Instead of buying a new one, she said, Musk suggested that they bring over the mattress from her home instead. "Like, bro wouldn't even get a new mattress," she told the publication. "Bro does not live like a billionaire. Bro lives at times below the poverty line," Grimes said, per Vanity Fair. "To the point where I was like, can we not live in a very insecure $40,000 house? Where the neighbors, like, film us,...

But we know some of the later ones! The James Webb Space Telescope has a packed schedule for its first year of observations. (Image credit: ESA) In the first year of its scientific operations, the James Webb Space Telescope will study small galaxies orbiting the Milky Way, look for the oldest stars in the universe or peer inside mysterious remnants of an exploded star. Its very first science targets, however, remain top secret. The mighty James Webb Space Telescope recently aligned its mirrors and showed off the sharpness of its eyes on a random underwhelming star. But the world's science...

NASA was aware that discrimination against LGBTQ people took place in the agency under the leadership of 1960s administrator James Webb when it refused to remove the man's name from its flagship mission, new documents obtained by Nature reveal. In early 2021, a group of astronomers petitioned NASA to change the name of the space observatory of the century, the $10 billion James Webb...

The Pandora papers, leaked to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ)...suggest Zelenskiy is rather similar to his predecessors. The files reveal Zelenskiy participated in a sprawling network of offshore companies, co-owned with his longtime friends and TV business partners. They include Serhiy Shefir, who produced Zelensky’s hit shows, and Shefir’s older brother, Borys, who wrote the scripts. Another member of the consortium is Ivan Bakanov, a childhood friend. Bakanov was general director of Zelenskiy’s production studio, Kvartal 95. After winning power, Zelenskiy brought these close allies into government. Bakanov became head of Ukraine’s SBU security agency. Zelenskiy made Serhiy...

The readings for this upcoming Fourth Sunday of Lent open up to us a "whole new world," a different way of living, a form of life St. Paul calls "a new creation." The Fourth Sunday of Lent is known as "Laetare Sunday," from the Latin Introit of the Mass, "Laetare Jerusalem," "Rejoice, O Jerusalem" (Isaiah 66:10). This mid-point of Lent is traditionally a somewhat festive Sunday, to encourage the faithful to see "the light at the end of the tunnel," as more than half of the fasting and mortification of Lent is behind us. The use of festive rose-colored vestments...

Sex offender Wesley Hawkins is now in the corner of the judge who once sentenced him to jail as Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson undergoes her Supreme Court confirmation hearings. In 2013, Hawkins pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, a felony. Jackson sentenced him to three months in jail, far below the sentencing guidelines of eight to 10 years and below the prosecution’s call for a two-year sentence. The case has emerged as a major point of concern for Senate Republicans, who have noted that Jackson regularly offers lighter sentences to sex offenders than recommended in sentencing guidelines. Hawkins has...

I've said before that this entire regional conflict seems to be Stage Two of The Great Reset rollout. Now that we've heard the narratives, I'm even more convinced we're not being told the truth. I posted some thoughts on Twitter: I’ll go and say something unpopular that I’ve been considering for a while… What if Russia isn’t really doing as poorly in Ukraine as we’re being told? What if they want the world to think the war is going poorly in order to prolong the conflict and draw us in? I have a hard time believing Ukraine and their 70...

President Joe Biden stunned pundits and politicians on Saturday when, at the end of a fiery speech in Warsaw, he seemed to endorse regime change in Russia, saying Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power.” His speech caused a huge reaction, particularly among members of the media and public figures in areas of foreign policy and politics. That included a lot of people on social media comparing his commentary to Ronald Reagan’s historic “Tear Down This Wall” speech in Berlin in June of 1987.

Tom Brady can’t keep a secret very long. Brady decided to unretire and return to quarterback the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the same day that he broke his own news on Twitter, and he gave his social-media team short notice to craft the message that reverberated through the sports world on March 13. “Once I made the decision, I knew I just wanted to get it out and move on to get ready for the season,” Brady told FoxSports.com. “So, I FaceTimed the guys to let them know I was coming back, and we discussed how best to put it...

Recently, the Akron Roundtable of Ohio invited me to give a presentation on the issue of election integrity as part of a recurring series it calls “Point/Counterpoint.” As I told the audience, the sponsors of the Roundtable, which includes the Kiwanis Club, the Greater Akron Chamber, and the Akron Beacon Journal, were to be applauded for upholding the great American tradition of having civil, even vigorous discussions on important issues from individuals with differing points of view, a tradition that has virtually disappeared in our communities and college campuses. The progressive, radical left, however, has no interest in upholding this...

Her only hope for full recovery is finding a perfect donor through a national system, and the Be the Match registry has stepped in to help lead donor registration drives, including one in Santa Monica on Saturday. “It takes about five minutes of a person’s time. They fill out some information on their phone … and a swab kit will be mailed to them,” said Chris Cheng with Be the Match. Chen said for patients like Hsu, their only chance of beating this diagnosis and surviving is with the help of the public, as there’s only about a 47% chance...
