In the past few decades, there have been several undeniable trends. First, the power of government at all levels, from all three branches, has increased dramatically. Simultaneously, the quality of life for ordinary Americans, especially those living in cities, has decreased significantly. Thus, as ordinary citizens have ceded more power and control to government “experts” the living conditions in our country have deteriorated considerably. The American “dream” of upward mobility and a better standard of living than the previous generation is now impossible for many young couples. Our country’s working-class citizens are finding it more difficult to survive economically. These...

"Lockdowns," the mass quarantine of both sick and healthy people, have never before been used for disease mitigation in the modern Western world. Previously, the strategy had been systematically ruled out by the pandemic plans of the World Health Organization (WHO) and by health experts of every developed nation. So how did we get here? ...The world has been fighting a virus from China with a public health policy from China that transforms the world into China. ...It's hard to think of many things worse than marching the world toward totalitarianism out of embarrassment for failing to prevent the world's...

The Chinese government has banned under-18s from playing online games for more than an hour a day, and then only between 8pm and 9pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. The ban will be enforced by online gaming companies which are now required to strictly enforce rules requiring users to register accounts with their real identities in order to play. It follows shares in China's biggest online gaming companies slumping after state media branded their products "spiritual opium" and compared them to "electronic drugs" earlier this month.

In recent days, Twitter permanently banned independent journalist Alex Berenson, Google demonetized The Gateway Pundit from its ad network, and Chase Bank canceled the credit cards of retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. With national attention riveted over the weekend on two major stories — the frantic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan amid its fall to the Taliban and category 4 Hurricane Ida slamming into the Louisiana coast — Big Tech and woke finance dramatically extended the reach of cancel culture with brazen moves to silence and harass three high-profile voices of political and scientific dissent: independent journalist Alex Berenson, popular conservative...

Having had a long career in the litigation business, I have a well-developed appreciation for the limits on what can be accomplished through lawsuits. Among litigators, the line “Let’s sue the bastards” is always good for a laugh, in rueful recognition of the enormous amounts of effort that can be expended for little, or even negative, results. But the green environmental movement appears to have both near infinite funding and legions of adherents filled with crazed religious zeal. When somebody in this crowd blurts out “Let’s sue the bastards,” the funding immediately emerges, and ideologue lawyers line up to compete...

The Biden regime can’t find all of the Americans in Afghanistan. They don’t even know the exact number of Americans stranded in the country. But we are all supposed to believe that Joe Biden and the US Military were able to identify two ISIS-K bombers and incinerate them in a Kabul missile strike earlier today. As reported earlier – The US military today fired a missile at an apartment in Kabul, Afghanistan. But it appears Sleepy Joe may have missed his mark. Seven to nine people including several children were killed today in the US missile strike. Naseeb Zadran @NaseebKhanZ...

During an interview regarding the recent suicide attack on Kabul airport, a former Navy SEAL quipped that no one making military decisions for the United States seems to have read a history book. Lack of knowledge, he implied, is partly why America is suffering a humiliating and unconscionable defeat in Afghanistan. Here, then, is a short skeletal history of Muslim-Christian relations beginning with Islam’s founding in 622 AD by Muhammad, an Arab military leader intent on unifying the Arab world and conquering the rest. The lessons learned might put us on the right path forward. Muhammad died in 632 and,...

A viral Instagram post highlights a text message exchange in which a U.S. military servicemember states that the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit is being forced to clean a military base for the Taliban in Afghanistan. The report claims that a troop evacuation flight was cancelled by Brigadier General Farrell J. Sullivan so that Marines could sweep up trash in preparation for the Taliban takeover. The RaidTeamCo Instagram account posted screenshots of the text message exchange on Sunday, accompanied by the caption “Meanwhile on the 24 MEU! This was sent to us from one of the homies his wife is currently...

Somewhere, Nikita Khrushchev smiles. A recent survey conducted by Fox News found that an incredible 59% of Democratic voters hold a favorable view of socialism, compared to only 49% who feel the same about capitalism. What possible socialist role model(s) are these mooyaks looking to for their beliefs? North Korea? Venezuela, where people are eating their pets and the inflation rate crested at a mere 344, 509% in February of 2019 under its stalwart socialist leadership? (Higher even than the current U.S. inflation rate under Biden.) Empty store shelves in Venezuela Or perhaps Cuba, whose citizens recently took to the...

