Google (GOOG, GOOGL) recently revealed a pilot program that will allow Spotify (SPOT) users to circumvent Google Play’s billing system. Spotify is among the companies that have publicly fought against Google and Apple’s hold on their respective app stores. Apple takes a 30% commission on app and in-app purchases for larger developers, while Google Play takes either a 30% or 15% commission, depending on a variety of factors. This seems like a small but substantial turning point for critics, but it’s unlikely the move indicates that Google is ready to move on, Anurag Rana, Bloomberg Intelligence Senior Software and IT...

“A Prodigal Son, a Prodigal Father, and a Pharisaical Brother” (Luke 15:1-3, 11-32) In our text today from Luke 15, the scribes and Pharisees are tut-tutting Jesus because he was hanging around with tax collectors and other obvious sinners. And he was not only welcoming them, Jesus was even having meals with them, table fellowship. “This man receives sinners and eats with them,” the scribes and Pharisees grumble--not even using Jesus’ name, just calling him “this man,” with a sneer in their voice. Yeah, this was too much for these pious and respectable religious leaders. They figured a true servant...

Dr. Scott Atlas, former medical advisor to the Trump administration, lamented the damage caused by Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdowns. He also denounced the globalist-backed medical tyrants responsible for these draconian measures. Atlas gave a presentation about the disastrous effects of COVID-19 policies on March 23 to students of Michigan State University. He referenced several studies that revealed the full extent of the damage caused by lockdowns. These include excess deaths, severe mental health issues and lasting economic damage to the lower echelons of society. Atlas also pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic drew a clear line among those brainwashed and...

Longtime NFL official Wayne Mackie died unexpectedly Thursday night in Florida. He was 62. Mackie, a Brooklyn native and Colgate graduate, was described by those who knew him as a “New Yorker through and through.” He worked a 20-year career at New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development, serving as director of operations and inspecting homes to make sure they met residential code. After officiating college football and amateur basketball, Mackie entered the NFL as a head linesman in 2007 and quickly graded out among the best of his peers. Mackie’s consistency over a 10-year on-field career was...

The human body has an amazing system of cell surface recognition molecules called the major histocompatibility complex (MHC), which is designed to allow our immune cells to recognize our own healthy cells from pathogens like bacteria or other invading micro-organisms. With the genetic vaccines, particularly mRNA, for the first-time human cells are forced to produce a highly abnormal, pathogenic Spike protein. The body reacts to this almost immediately with an attack on any cell that has taken up mRNA and expressing the Spike protein. In this week’s show, we have Dr. Panagis Polykretis from Florence, Italy, who explains how this...

“You will own nothing, and you will be happy.” The mantra of the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution for the globalist elites at the World Economic Forum has always been a challenging concept for most Americans to fully grasp. Our nation was built on the precepts of freedom, capitalism, and property ownership, so when the WEF’s mantra creeps into a conversation it is often met by scowls and consternation. Well, not everyone balks. Some fall in line like good little lemmings. Neo-Marxists in America adopted the WEF’s slogan faster than the Che Guevara t-shirts they used to love. Those were replaced...

Removing Russian banks from SWIFT but leaving the energy intact so Europe has power, was so brilliant they obviously never played chess. Putin just put Biden’s king in check by ordering Europe to pay for gas now in Rubles. That will provide support for the Ruble, and undermine Europe and its Euro as well as the dollar in the long run.

he 18-year-old pedophile at the center of Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson's Senate hearing said he was shocked to see his name in the news, but admitted what he did was 'monstrous.' Wesley Hawkins, now 27, was scurrying around D.C. looking for a new job while Senate members were discussing his case at length in a nationally televised SCOTUS hearing, unbeknownst to him. He was aware that Jackson, 51 - the judge who had sentenced him to three months in jail and 10 years on the sex offender registry for child pornography in 2013 - was before Congress as...

A South Carolina mom-of-three had both arms amputated to the shoulder, lost part of her colon and is fighting for her life after she was attacked by three pit bulls on Monday. Kyleen Waltman, 38, was mauled by the animals when she was walking home on Ball Road, a dirt and gravel path lined with trees, around 10:30 a.m. on Monday in Honea Path, about 80 miles northwest of Columbia. 'She was walking home from her boyfriend’s house to her momma’s, and as far as I know, the dogs just jumped on her and you can actually see in the...

@business JUST IN: President Joe Biden called for regime change in Russia, saying in a speech in Poland that Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power” after the Ukraine invasion

Some people are climate change skeptics, and others are climate change skeptics with extreme prejudice. It's probably safe to count Real Money Columnist Jim Collins among the later. "In my world, humans are killing each other, not the planet," Collins wrote recently on Real Money. "And the insane 'green' strategies of its leaders, especially in Europe, serve to enrich the lunatic who is doing the killing,” he added.Collins argues that investing in big tech now requires that investors believe Putin is 'just kidding,' in Ukraine, that Fed Chief Jerome Powell and colleagues are 'all over' the inflation problem and "Not...

President Joe Biden promised during his campaign that he would allow “no more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends, number one.” And since taking office, his administration has implemented policies, oftentimes under the radar, that have made life more difficult for the domestic oil and gas industry and led to increased foreign — including Russian — imports. In many ways, he’s been following in the footsteps of blue-state Democrats, whose policies began undermining domestic energy production long before Russian president Vladimir Putin decided to invade...

Senator Rand Paul is currently holding up a popular Russian sanctions bill in the Senate. Why? For the same reason Congressman Thomas Massie voted against the House version earlier this month—the current language is vague enough that it could give presidents virtually unlimited sanctioning power. Paul thinks giving presidents that much unilateral power is a “terrible idea,” whether it was Donald Trump in the past or today, President Joe Biden. “Many on the other side had arguments with the previous president and they worried about him having unlimited power,” Paul said on the Senate floor on Thursday. “So they want...
