The global pandemic, the ongoing cultural revolution, and the divisive politics of the 2020 election have revealed the extent to which the American republic has trended toward oligarchy. Throughout the pandemic, federal and state officials have determined which businesses would close, which would stay open, who must wear masks, and where they must wear them. Our ruling class decided what gatherings were permissible and what gatherings were impermissible. Our governmental and medical elites decided what drugs our doctors could prescribe for us and what drugs they could not. And they have made clear that the unvaccinated population will have fewer...

The Biden administration has discovered a back door into raising the effective minimum wage. Paying lucrative supplemental unemployment benefits, which is effectively subsidizing leisure, increases the opportunity cost of working and thereby places upward pressure on wages as employers seek to incentivize would-be employees to move off the couch and into the workforce. No minimum-wage legislation and political combat with the Republicans is required to implement this policy. The federal government need only keep the spigot open on supplemental unemployment benefits, and employers seeking to attract workers will have no choice but to increase the wages offered to compete. The...

The likely explanation is that among the current virus carriers, some 2,000 are schoolchildren, and half of them were fully vaccinated. Both groups are very unlikely to develop severe forms of the disease, even though it occasionally happens. At the moment, around 60% of the patients in serious conditions were vaccinated. "Percent of cases that turn critically ill is now 1.6%, compared to 4% at a similar stage in the 3rd wave when there were no vaccines," Prof. Eran Segal, a computational biologist at the Weizmann Institute of Science who advises the coronavirus cabinet, tweeted on Friday. He said that...

Editor's Note: This piece was authored by Garion Frankel. The fight against critical race theory (CRT) in classrooms is raging across America. Led by the Manhattan Institute’s Christopher Rufo and Reason’s Corey DeAngelis, parents and students around the country are pushing against the academic practice, which teaches children that thanks to their skin color, they’re inherently evil. It’s racism in its most obvious form. Enter Randi Weingarten, a lawyer, longtime union executive, and the current president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). Weingarten has argued that those forces pushing back against CRT are part of “radical circles” that seek to...

Sen. Bernie Sanders, the self-described Democratic socialist who for years stood at the edges of Senate Democratic policy debates, is now at the center of power and on the cusp of a major policy victory that will put his stamp on government spending and policy for years to come. Before his surprisingly successful 2016 Democratic primary campaign, Sanders for much of his legislative career in Congress was largely ignored by more moderate colleagues. At the weekly Senate Democratic caucus lunches, Sanders would routinely stand up to speak, and colleagues would often tune him out or wave him off with joking...

Why would any American hate America First policies? Why would American politicians despise America First? Why would someone born, raised, and rearing children in America not want America First? What is wrong with putting the needs, wants, security, and future of your own country first, ahead of others? Why would any American want to diminish the potential of their own country and thus its citizens and thus his family for the sake of elite globalists who ignore the average American at every turn? Why put the globalists' ambitions ahead of hardworking families who only want better for their own kids...

The column’s title struck you as click-bait, right? Or maybe you thought the Babylon Bee, Saturday Night Live, etc. somehow got their post and skit titles mixed up with Townhall’s, right? Well: Check this out, and remember that a snickering Stalinist Cuba sits prominently on the very UN Human Rights Council which the Biden team just invited. “Guns? What for?...to fight the government? The Cuban people don’t need guns nowadays.” – Fidel Castro during his very first speech upon entering Havana Jan. 8, 1959. Some guns in the hands of Cuban freedom-lovers would sure come in handy this week, as...

The federal effort by the Biden administration to reduce gun violence on the streets of Chicago will be ineffective if the local prosecutor continues to allow the release of murder and attempted murder suspects back onto the streets to wreak future havoc, according to a retired police sergeant. "What is needed are stricter laws and the enforcement of existing laws," retired Chicago police Sgt. Peter Koconis told Fox News. "Catch and release does not work. There has to be a penalty when these gang members are arrested for using or carrying a weapon." There were 101 murder suspects and 21...

