New findings suggest that the body may mistakenly attack itself months after contracting even mild coronavirus infection, adding to the research surrounding long-haul COVID-19. The study, published in the the Journal of Translational Medicine, found that among 177 health care workers who had recovered from COVID-19, all had persistent autoantibodies months after infection, including some which can cause injury to organs and tissues....

President Biden reassured Americans Tuesday that there was reason to be optimistic about “2020” — mistakenly saying the wrong year four days into 2022. Biden’s post-New Year’s gaffe came as the president urged people to keep wearing masks and get vaccinated for COVID-19 as the Omicron variant causes record-high numbers of infections. “There’s a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020. But for God’s sake, please take advantage of what is available,” the president said. Biden’s political foes often claim he’s going senile and former President Donald Trump accused Biden of being “mentally shot” during the 2020 campaign. Biden’s...

The True the Vote evidence reportedly includes phone data correlated with video that shows individuals dropping ballots at 5,662 ballot drops...

Old: If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime. New: If you can’t do the time, Alvin Bragg will be there for you. That much just became clear, as the newly minted Manhattan DA issued marching orders to his hundreds of assistants and support staff. “Let’s do our very best to keep people out of jail, kids. And let’s really, really not sweat the small stuff.” OK, Bragg didn’t actually say that — but it pretty faithfully paraphrases the guts of a staff memo Bragg issued Monday, the first business day of his four-year term. Specifically, Bragg says...

A top World Health Organization (WHO) official said on Tuesday that evidence is growing that shows the Omicron variant of the CCP virus is less severe compared to previous variants due to the disease affecting the upper respiratory tract.“We are seeing more and more studies pointing out that Omicron is infecting the upper part of the body. Unlike other ones, the lungs, who would be causing severe pneumonia,” WHO Incident Manager Abdi Mahamud said during a news conference in Geneva.Mahamud’s remark on the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus variant having a reduced risk of severe disease and death also echoes...

Taiwan’s government is sharing cocktail recipes with the public after it reportedly bought 20,400 bottles of Lithuanian rum bound for China amid a row between Vilnius and Beijing. The state-owned Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor (TTL) said it made the purchase in December to support Lithuania after learning the shipment was going to be blocked by Chinese authorities. “TTL stood up at the right time, purchased the rum and brought it to Taiwan,” the company said in a statement reported by the South China Morning Post. “Lithuania supports us and we support Lithuania – TTL calls for a toast to that.”...

While the Omicron variant of the the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus seems to be causing less severe disease than the Delta variant, it’s still landing some people in hospitals, highlighting the need for effective treatment before cases progress to that stage, a frontline doctor says.Dr. Syed Haider has treated more than 4,000 COVID-19-positive patients so far during the pandemic. Just five ended up going to a hospital, and none have died. The doctor said his preferred treatments include many off-label medications along with vitamins and supplements.“Vitamin D is really important, ivermectin is important, fluvoxamine, hydroxychloroquine also works, it’s just a...

Pet owners around the globe are being warned that their frisky felines make also quite effective firestarters, as a new safety review revealed that cats have been responsible for more than 100 house fires in South Korea over the past three years. The Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Department reported on Thursday that they’d counted a total of 107 incidents of residential cat arson occurring between January 2019 and November 2021... Experts believe cats most likely prompted the fires to spread by switching on electric burners as they wantonly traipsed over touch-sensitive buttons on the surface of a hotplate. Left...

A Danish study of nearly 12,000 households has discovered that Omicron spreads faster than Delta among those who are fully vaccinated, and even higher between those who have received booster shots, demonstrating strong evidence of the variant’s immune evasiveness. The Omicron variant was found to evade the immunity of vaccinated individuals at a much faster pace compared to Delta, and at a higher rate than the unvaccinated, according to the study conducted by researchers at the University of Copenhagen, Statistics Denmark, and Statens Serum Institut.“Comparing households infected with the Omicron to Delta VOC, we found an 1.17 times higher SAR for...

As her state experiences increased pressure on the hospital and medical systems, New York Governor Kathy Hochul has issued an order intended to bring more clarity to COVID hospitalization data. The order will require hospitals to report whether a patient has been hospitalized for COVID-related reasons or has simply tested positive for COVID while at the hospital for other treatments.“Someone is in a car accident, and they go to the emergency room and they test positive for COVID while they’re there,” said Hochul, “They’re not being treated for COVID.” A surprising sentiment, particularly to people who have been saying something...

As RedState reported earlier, Joe Biden hobbled over to his creepy fake White House set today, loaded up some fake snow in his fake windows, and then set out to insult everyone’s intelligence. He trashed the unvaccinated, falsely claimed we can test our way out of the pandemic, and had several mental breakdowns, with the appearance of Biden’s senility just being expected at this point. In short, to the extent that the president said anything intelligible at all, none of it was surprising or new, and that’s what really struck me the most about it. It wasn’t just that it wasn’t...

While the snowy weather may have other plans, Democrats are still tentatively gearing up for a day of “commemoration” on January 6th. Part of that will be CNN hosting a live event from the Capitol — in what is sure to be a grotesque, gaudy spectacle — in which they trump up the world’s first “insurrection” that didn’t involve the use of deadly weapons or anyone actually attempting to take over the government. Contrary to the hysteria, someone stealing Nancy Pelosi’s beer may be a crime, but it’s not an organized coup.Yet, Democrats were also banking on another happening to...

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention amended its controversial Covid-19 isolation guidance on Tuesday, declining to add a testing requirement as public health officials expected after the agency cut its recommended quarantine time in half. In its updated guidance, the CDC said people who have recovered from the virus and have isolated for at least five days can take a rapid test if they want, but they don’t have to — falling far short of making an outright recommendation to get a negative Covid test before ending isolation. “I do not think that the clarification helped at all...

China on Tuesday said it would keep modernizing its nuclear program in the name of "safety" but called on the United States and Russia to make greater cuts to their arsenal stockpiles. ... ...Fu’s comments come one day after the five states recognized under the 1968 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) — the U.S., Russia, France, the United Kingdom and China, who are also the five permanent members (P5) of the UN Security Council — issued a joint pledge to lower the risk of nuclear war. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said in an interview on Tuesday that her fellow Republicans in Congress who have stuck by former President Trump following the Jan. 6 Capitol attack "will not be judged well by history." Haley Byrd Wilt, associate editor of The Dispatch, asked Cheney how the House Select Committee on Jan. 6 plans on providing a clear picture of the Capitol attack that is widely accepted by people across the political spectrum when the panel appeared to have little support from or involvement with the GOP. Cheney is one of only two Republican lawmakers on the committee, along...
