Sharonell Fulton and Toni Simms-Busch should be household names. Fulton and Simms-Busch were the plaintiffs in a recent foster-care and religious-liberty case at the Supreme Court. It was a unanimous ruling, as you may have heard, and that is somewhat remarkable. The Centers for Disease Control is investigating three mysterious cases of a bacterial disease that is typically found in tropical climates — yet the infected people have not left the United States. In a health alert posted Wednesday, the CDC said that they are working with the health departments of Kansas, Texas and Minnesota to determine how three people — two adults and one child — contracted melioidosis disease, an infection caused by the Burkholderia pseudomallei bacteria. It is difficult to believe that it has almost been a year since his sudden death from a pulmonary embolism on July 24, the day after he and his wife, Mary, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. A former New York administrative judge resigned and apologized Friday over a Halloween costume he wore in 1988 of “a well-known public figure of color,” according to a press release. Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry's history of offensive tweets has been uncovered after she snubbed the American national anthem during trials last weekend. Berry, 32, made a variety of tasteless jokes and observations in messages dating back up to ten years, but which are still visible on her account. The latest procurement of these tanks by Pakistan comes at a time when its arch-rival India is also planning to enhance its fleet of tanks and armored vehicles.
