According to data from a Dec. 23 update from Alberta Health, 80 per cent of new cases are among the fully vaccinated. "Just by sheer math the vast majority of our population is at least partially immunized and therefor you would expect that we would have a greater proportion of cases in those with vaccine," said Dr. Deena Hinshaw.

Jacob Lang has been awaiting trial without bail in the D.C. jail for his involvement in the January 6 riot at the Capitol for almost a year, along with many others who have been charged with crimes connected to that day. With no trial date in sight, he and his fellow inmates languish in a jail they say is inhumane. The J6 prisoners’ complaints about filthy conditions and inhumane treatment resulted in a surprise inspection that found everything they were saying was true. As a result, over 400 prisoners were moved to different facilities—none of them J6 prisoners. Lang has...

Well, good on ya, Canada. It seems the motto ‘come and take it’ isn’t unique to just Americans. Our neighbors to the north have a new gun law. It’s something that anti-gun liberals want here nationwide. All Canadians that owned firearms that have been included in the nation’s latest ban on so-called assault weapons must turn them over to authorities. The only problem is that they’re not doing it (via The Reload): It seems the only people who have willingly turned over their firearms are the Australians. As the publication noted, buybacks are hardly a guarantee—they mostly fail as well....

For The West to survive and prosper, we must celebrate our heritage. It is a heritage of knowledge based freedom resisting tyranny for the sake of people. John Wycliffes pioneering translation of the Bible brought the phrase "kicking against pricks" into the English language. The original metaphor is of an oxen kicking the sharp prods of the driver of a wagon, thus making the suffering worse. In 2021-22 I see in these words the need to oppose senseless tyranny.

In certain parts of the country – namely, states with no massive mandates or lockdowns – the novel coronavirus pandemic seems to have had a less noticeable impact on the daily lives of individuals and business owners. Other states, like California and New York, have been dealing with perpetual “states of emergencies,” rapidly expanding mandates and other impositions that threaten the autonomy and basic rights of their citizens. Now, lawmakers in New York appear to be taking steps to mirror the Orwellian moves of Australia, where quarantine camps for COVID positive individuals (and even COVID negative individuals) are now commonplace.New York...

Seventh Day within the Octave of the Nativity of the Lord John 1:1-18 Friends, today we reprise the prologue of St. John’s Gospel, which we read on Christmas. The Word became flesh "and we saw his glory." All the ways that the Old Testament spoke of God’s involvement with the world come together in this description of Jesus Christ. He is the powerful Word that will not return without accomplishing his purpose. Now what is his purpose? Look to the prophet Isaiah. "The Lord has bared his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; all the ends of...
