approximately 44,000 Ukrainian troops are there; oddly, Zelenskyy...

I've never read the Bible. Hardly ever went to church so I have a problem with this. I didn't think anyone could make Sal Mineo walk in just a few minutes. Make the blind man see and bring Lazarus back to life? Come on. A thief steals a coat and Jesus tells the victim to offer more. Whatever happened to thou shall not steal? Here's what I'm getting at. Too many people want nothing more than to be led by a messiah. Walk on water and I'll follow you too. Doesn't mean I have to believe someone who claimed it...

Alyssa Milano – who has no shortage of questionable tweets that have been widely panned – uncorked yet another post on Twitter that was thoroughly trounced by many. The "Who's the Boss?" actress ticked off a generous number of Twitter users this weekend by claiming that fathers telling their sons to "take care of your mother" is misogynistic. On Thursday night, Milano tweeted: "Can we stop saying to our sons things like: 'take care of your mother while I’m gone.' This is insinuating that women can’t take care of ourselves. And it's bulls**t."

What a pathetic article from USA Today!COVID vaccines are not meant to prevent all infections, experts say. Americans need to reset their expectations.Adrianna Rodriguez, USA TODAYThe 45-year-old from Houston never left the house without his mask, he avoided indoor dining at all costs, and most important, he was fully vaccinated. But he still got sick.“I was surprised because I was taking so many precautions,” he said. It’s no longer unusual to hear of someone getting COVID-19 even though they’re fully vaccinated and boosted. Yet, many Americans are still shocked when it happens to them.It is essentially another attempt to blame the...

House Judiciary Committee Democratic staff are refusing to upload the contents of Hunter Biden’s recovered laptop in a searchable format into the congressional record, according to a new report. Representative Matt Gaetz (R., Fla.) first moved to enter the laptop — which the younger Biden allegedly left with a Delaware repair shop — during a March 29 hearing. Though the committee chairman, Representative Jerry Nadler (D., N.Y.), initially planned to object to the request, he allowed the laptop to be entered into the record. Now, staffers appointed by Nadler are saying they cannot upload the laptop due to technological limitations,...

For many years, I made my living writing TV shows for Disney. I was proud of my work, considering it a privilege to make kids laugh all over the world. But in light of Disney's disastrous embrace of pro-pedophilia policies, I'm glad that I grew disillusioned with kids' TV and walked away from the field.Every kids' TV writer knows that when crafting a story, you have to be careful about "modeling behavior." Whatever kids see, they imitate, so you should "model" positive traits in your scripts, particularly when writing for pre-schoolers. Imagine inserting a pint-size Larry David character in your...

SPRINGFIELD — Two sets of parents have filed a federal lawsuit against the Ludlow School Committee and school administrators over the district’s gender identity policies at Paul L. Baird Middle School. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court on Tuesday, and names the School Committee, interim superintendent Lisa Nemeth, former superintendent Todd Gazda, Baird Middle School principal Stacy Monette, school counselor Marie-Claire Foley and former librarian Jordan Funke. The lawsuit argues the school district is violating parents’ civil rights by allowing transgender or gender fluid students to adopt different names and pronouns without keeping their parents in the loop....

[Catholic Caucus] Can It Be A Syn Not To Love The Climate? There is increasing talk about “synodality” and average weather conditions. Now it is an exceptionally cringe and lazy joke, of the kind seen on the eccentric and less frequented corners of the internet, to remark that synodality begins with syn. Bad, but not, as we have seen, inapt. It may, at first, appear odd that synodality was chosen as the word to mask doomed attempts to change dogma in the Church, because synod means nothing more than meeting. That makes synodality mean something like meetingly, and so (the other one...

A former assistant principal at a Virginia elementary school has sued her former employer for allegedly maintaining a hostile work environment and subjecting her to racially charged harassment. Emily Mais, a former employee at Agnor-Hurt Elementary School in Albemarle County, Virginia, filed a lawsuit against the school district Thursday, accusing it of maintaining a racially hostile work environment against her after she expressed reservations regarding a series of teacher development training programs that incorporated critical race theory. The lawsuit was filed Thursday on Mais's behalf by the conservative legal group the Alliance Defending Freedom (snip) The complaint details how in...

An elected Democrat official has been accused of branding trans people 'men with t**ts', asking a Hawaiian woman if her grandparents had worked on plantations and flying into a rage when a staffer booked an economy plane ticket instead of business class. Washington state Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler, 78, was first accused of racism and verbally mistreating employees by members of his team last month when Northwest News Network reported a top staff had accused him of bullying him and antagonizing staff and stating that he was 'not fit to lead.' Several former and prospective staffers have come forward following...

Far-right wing website InfoWars on Sunday filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas in the face of multiple defamation lawsuits. Chapter 11 bankruptcy procedures put a hold on all civil litigation matters and allow companies to prepare turnaround plans while remaining operational. Alex Jones, founder of InfoWars, was found liable for damages in a trio of lawsuits last year filed after he falsely claimed that the 2012 Sandy Hook school massacre was a hoax. Jones claimed the shooting, in which 20 children and six school employees were shot dead...

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Democratic strategist Donna Brazile weighed in on the upcoming midterm elections. Brazile claimed that the GOP was “essentially running on fumes” from the “energy” of the so-called “big lie” of 2020. She argued that, on the other hand, Democrats “are running on the economy that’s roaring back” and “fighting inflation.” “All we have to do is wait over the next 37 days as 11 or 12 states hold their primaries. You have big primaries in Ohio and North Carolina, Pennsylvania where the former president has already tipped the scales and supported one candidate over another,”...

“‘Leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering’” (Matthew 5:24). No matter who is responsible for a severed relationship—and often both sides bear some guilt—it’s essential to reconcile before going to God in worship. Even if you have nothing against the other person and the fault lies entirely with them, you should do everything possible to settle things. You can’t change another’s heart attitude, but you should desire to close the gap between yourself and the other person and hold no grudge against him or her—then...