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Dr. Anthony Fauci said Friday on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that it was “folly” to think you will be fine without getting vaccinated against the COVID-19. Guest-host Tiffany Cross said a lot of people have a lot of questions. When I come across people who haven’t been vaccinated, they say, ‘I’ve been OK so far. I haven’t caught COVID. I’m more anxious about the vaccine than catching covid. What is your advice to those folks tonight?”

Jorge Bergoglio, numerous bishops, etc, have shown they are not the kind and caring proponents of Vatican II they made themselves out to be. The treatment Traditionalists receive from Vatican II types and modernists is how Antifa treats someone carrying the American flag or wearing a red MAGA hat. This was known by many, but now more see the truth. Bergoglio suspended the TLM but not clown masses, scantily-clad women dancing in NO masses, hip-hop and rock music playing during NO masses, etc. YT is literally overrun with videos showing these things occurring and a very substantial number are from...

The theory that the coronavirus escaped from the Wuhan lab is at least as credible as the possibility it jumped from a bat to a human naturally, senior Biden administration officials told CNN. The lab leak theory - which was once rejected by medical experts as a conspiracy - has gained traction in recent months, prompting President Joe Biden to dispatch intelligence agencies in May to find answers and report back in 90 days. At the halfway point, no concrete evidence has emerged that supports one hypothesis over the other, but multiple sources overseeing the review told CNN on Friday...

“There wasn’t a man I met with that didn’t try to sleep with me,” Old Hollywood icon Lainie Kazan tells Page Six. Her strategy for defusing such situations? “Sometimes I tried to play dumb. [As if] I didn’t see it, I didn’t understand it. You know, it was playful. There was no way to be as direct as we are now.” But Kazan points out that when she did end up in an “entanglement” with a suitor it was “not because the guy was saying, ‘You’re not getting the role otherwise.'”

A Hong Kong Instagram star tragically plummeted to her death after she slipped while snapping a selfie at a waterfall. The shocking incident occurred after Sofia Cheung, 32, and three friends embarked on a trip to Ha Pak Lai park around 11 a.m. Saturday, the Sun reported. The influencer had decided to take selfies at the edge of a waterfall at the park’s Pineapple Mountain site — a locale popular with hikers at sunset — when she apparently lost her footing and fell into the 16-foot pool below. Cheung’s horrified friends promptly called emergency services, who quickly arrived and whisked...

Colin Sutton remembers how he felt standing face-to-face with the serial killer who murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler. The senior Met Police officer was about to charge Levi Bellfield, one of the UK's most notorious criminals, with murder - and the pressure to catch him had been immense. Bellfield kidnapped and murdered 13-year-old Milly in March 2002, but it would be several years before his involvement in her death was realised. The nightclub doorman went on to kill 19-year-old Marsha McDonnell who was beaten to death yards from her home in February 2003. A year later, Bellfield struck again as he...

British funeral director John O’Looney has revealed to architect and film producer Robin Monotti how he experienced this “fake pandemic. “Mortality was at normal levels and was even slightly lower than 2019,” he wrote in a message on Telegram.O’Looney said many of his colleagues turned off their refrigerators around Christmas because “nobody died. “We started vaccinating here on January 6, and then almost immediately the number of deaths went through the roof. I have never experienced such a high mortality rate in 15 years as a funeral director.”He posted this message on YouTube under a video about corona. It was...

Traditionis Custodes: The New Atom BombSeventy-six years ago, on July 16, 1945, the first atomic bomb was detonated in a lonely desert 210 miles south of Los Alamos, New Mexico. Today, on July 16, 2021, Pope Francis has dropped an atom bomb on the Catholic Church that will harm not just those who “adhere to the Latin liturgical tradition” but everyone who values continuity and coherence, reverence and beauty, our heritage and our future. The document is dripping with condescension and heartlessness, designed like a Swiss Army knife to equip bishops with as many ways of inconveniencing or hounding tradition-loving Catholics...
