It's been a rough week for Alec Baldwin. The former Trump impersonator gave a questionable interview with ABC News, claiming he wasn't responsible for the gun that went off in his hand and killed a cinematographer. He deleted his Twitter account. And at some point in the middle, the District Attorney investigating what happened on the set of the Baldwin-produced movie Rust said that Baldwin is NOT in the clear. That's contrary to what Baldwin told ABC News. Obviously, the stress has gotten to him. When the New York Post's Jon Levin asked him how it was going, Baldwin freaked...

Donald Trump took a swipe at President Biden’s handling of Vladimir Putin amid the Russian president’s buildup of troops at the Ukraine border, saying Putin “is not worried” by his predecessor after the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan. “Vladimir Putin looks at our pathetic surrender in Afghanistan, leaving behind dead Soldiers, American citizens, and $85 billion worth of Military equipment. He then looks at Biden. He is not worried!” Trump said in a statement through his Save America PAC just hours after Biden finished his video call with the Russian president.

There’s a ton of stories about the ships waiting off shore to unload their cargo and ho this is causing a ‘supply chain crisis’ We don’t have a supply chain crisis... we have a manufacturing crisis. The problem isn’t that we aren’t able to unload the ships fast enough. The real problem is that we don’t make anything here and we have to import almost everything. ... Our policies should be geared toward energy independence, homegrown supply chain resiliency (make it here), and sound fiscal policy with an eye towards restraint instead of buying votes and bankrupting our coiuntry.

Chinese hackers came within minutes of shutting down a series of power stations capable of lighting three million homes in a sneak cyber attack of a sort experts warn are becoming increasingly common – and which could be used to limit Australia’s ability to respond to a military crisis in the future. On November 27, Queensland’s CS Energy was subjected to a sustained ransomware attack which sources familiar with the matter say was only stopped at the last minute before it had the potential to shut down the company’s two thermal coal plants. Had the attack been successful, it could...

Eighteen earthquakes have struck Tuesday off the Oregon coast, with the largest two reaching magnitude-5.8. The earthquakes hit far off the coast, roughly west of Newport. No tsunamis are expected. Small earthquakes strike often near Oregon’s coast, a regular reminder of the cataclysmic earthquake geologists say will happen when the pressure building between the Juan de Fuca and North American plates breaks

The Omicron variant has been detected in at least 38 countries but no deaths have yet been reported, the World Health Organization has said, amid warnings that it could damage the global economic recovery. The United States and Australia became the latest countries to confirm locally transmitted cases of the variant, as Omicron infections pushed South Africa’s total cases past 3 million. The WHO has warned it could take weeks to determine how infectious the variant is, whether it causes more severe illness and how effective treatments and vaccines are against it. “We’re going to get the answers that everybody out...

The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They know that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who...

Ford CEO Jim Farley explained to Automotive News that not all of its customers are ready to make the transition, due to their specific needs. "We have a lot of rural customers at Ford that a lot of other brands don't have. We have Super Duty customers who do heavy-duty towing: horse trailers, people in the energy business who are towing big-time loads over very long distances. It's hard for me to imagine that all those customers will go electric in the next 10 years," Farley said. "They're actually as interested in the technology as anyone, it's just their use...

When someone tells you to “follow the science” regarding Covid-19 in general and the “vaccines” in particular, point them to this abstract from a study published today. It reveals that there is a strong correlation between “vaccination” rates and the rapid mutation of Covid-19 that allow the disease to flourish in heavily-jabbed areas. And before anyone jumps the gun and assumes this study was conducted by “anti-vaxxers” or “quack” scientists, here’s an important revelation. The scientists involved in the study are extremely pro-vaxx. In fact, they are using their research to help develop new vaccines that may actually work instead...

The shooting is the latest in a string of violent incidents on the resort-studded coast, and came in the same week that a special battalion of National Guard troops were assigned to protect the area. Mexican marines with bulletproof vests, helmets and assault rifles were seen patrolling Cancun’s tourist-crowded beaches following the Tuesday shooting. On Nov. 5, a commando of drug gang gunmen stormed a beach at Puerto Morelos, a resort just south of Cancun, and opened fire in front of luxury hotels, executing two drug dealers from a rival gang. The dramatic shooting attack sent tourists scrambling for cover....

Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the Houde Select Committee investigating the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 had accumulated a “significant amount of very telling evidence.” Anchor Nicolle Wallace said, “275 witnesses, I mean, you guys haven’t subpoenaed people who don’t know anything. You’ve subpoenaed the people who were closest to the ex-president, the people who ran his campaign, and the people who gathered the insurrectionists in Washington. Marc Short is a perfect example. We looked up, and we remember that he was — Trump was so mad at him, he was banned...

In humans, aging is often associated with changes in sleeping patterns, cognitive abilities and functional network connectivity (i.e., the strength with which activity in different brain regions correlates over time). While many neuroscientists investigated these changes over the past decades, the relationship between them is still poorly understood. Researchers have recently carried out a study exploring the possible effects of sleep on the relationship between functional network connectivity (FNC) and cognitive function in the elderly. Their paper shows that, in older adults, sleep quality could modulate the association between FNC and cognitive function. "Previous studies have showed that resting-state brain...

A team of researchers has found that injecting procyanidin C1 (PCC1), a chemical found in grape seed extract, into older mice extended their lifespan. In their paper, the group describes the link between PCC1 and extended lifespan in mice and the experiments they carried out with the material. Scientists have been trying for many years to understand the aging process. The hope is that once it is understood, mitigation efforts can slow or stop the process to allow people to live longer. The researchers screened plant extracts looking for anti-aging capabilities. They came across PCC1. Initial tests showed it reduced...
