WASHINGTON (AP) — Moderna announced Monday that U.S. health regulators granted full approval to its COVID-19 vaccine, a shot that’s been given to tens of millions of Americans since its emergency authorization over a year ago. The action by the Food and Drug Administration means the agency has completed the same rigorous, time-consuming review of Moderna’s shot as dozens of other long-established vaccines. The decision was bolstered by real-world evidence from the more than 200 million doses administered in the U.S. since the FDA cleared the shot in December 2020. The FDA granted full approval of Pfizer’s vaccine last August....

Yet another example of the extreme centralisation of the wealth and power on Earth has surfaced in the case of Neil Young's 'spat' with Spotify as he attempted to have them censor Joe Rogan and free speech on the COVID19 topic. Turns out Pfizer may have had a direct hand in the decision for Young to say what he has said - how ironic for such a 'rebel'. Selling out and being the complete opposite of what you claim to be is nothing new - many of Earth's most prominent characters have, in truth, fit into this category in important...

We've always pushed for General Motors to succeed with EVs. In fact, if you know anything about InsideEVs' history, you know that we got our start due in part to a loyal group of Chevrolet Volt owners, and several of us still own GM EVs. That said, GM has been talking up its massive EV future for years, though it doesn't yet have a whole lot to show. According to CEO Mary Barra, that's all about to come to an end, and rather quickly. General Motors has big plans to invest a ton of money into the segment. Just last...

Meet Donald Trump, the constitutional scholar. The twice-impeached former president is claiming that the bipartisan effort to reform the Electoral Count Act of 1887 proves that ex-Vice President Mike Pence had the legal right to overturn the results of the 2020 election that Trump lost. “If the Vice President (Mike Pence) had “absolutely no right” to change the Presidential Election results in the Senate ... how come the Democrats and RINO Republicans are desperately trying to pass legislation that will not allow the Vice President to change the results of the election?” Trump asked. Without providing any facts or legal...

REYNOSA, Mexico (AP) — A revived Trump-era policy to make asylum-seekers wait in Mexico for hearings in U.S. court is reviled by immigration advocates and repudiated by the Biden administration, which acted under a judge’s order. Asylum hopeful Alexander Sánchez of Venezuela has a more favorable view. “There is no other way to cross legally and, for that reason, I think it’s good,” he said at a migrant shelter in Reynosa, a Mexican border city where he has been living for nine months with his wife and their 5-year-old daughter. The Biden administration has declined to say how many asylum-seekers...

Alumni have been making their voices heard over the past few months. After seeing the alarming direction that their alma maters are taking, alumni at institutions such as Davidson College, the University of Virginia, and Washington & Lee have decided to unite around the principles of free speech, academic freedom, and viewpoint diversity. These alumni groups aren’t working in isolation, they are part of a national organization called the Alumni Free Speech Alliance (AFSA). UNC-Chapel Hill is the latest group to join AFSA. The UNC Free Speech Alliance is an alumni-led, independent organization dedicated to free speech, diversity of opinion,...

The first congressional candidate in history to be banned from virtually all social media writes a compelling tale of modern American politics.. That’s not appropriate here!” chided an audibly nervous Minnesota congressman Tom Emmer, 60, at a recent National Republican Congressional Committee donor retreat in Key Biscayne, Florida. Emmer’s composure faltered when he was asked from the floor why a selection of 10 congressional seats targeted in the 2022 midterm elections did not include any of those held by the 10 Republican representatives who voted to impeach President Trump in 2021, seven of whom are still delusional enough to seek...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden is hosting the ruling leader of Qatar at the White House on Monday as he looks for the gas-rich nation to step up once again to help the West as it faces the prospect of a European energy crunch if Russia invades Ukraine. Qatar is already producing at full capacity with much of its supply under contract to Asia. Even if some Pacific allies of the U.S. — including India, Japan and South Korea — are persuaded to divert some LNG orders it has contracted to Europe, it will only have a small impact...

Mike rants about Canadian Government while waiting for the convoy to pass his location in Saskatchewan. So Mike waited hours and hours for the convoy to show up and it was only the first leg. The second longer leg of the convoy was reported to be around the 75km in length. Either way, it's great to see Canadians unvaxed and fully vaxed standing together in protest of the never ending mandates. Keeping in mind that Canada is over 83% fully vaxed. * The protests started with the trucker mandate that was being implemented but very quickly changed to more of...

A same-sex penguin couple has become foster parents to a newborn hatchling in a first for an upstate New York zoo. Humboldt penguins Elmer and Lima first got together this past mating season, and built a nest together in the fall, which they have both defended from incoming predators. Their devotion to each other led officials at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo to test how the two would be as parents, using a dummy egg, before letting them take care of a fertilized egg of their own. Before giving the couple an egg of their own, zoo officials tested Elmer and...

All fans at SoFi stadium on Sunday were supposed to wear N95s. But, um, these fans weren’t. One is an immunocompromised celebrity. Another is a cerebral compromised governor. Meanwhile, 5 year olds are forced to mask all day at school.

Just got one of those texts about a suspicious Amazon purchase - which of course is not actually Amazon. The scam goes, you call the number, their cyber team will "help" you clear the charge. All you need to do is install this app that allows their team to remote control your computer or phone and they'll clear things right up. I don't know if it's because I had a fun weekend, a good night's sleep last night, or just 'cause it is Monday... I'm in the mood to mess with these people some. Sometime today I'm going to grab...

On the cusp of the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States is battling back the biggest surge of the virus yet with the omicron variant. Cases, even while receding in some places, are near record levels. And daily deaths, while lower than the peak of last winter, are still averaging more than 2,000 nationwide. 2022 could be the year COVID becomes an endemic disease, meaning it is always circulating within the population but at low rates or causing just seasonal outbreaks. U.S. can get "sufficient control" over COVID-19 so it "does not disrupt us in society, does...