In case you hadn’t noticed, there’s an undeclared civil war going on in this country - and indeed many if not most places across the globe - about our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The divide cuts across politics, geography, occupation, gender, race, religion, and even families, and yet it’s arguably as deep and as wide as any issue that has ever faced humanity. It pits the hypochondriacs, the hysterical busybodies intent on using the virus to run everybody’s life, those who favor lockdowns and vaccine & mask mandates while refusing to discuss the science and data that opposes their...

The Taliban killed an Afghan folk singer just days after stating that they would ban music from being played in public places, former Afghan Minister of Interior Masoud Andarabi said in a tweet on Saturday. Fawad Andarabi was “brutally killed” in the village of Andarab, according to the former minister, near the Panjshir Valley that harbors a resistance force rejecting Taliban rule. The extremist group has banned playing music in public, with Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid reportedly telling the New York Times that music is prohibited in Islam. “Music is forbidden in Islam, but we’re hoping that we can persuade people...

This Sunday’s readings teach a proper understanding of God’s Law and its relationship to our hearts. The readings go a long way toward addressing the false dichotomy that many set up between love and the Law, as though the two were opposed; they are not. If we love God, we want what He wants and love what He loves. The Law describes well what God wants and loves. Indeed, the Law is letting love have its way.God is Love and His Law (no matter how averse we are to “rules”) is ultimately an expression of His love. In all the...

What makes them credible is their reliable sources, all of whom say the same thing about Biden’s, the State Department’s, and the Pentagon’s orders in Afghanistan. American troops are due to leave Afghanistan on Tuesday, even though uncounted Americans are stuck in the country. And by stuck, it appears that our American government is deliberately denying them access to Kabul airport. This isn’t a wild rumor. Instead, it comes from two eminently reliable reporters (Lara Logan and Emily Miller) and from Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL. On Saturday afternoon, Lara Logan first notified the world that American passports...

If there’s one thing you never want to do it’s disappoint the lead Children of the Corn monster. Greta Thunberg is waiting for you to act…in a way she approves of…by giving a third party, unrelated organization your money. Seriously, that appears to be the logic behind this week’s absurd entry in stupid liberal fundraising emails. Under the sender name “Greta Thunberg’s Warning,” the left-wing group 314 Action Fund sent the die warning with the subject line, “the Gulf Stream could collapse.” Who knew we were so close to the destruction of the world and it all hinges on whether...

The fact that both the Clinton and Biden schemes operate in the open with such impunity is an indictment of the DOJ and its various agencies. What does Hunter Biden’s art and the Clinton Foundation have in common? We’ll circle back to that in a moment. First, let’s take a look at what happened to the Clinton Foundation since Madame Secretary Box-Wine lost the presidential election of 2016. Surprise, surprise, its donations have all dried up. But the foundation is still chartered to provide worldwide charity. Have its donors suddenly become less charitable -- all of them? Don’t the friends...

For criticizing President Biden’s disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, Lt. Col Stuart Scheller has lost his commission and is having his mental health questioned by the Marine Corps. For criticizing President Biden’s disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, Lt. Col Stuart Scheller has lost his commission and is having his mental health questioned by the Marine Corps. Meanwhile, with the current POTUS showing signs of cognitive impairment, a noted psychiatrist who maintained President Trump was mentally impaired appears to be silent. Questions currently raised, in the context of Biden's Afghanistan humiliation reminded me of the attacks on President Trump's mental stability from leftist...

I will admit my own relatively minor failure: I voted for invertebrate-con Mitt Romney in 2012 and have spent the last nine years regretting it, but now I look at the saps who checked the box for that crusty old pervert who’s busy flushing our country down the crapper and I feel really bad for them. Well, at least for those Biden voters who weren’t dead when they cast their ballots. They thought that mean tweets and dating Playboy models was so outrageously awful that they needed to exchange him for a half-wit plagiarist with busy hands and a slothful...
