WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin on Sunday endorsed Republican colleague Lisa Murkowski for reelection, crossing party lines to back the incumbent from Alaska who faces a primary challenger supported by former President Donald Trump. The conservative West Virginia lawmaker said he has teamed well with Murkowski in the 50-50 Senate to build bipartisan support for legislation such as President Joe Biden’s infrastructure law. He said Alaska and the Senate are well-served with her in office. “It’s hypocritical to basically work with a person day in and day out and then, when they’re in cycle, you’re supposed to be...

For four years, Mike Pence served as the loyal vice president to then-President Donald Trump. Everything changed on Jan. 6, 2021, as right-wing extremists – including some chanting "hang Mike Pence" - stormed the U.S. Capitol aiming to upend congressional certification of President Biden’s Electoral College victory that was overseen by Pence. In the year since the end of the Trump administration, the former president and vice president have further drifted apart, with Pence acknowledging recently in a Fox News interview that he had not spoken with Trump since last summer.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel issued an apology after claiming that unvaxxed children are at risk of contracting a "serious condition" from the omicron variant of the coronavirus during an MSNBC interview Wednesday. "With the omicron variant, kids are either going to get the vaccine or they’re likely to get a serious condition of omicron," Emanuel said on "Andrea Mitchell Reports." "Having omicron with the vaccine is almost invariably going to be better and safer for children. I am confused about parents' attitudes. Five and above seems like a no-brainer. Two to five, I understand some hesitancy. Two and under with the...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Feb. 4 outlined an expected change to the COVID-19 vaccine schedule for people with weak immune systems and signaled that a different alteration is coming for the general population to try to cut the number of post-vaccination heart inflammation cases. The CDC told its vaccine advisory panel that it is planning to adjust guidance for people with compromised immune systems, a group that doesn’t respond as well to vaccines as the general population and is the only population that is advised to get four shots of the Moderna or Pfizer jabs, or...

Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) said on Sunday that a Republican National Committee (RNC) resolution that noted “legitimate political discourse” on Jan. 6 was a mistake. “First of all, they say that part of the reason for the resolution is they want to keep the focus on Joe Biden and the failures of the Democratic administration,” Christie told host Martha Raddatz on ABC's "This Week." “Well, how did that work for you? All anybody is talking about this weekend is this resolution rather than talking about the failures of the Biden administration.”

When future historians seek to pinpoint exactly when it was that the Republican Party stopped being a legitimate political entity promoting a coherent set of principles and was transformed fully into a cult of personality organized around a would-be autocrat, Feb. 4, 2022, might be in contention. That date — last Friday — was when the Republican National Committee formally censured two Republican House members, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, for clinging to genuine conservative ideals while refusing to promote the toxic populism and contempt for democracy that now defines their party. The RNC’s unprecedented sanction against both of them...

Marc Short, former chief of staff for Vice President Mike Pence, said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that at the end of his presidency, the advisers to Donald Trump were “basically snake-oil salesmen.” Anchor Chuck Todd said, “I want to go back to the time of January 6. You guys were under a lot of pressure. When did you conclude that all of the potential allegations that were out there that they were baseless?”

Former National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, was “illegitimate political discourse because it was an assault on the first branch of government.” The Republican National Committee on Friday voted to censure Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) with a resolution calling into question their participation on the January 6 Select Committee.

Another forum I frequent has presented this link regarding Covid19 etc. Admittedly, my basic physiology education is far exceeded by all of this detail. Has this been circulated/ digested/ discussed by FR somewhere? I am interested learning abd this is very detailed. Can someone distill it down to the basics? Regards

The following is a news analysis and commentary. By now, most people are familiar with the corporate and political interests that have taken hold of information through self-proclaimed "fact checks," and the one-sided censorship policies of Big Tech, often resulting in suppression of accurate information and promotion of false information. Finally, a medical authority is considering suing over the potentially dangerous practices. The case at hand involves the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and an impressive investigative article by journalist Paul Thacker, published last November. The article was entitled, "Revelations of poor practices at a contract research company helping to carry...

People don’t want outsiders reading their private messages —not their physical mail, not their texts, not their DMs, nothing. It’s a clear and obvious point, but one place it doesn’t seem to have reached is the U.S. Senate. A group of lawmakers led by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) have re-introduced the EARN IT Act, an incredibly unpopular bill from 2020 that was dropped in the face of overwhelming opposition. Let’s be clear: the new EARN IT Act would pave the way for a massive new surveillance system, run by private companies, that would roll back...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) warned US athletes "to keep their mouths shut while they're in Beijing. The Chinese government is ruthless. There is no retaliation so terrible that it would not dare to inflict it on whoever they feel is most vulnerable to pressure." "I know the athletes are young and strong," Pelosi observed. "They are their physical peak and cannot imagine having to knuckle under to a brutal regime. But they need to remember that accidents can happen. Things can go wrong, and injustices could be committed." One of the potential injustices that Pelosi suggested might be particularly...

The new measures announced by the chief of Ottawa police against truck convoy protesters are those used by oppressive regimes around the world, says a lawyer representing organizers of the Freedom Convoy protesting COVID-19 mandates in Ottawa. “He effectively announced that he is going to be taking away Canadians’ charter right of peaceful assembly and freedom of expression,” Keith Wilson, a lawyer with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), said in a video on Feb. 4. Peter Sloly, chief of the Ottawa Police Service (OPS), said in a Feb. 4 press conference that police will be implementing a “surge...

...Team USA had once again sent a squad of its top sliders to go for gold in the bobsled competitions. Once again, they came home without a whiff of a podium. Clearly, things had to change. Between 1984 and the mid ‘90s, Bodine had risen through the ranks in NASCAR, and through his career racked up 565 starts, 37 poles and 18 wins. That included a win at the famed Daytona 500. No surprise he thought he could teach the American team a thing or two about winning races. “He said that he wanted to help us out, so he...

Christian crowdfunding site GiveSendGo opened a campaign Friday for the Freedom Convoy truckers demonstrating in Ottawa, Canada, raising more than $2 million by Saturday night. The new campaign opened after GoFundMe canceled the truckers’ first fundraiser, which had raised around $10 million. By 9 a.m. Sunday morning, the GiveSendGo campaign had netted $2.4 million of the new $16 million goal. “We’ve decided to team up with an organization called GiveSendGo, which is going to enable us to get donations into the hands of truckers much much quicker,” said Tamara Lich, an organizer with Freedom Convoy 2022. GoFundMe announced Saturday that...

The Clark County School District has confirmed that they are aware of the video that we posted earlier today of a girl being brutally beaten unconscious while students and teachers watched and even laughed in the background. Sadly, as usual CCSD seems more concerned with the video getting out and parents seeing what actually happens inside these schools than stopping the daily violence, riots, stabbings and assaults inside Las Vegas Schools. Warning the Video is Extremely Graphic! This would have been covered up just like the other daily assaults, stabbings & riots inside CCSD schools. Sad that they seem more...
