As fully-vaccinated individuals make up an increasing percentage of new infections and hospitalization rates, experts are responding to misconceptions about vaccine efficacy.
According to data from a Dec. 23 update from Alberta Health, 80 per cent of new cases are among the fully vaccinated.
"Just by sheer math the vast majority of our population is at least partially immunized and therefor you would expect that we would have a greater proportion of cases in those with vaccine," said Dr. Deena Hinshaw.

Really? Interesting analysis. I’d wager an even greater percentage of the population is inoculated against measles and we don’t hear about massive breakthrough cases.
I understand the probabilities involved, but this is reminiscent of the "everything is cause by global warming" crowd. I doubt they tell the truth about anything.

Like most people, I am vaccinated for several diseases. I don’t get them or pass them on. I assume my body attacks and prevents the related viruses from replicating to the point where I get symptoms or shed enough virus to infect others, although I have heard it is still possible to get sick in extremely rare cases. Usually that’s if many years or even decades have passed since the vaccines.
The COVID-19 jabs are what they call leaky vaccines, and boy do they ever leak!

But, his dad is feeling much better now after a few days of rest and my friend gives all credit and glory to the vaxx and boosters for his mild case and recovery.

I’m happy his dad’s recovering from the flu and that they’re not sick with it, too. They’re good people.
When you take the shot you improve your chances of survival...by 0.01%. That’s right, that is the Absolute Risk Reduction, 0.01%.

The rate of unvaccinated people in hospital jumps to 930 per 100 thousand people, which is nearly 23 times higher.
What she's saying is the same as most others in government - take the jab, and even though you might now get Covid, "you won't get as sick."
