A disgraced Florida youth pastor convicted of murdering and dismembering a 16-year-old boy he fostered has been sentenced to life in prison. Ronnie Hyde, 65, was convicted Friday in the June 1994 murder and dismemberment of Fred Paul Laster, whose torso was found behind a dumpster at a Lake City gas station. It took police two decades to identify the body as that of the teen. Hyde, who was 38 at the time of the murder, denied the charges against him, despite DNA evidence connecting him to the crime. 'I would never hurt him,' Hyde said during his testimony Thursday,...

Russia hadn’t lost a warship to an attack since World War II. Until last week. On Thursday, the Ukrainian navy announced it destroyed a Russian amphibious warship, the Saratov, that was conducting resupply missions in the Ukrainian port of Berdyansk. While the details are fuzzy, it's yet more proof that Russia’s war in Ukraine isn't going well. Following the invasion, Turkey invoked the 1936 Montreux Convention and denied entry to all foreign warships not previously based in the Black Sea. What’s there now, and perhaps what Russia can bring by canal from the Caspian Sea, is all the navy Russia...

Chinese musicians played the Ukrainian dance "Lasso", inspired by its performance by a Ukrainian fighter. Frankov resident Mishka Adamchak inspired Chinese musicians to play the pipe from the trenches. This was written on his Facebook page by the frankovsky musician, leader of the group "Coralli" Misha Adamchak, who now serves in the volunteer battalion "Hospitallers", reports censor. I am sure that this is a good sign – we are supported by representatives of the largest people in the world! I think it is absolutely not superfluous to accept such a powerful battalion into the ranks of the musical army of...

A WHO panel has recommended that member states consider using traditional Chinese medicine to help manage Covid-19, saying there is evidence that TCM is beneficial in some cases. The suggestion was contained in a report on a three-day meeting in February to look at the value of using TCM to treat Covid-19. The panel agreed that TCM was beneficial in reducing the risk of progression from mild-to-moderate cases to severe Covid-19. “Although the trials involved different settings, the data suggested that TCM was both safe and beneficial when combined with conventional antiviral medicine,” the panel said. It also suggested that...

A novel therapy has been found to reduce harmful plaque in arteries and change its composition so it is less likely to rupture and cause a heart attack, following a clinical trial. The HUYGENS study treated high-risk patients over a 12 month period and was successful in a number of ways by combining commonly used statins together with a cholesterol-lowering drug called Evolocumab, which is already available to patients. Using a new imaging method, researchers were able to view a change in the biology or composition of the harmful plaque in the arteries following treatment, not only reducing its size...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has regularly slammed those European and NATO leaders who refuse to accept all his demands since the Russian invasion against Ukraine began. However, Zelenskiy’s attack on Orbán during his address to the European Council members last Friday was exceptional. Was the Ukrainian president right? Is PM Orbán a close ally of President Putin who should decide whether or not he supports Ukraine in the war? Zelenskiy wants to see everybody on the front Ukraine is at war. Hundreds of thousands of their citizens are fighting against the Russian invaders. Russians are destroying their cities, killing their...

Over the past several months a worrying trend has emerged – people are dropping dead at an unprecedented clip, and it has little to do with Covid-19.In fact, the spike almost perfectly coincides with the rollout of the experimental mRNA Covid vaccines. As the Gateway Pundit reported last month, excess deaths in the US have skyrocketed across all age groups, especially among young people between the ages of 25 and 44. This particular group has experienced a record-shattering 84% increase in excess deaths, according to the latest data from the CDC.Unsurprisingly, this concerning trend isn’t just affecting the United States.Countries across...

Dr. Michelle Morse, the chief medical officer at New York City's Department of Health, has received sharp criticism for describing pregnant women differently along lines of race, choosing to call pregnant white women "birthing people" while referencing pregnant women of color as "mothers" in a late March tweet. Since the city's top doctor's March 23 tweet, a DOH spokesman called Morse's post an "oversight" and said "we apologize for inadvertently gendering Black and Puerto Rican birthing people," according to the New York Post. Morse had been sharing a number of tweets in which she advocated for increased allocation of goods...
