A federal judge has ordered the Justice Department to produce internal records related to its decision to prosecute Steve Bannon, a win for the former Trump adviser, who maintains that he had a sound legal basis for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the House’s Jan. 6 select committee. U.S. District Court Judge Carl Nichols said Bannon’s team should be provided with Justice Department “statements or writings” that square the decision to charge Bannon with contempt of Congress with long-standing department legal opinions that say former presidential advisers are largely immune from congressional subpoenas. Prosecutors had argued during a...

Joe Biden is a living, breathing head of lettuce. The country knows it. Putin knows it. Xi knows it. Even his wife knows that he’s an empty suit. The media is supposed to be the watchdog but with few exceptions, it doesn’t cover him; it covers for him, picking up the droppings he leaves. The media makes unending excuses for his incoherence, blithering nonsense, and feckless policies. Why employ TikTokers when you have compliant media? Atlantic staff writer Franklin Foer wrote the below, and for some reason didn’t immediately burst into flames. Credit where credit is due: It’s hard to...

A comprehensive report about the ongoing federal probe into Hunter Biden’s tax filings published by the New York Times on Wednesday night confirmed the existence of the first son’s infamous laptop. In October 2020, The Post exclusively reported on the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop that he ditched at a Delaware repair shop in April 2019. The laptop’s hard drive contained a trove of emails, text messages, photos and financial documents between Hunter Biden, his family and business associates — detailing how the president’s son used his political leverage in his overseas business dealings. The repair shop owner reported the...

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has garnered much praise over the past few weeks for his strong leading of the Ukrainians amid invasion from Russia and his refusal to go into hiding despite Russian assassination attempts. The now seemingly famous line is, “I need Ammunition, not a ride.” Ukraine is in great need of support. Russia is mercilessly attacking them under the dark and scheming leadership of an emboldened Vladimir Putin bent on war. Respect for Zelenskyy’s actions was and is warranted. As a Christian, seeing a leader take a hands-on approach in war has brought to mind Biblical accounts of kings accompanying...

When you see corporate outlets rushing us into war in Europe with sensational stories and flat-out dishonest polling, think twice. The night of Feb. 15, 1898, the U.S. battleship Maine sat at anchor in Havana, Cuba. A few minutes after 9 p.m., the nightly ritual of “Taps” from Fifer C. H. Newton’s bugle descended over the ship. Some half an hour later, the forward end of the ship rose suddenly above the water. “Along the pier, passersby could hear a rumbling explosion,” detailed author Tom Miller. “Within seconds, another eruption — this one deafening and massive — splintered the bow,...

Lauro Cavazos, the United States secretary of education from 1988 to 1990 under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, and the nation’s first Latino to serve in a cabinet post, died on Tuesday. He was 95. Texas Tech University, where he served as president, confirmed his death. A Texas ranch foreman’s son and a sixth-generation Mexican American, Dr. Cavazos, after an academic career, was Reagan’s education secretary for only four months before being reappointed by Bush, the professed “education president,” to his cabinet in early 1989.

A New York state college invited a convicted cop-killer to speak about race and justice while describing him as a former "political prisoner" and "loving human being" after his role in the ambush murders of two NYPD officers and another shootout with police in California. The College at Brockport, State University of New York, is hosting an event titled, "History of Black Resistance, U.S. Political Prisoners & Genocide: A Conversation with Jalil Muntaqim." Muntaqim, formerly known as Anthony Bottom, was among a group of Black Liberation Army radicals who assassinated two New York City police officers in 1971, Waverly Jones...

Swedish farmers may be forced to reduce their harvests by as much as half due to a shortage of manure and fertilizers caused by the conflict in Ukraine and associated sanctions war. Sweden, which is highly dependent on the import of manure since production all but ceased in the 2000s, could be facing major agricultural issues due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, as Sweden imports between 15 to 20 per cent of its manure from Russia. Russia is also an important source of phosphorus and potassium, key ingredients in the production of fertilizers, and with sanctions and supply...

---SNIP--- Needless to say, this is not the “moment of Kamala Harris’ arrival” that CNN’s Chris Cillizza was thirsting for. Thankfully, the disastrous trip is over but unfortunately, that means she’s back here in the United States further making a mockery of the office of the Vice President with the flubs and disjointed statements still freely flowing. Though it’s depressing to think about the fact that we will have to endure roughly at least two and a half more years of this, one good thing to come out of the various KamalaSpeak debacles (and there have been MANY) is the...

The traditional St. Patrick’s Day greening of the Chicago river resumed this year, after being on cootie hiatus for the past 2 years.Aside from the past two, Chicago’s river has been died green (ironically, with orange dye) every year since 1962 when Major Daley the First made it a thing. I attended the parade and festivities several times in my yute; it was a fine city in those days. But speaking of orange, I found this little gem yesterday: via What IrksOr actually Team Green (The Biden Plan for a Clean Energy Revolution and Environmental Justice). As the man said...

The Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines are mass murder weapons, deadlier than guns, cannons and tanks combined. This surfaced after an analysis of figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) database revealed that 61,000 people, supposedly in the prime of their life, ages 25-44, died of vaccine-related causes in the U.S. in the fall and winter of 2021. Edward Dowd, a former BlackRock portfolio manager, made the appalling revelation during the March 10 episode of “The Alex Jones Show.” VIDEO AT LINK................. According to Dowd, an investment adviser on Wall Street, an insurance industry expert who is part...

Well, Powell and The Fed Gang failed to tackle inflation with its 25 basis point increase in their target rate. The result? Inflation is still roaring and REAL Treasury yields remain NEGATIVE (nominal Treasury yields – inflation). In fact, the US Treasury 10-year yield hovering around 0% when Biden first became President, then the inflation kraken was unleashed leading to progressively declining 10-year Treasury yields. As on late night, the REAL 10-year Treasury yield is -5.71%. REAL mortgage rates (Bankrate 30Y rate – inflation) were positive at the beginning of the Biden Administration, but have sunk to -3.40%. With negative...

How the Chinese Communist Party Enslaved One Billion People With Their ConsentWhat Americans Need to Learn from the ChineseI grew up in China during the Cultural Revolution. Back then, we needed permission from the government for every aspect of life: How much food we could have. (For my family, it was one pound of meat per person per month, and we were the lucky ones.) Where we could live. To which school we could go. Where we could work. When we could get married. When we could have children. How many children we could have - only one per couple....

Russia began the war in Ukraine with the world’s largest tank force, but the losses it has suffered reveal its weaknesses on the modern battlefield. Moscow’s forces have lost more than 230 of the heavily armored tracked vehicles since they invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, according to Oryx Blog, an open-source site that tracks military-equipment losses. Many were destroyed. Others were abandoned, captured or damaged, Oryx says.

In an interview on CNBC’s “The Exchange,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) blamed the coronavirus pandemic, the oil industry, and the meat industry for the record-high inflation in the United States. Warren argued COVID primarily affected the supply chain and shifted the demand curve but also accused companies of increasing costs on top of the rising costs in an effort to generate additional profit.
